Cherry is always gonna say that stuff when the only Canadian team left gets booted. Its all about ratings. Does he continue to do coaches corner now that all of the great white norths teams are gone?
And how about that fucktard Cherry who just said that the best team lost !

Gawd I wasn't quick enough to switch chanels before I heard this prehistoric a$shole who probably woke up in the last 5 minutes of the game to say that Ottawa was the best team because they did a great effort to try and tie the game.

Hey moron ! you should have watch the hole game instead of dozzing in your rocking chair !
Rangers were controling all the way to these last minutes !

C'l'temps de retourner a manger mou... vieux crouton !

This coming from a guy who has probably started and or escalated more arguments in the history of MERB (and other SEX boards) in non sports threads. (of course sports threads as well, but at least they are expected in here from time to time) When are you retiring "merlot" in favor of another kindler/gentler name?:crazy: Here, let me help...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4t5Y5Wr66w

Iggy's mode of thought has been to bitch about anything and everything related to the opposition and their fans since he arrived. It's never been about sports, it's about being an antagonist. As you say, real fans appreciate the the sport itself, the game and the pursuit of excellence, no matter which team or which player. He enjoys blind idolatry for his team and players, and attacking anything else. His take on Burke as a genius despite four years of utter failure is the irrefutable proof of blind idolatry, and his statement above shows how narrow his personal view of sports is. This is not appreciation of sports, it's an obsession with bias. Coming to a review board and NEVER posting a review...obsession. Pissing is his game! PERIOD!!! People who love sports appreciate real competition and EXCELLENCE wherever it is. Sports are not about loving to hate.

Cheers,

Merlot

Wait  What ...

You sound like Cherry..."wait, what, oh ! here's the guy, here's the guy I said... wait what's this... now here's the guy... no let me talk about...now watch him, now huh ? what's playing ? Oh ! I thought we were gonna show..."

C' l'temps d'allez manger mou la cerise !

Muthaf*cker coached Boston 5 years back in the 70s, never won the cup and got creamed twice by Habs 4-0 and 4-2 in the finals back to back.

Beam that clown up Scotty... !
He doesn't know sh!t how you won the cup so many times with so many different teams !

My favorite team is Montreal Canadiens.

Seeking solace by relating to other losers...

Then it was a season of pure heavenly ecstasy for you.

This coming from a guy...

...a guy like you who never had any intention of contributing to this board...and still REFUSES to.

Not one bit of denial of my post. Thanks for the confirmation.

If you had any real love of sports you wouldn't have abandoned the the official sports threads to satisfy your addiction to pissing in Free-For-All threads. :thumb:

Wait for it. Now more shots from both of you. I think I'll pass on this boredom from now on.

adieu,

Merlot

BTW...Doc will be back. He can't stand having his sports junk totally ignored on the blueboard, especially when he can get kissed here for anything he posts. :thumb:

Your cheers cracks me up

Well since Merlot can easily answer for himself if he wants to.
I will answer this one on behalf of my dear mother-in-law  who lives in Boston.

At least Merlot was able to cheer for a whole year...

Somethin' Leafs fan didn't do since the Arpanet, the bar code and the first ATM was invented ! :eyebrows:

As did habs fans this past season, although you were cheering for something a little different, cheering you would not end the season in the basement, I guess you should of cheered harder  the glory years are a thing of the past, be thankful at least you have a good goalie tho, that kept you from being dead last in the entire league. :thumb:

Sure did ! I know Leafs would have want one in order not to go from 1st to 26th

Anyway ! Habs, Leafs, Bruins, Wings and Hawks are out.

Only Rangers from the original 6 is still playing and it doesn't look they will grab the cup.
Aside Lunquist, Richards and Callahan there's not much fire left in this team for now.

Last cup they won was a year after Habs so if they don't make it, it will be a long shot to the next.

Hello Gentle,

I saw it when it was posted. Iggy is worthless to answer.

But I'll address your post. This is why no one except his sycophant parrot(s) respects him on sports. Anyone can see he needs a losers rationale of a 26th place team to comfort his forlorn lost sports soul. Never mind that he abandoned his own team well before the season ended.

Same with Doc. Maybe there's some excuse why a devoted fan can't control his chronic anger and unhappiness after following a team that has totally sucked for 45 years and is still trending to suckier...if possible. Anyone can feel sorry for an old guy seeing his end and losing all hope for his team. But when it's taken to the level of spewing hate and needing blueballs parasites to harass by PM, then it's become sickness. :amen: :thumb:

For myself, the Bruins Stanley Cup Championship is so recent they still have possession. I've seen the Bruins take three Cups, and I can't decide which was best???

1. The first when I had just become a fan and got to live the glory of ultimate sports fantasy fulfillment while in the first full flush of pure fan sports ecstasy?

2. Or both reliving and renewing that perfection of bliss. :D  :whoo:

What do you think Gentle?

Doc can only hope, as the limited years left pass and his anger grows, he might see something that isn't rotting on ancient 8mm film. Iggy, he better pray he even gets a whiff of the Cup at all. Too bad he missed the time the Bruins brought it to Toronto with them. He may never get closer.

Cheers,

Merlot

I know for a fact that you're justifiably bitter about yourself & the cards that you've been dealt with, but why all the hate? Why so obsessed with Iggy & myself? Do you always have to bring up our names whenever you're having a temper tantrum? I know it's been a tough month of April for Boston's professional teams, and of course, the Red Sox suck as much as they did last September, and the Leafs got a 2-week headstart over the Bruins on the golfcourse, and now former Patriot Junior Seau couldn't deal with life anymore & decided to end it all, but can't we all get along as all true sports fans should? At least you still have the Celtics, even though they suck also.

Group hug anyone? :)

Hey Doc,

That was fast. 5 minutes. An instant tantrum proving my point.

When did the last Toronto team go to the playoffs? No wonder you're soooo BLUE!

You're joking, but I'm calling it even. You??? Hope so. Doesn't matter though.

You're pissed because Toronto hasn't been to the playoffs for a while?? Really?? I thought the fact your Bruins got eliminated by the lowly Washington Capitals in the first round might have triggered it....or the fact that the Boston Red Sox absolutely suck once again.....heck, you almost sound like one of the bitter tweeters who crapped all over Joel Ward after he scored the winning goal which eliminated the Bruins.

Say it ain't so, Merlot....say it ain't so!

I still luv ya, buddy! :amen:

Ah, Korbel! A familiar name from the past. He was a Yankees fan. Whatever happened to him? I heard somewhere that he had passed away from an undiagnosed minor sexual disease a few years ago. However, a few people later claimed that it wasn't so & that he had simply fallen in love with a young beauty queen & decided to walk away from the hobby, preferring to finance & support his new love's lifestyle.

A veteran of the boards, he seemed like a nice guy who didn't stir any shit wherever he posted. Rarely would you hear a negative word about this former hobbyist. If ever our friend Korbel ever decides to stop supporting his young mistress (if the rumours are true, that is) and come back to the hobby, he will be welcome with open arms.

What can i say? I miss the young lad! :D
