They're raiding the Air Canada Center, they've got millions of these in storage from all the years of wearing them, of course, they saved a bunch for the 2nd half of this season. Haha.

And the ACC got em from Fenway Park, ya know, because of a certain team that failed for 86 years.... Ha Ha ;)

Sorry to inform you "hockey fan" but the Leafs haven't made the playoffs since the 2003-2004 season. And they haven't won a Stanley Cup for almost half a century. Epic fail. I can't relate but I can imagine the feeling.

And your point? They still lost. No one cares about their winning percentage, stop trying to impress me with google lol. They lost, this is the point.

I don't think anyone would mind.

The 2004-05 season was a wash due to the lockout. And the Habs haven't won a Cup in nearly 20 years. Boston hadn't won a Cup in 40 years. Leafs haven't won a Cup in 44 years. Big deal, it's all about the present, and the future. :D

Not exactly a great prediction so far. They are undefeated in 2012 with 4 straight regular time victories.

Plan the parade hahaha

With Gionta out & the Habs needing to win at least 1 out of their 2 next games, Gomez' presence in the lineup will be a boost, no doubt about it. Hopefully for the Habs, Scotty won't take too long to regain his scoring touch. He's a proficient goal scorer & being the true pro that he is, it shouldn't be too long before he starts to put 'Sidney Crosby-like' numbers on the board.

And 4 impressive victories as well, and finally that highly paid, highly talented defense is playing the way that many felt they would at the beginning of the season, it just takes time sometimes to gel as a unit. It also helps having very good goaltending as of late.

What is ironic is that many in the Mtl media predicted last season that the Leafs were showing great potential & would be a team to look out for in the near future. Speaking of the Mtl media, i was watching TVA Sports yesterday & they were talking about Brian Burke being on Twitter. They showed a few of his tweets & were absolutely envious at Leafs fans (and Toronto media) for having such an open GM......a GM that isn't afraid to talk with the media, with his fans, etc.

I wouldn't even wish him on the Leafs.

Cammalleri: "We play like Losers!"

(ummmmm, DUH)

The Montreal Canadiens continue to struggle this season, most recently being the victims of a 3-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night.

At one end of the ice, the Canadiens fans cheered their former beloved goaltender Jaroslav Halak, who earned a shutout against his old club. At the other end of the ice, current Canadiens forward Mike Cammalleri was the target of boos by those frustrated by the team losing and the forward's season-long scoring slump.

Cammalleri has seen his ice-time drop and it appears his frustration is now on the rise, something that became evident after practice on Wednesday when he continued the conversation with NHL.com and Francois Gagnon from RDS and La Presse.

"I can't accept that we will display a losing attitude as we're doing this year. We prepare for our games like losers. We play like losers. So it's no wonder why we lose," Cammalleri said in response to questions about the repeated failures of the Canadiens.

"You've got to be sensitive to the fact that Canadiens fans live and die by their team," Cammalleri told reporters. "So if anything, you can identify with how they feel. They're unhappy, and they let you know it. So I wasn't disappointed; I think moreso I probably expected it."

Cammalleri went on to say that his team is playing with fear, scared to make mistakes. He referenced the Canadiens' playoff run where they reached the Eastern Conference finals two seasons ago, stating that during that time, the team played as if they could beat anyone. He went on to say that the team's approach to games is completely opposite this season.

"When you display a losing attitude like we do now, you lose more often than you win and you stay in the same place. When you show a winning attitude, you are not stifled by mistakes and you respond to a mistake with 15 good plays at the other end, you win and you get out of misery. This is not what we are doing here now, " remarked Cammalleri.

After his playoff heroics the last two seasons, Cammalleri has nine goals and 22 points in 37 games putting him on pace for the lowest totals of his career.

Head coach Randy Cunneyworth sees no issue with Cammalleri's ice-time.

"If there's something there I don't like, then obviously they're going to see limited ice-time," said Cunneyworth.

"I think their ice-time was pretty fair (Tuesday) night and we have to get some production from our top guys, as usual. But they're also out there trying to take care of a solid line that they're opposing so they have to make sure they're good in their own end. If you're not scoring, then you have to be preventing goals the other way."

Here is a great response from a Leafs fan i found in the comments section after the article. Some of it I agree with, but not all of it. ;)

As a leafs fan this is great to read but coming from where we came from and where we still need to go. I can honestly say I feel for u Habs fans this is the beginning of a lot of losing seasons unhappy vets impossible to move big salaries and a decaying faith in management. Sound familiar? Maybe don't be so quick to bash us leafs fans

CONGRATULATIONS TO DION PHANEUF!

Yes folks the Leaf captain has done it again! He has REPEATED his victory of last year by being voted Most Overrated Player in the Entire NHL.

Two years in a row is quite an achievement for Dion. 161 NHL players voted.

The Top 10 Most Overrated:

1. DION PHANEUF
2. Ovechkin
3.Scotty Gomez
4.Luongo
5.Dany Heatley
6.Kovalchuk
7.Lecavalier
8.Bouwmeester
9. Kesler
10. Komi

Two Leafs, 2 Canucks - of course zero Red Wings.

The most amusing selections are # 3 and # 10 - how can Gomez and Komi be overrated when they ALREADY have no respect in the hockey world? Oh and shouldn't Mike Cammaleri be on this list...near the TOP?

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only is he getting talked about for the Norris by many NHL journalists and insiders, but he is beloved by his teammates and Leafs Nation and has grown into a true Captain,(when all the haters said he was the wrong guy for the job) and done so in the most pressure packed hockey city of Toronto and one of the toughest places in all of sports to play and thrive. Love the jealousy of the guys who voted for Dion, Job well done boys  I am sure Dion takes this as a positive or knowing him, a Compliment! because he plays HIS WAY and gets opponents pissed. He plays that way and this is not a negative at all, Go DION Go! Leafs fans love ya Captain Canada and thats all that matters.

(so much for polls btw, the man was only VOTED into the Allstar Game in 2 weeks as a STARTER! Bwhahahahahaahaha.)

Hey, he does smile! then again he has many reasons to do so, but this is one of the best reasons, well her and the jealous haters lol.

Changing peoples quotes to reflect what you want them to again mert? Were you not warned to never do that again or you could get yet another suspension? I am so glad your not allowed to stalk me anymore with your 15 pm's a day berating me about nonsense also. I know this is the free for all but you have been warned many times and changing ppls quotes the way you do is sad and pathetic on your part. If you cant play by the rules, dont play at all. Talk about credibility, Bwhahahahaahahahaahahahaha

Lets take you to Hockey School 101, AGAIN, shall we?.... Cammalerri, in case you did not know (well, DUH) who am i kidding asking a ?'in like that about anything hockey, to you? ... back to Cammy and Toronto, newsflash, HE WANTED to play for the Leafs right before he signed in Montreal, but Brian Burke said "thanks, but no thanks", so he settled for les habitants instead. Dont believe me, look it up, i dont need to waste anymore time educating you on the game, at least not right now.
Ish,

Cammalleri was also heard to say, if I wanted this I'd play in Toronto where it's expected every year.

ummmmm DUH,

Iggy,

You are the biggest crier I ever knew of. It is NOT changing quotes to use only a section of any post with a complete sentence that has NO alterations, in fact the mods have encouraged members NOT to quote entire posts as a waste of space. Not a single letter was changed. Nothing I have written is personally directed at you, it's all within the rules, something which you are incapable of handling.

Yesterday, you made this comment in the NHL thread which is only for on-subject posts, NOT personal attack comments at members. You break the rules when ever you can't handle a post, as well as your own "I live in the present" rules.

And you wonder why you get suspended. Must be a "party night" again, eh?
Coming from a fan of a baseball team that took 86 Years to win a world series, well...... you know the rest

This is a free for all thread, something which you of all people demand, and still you cry.

Now you bring up suspensions and the the stalking issue concerning PMs (which the mod knows it was me who asked him to have you stop your constant crap) knowing these subjects are totally out of bounds. None of what you have done with personal attacks, or bringing up goading taboo issues in just the last 24 hours belongs on any thread.

It's too bad you don't spent one thousandth of the time serving the purpose of this board as you do pissing. You are shady beyond belief.

Cheers,

Merlot

This said the king of the subject at hand. Nice try boy, but you know as well as I that your quoting the article and not what I said directly and you also added to the quote with your little underlined words so therefore, OUI, you are guilty of what you have been warned about several times...like another poster has said more than once, you are the master manipulator on this board.

Play by the rules and stop doing what m8 warned you about several times. I have no problem going back and forth with the "your team sucks, my team sucks, your player sucks my player sucks" silly lockerroom antics but grow up about adding and changing peoples quotes that you have been warned about over and over. I did it once a cpl years ago and special k called me out about it and i agreed he was right and i dont need to stoop to those levels, yet you do again and again, that tells alot about you. Honestly, merlot, i have to much fun with you and would hate to see you banned again. Smarten up buddy.

Now, onto the theme of the thread... Interesting video about this whole Cunneyworth and should the coach of les habitant speak French or not? Well lets see what the habs themselves have to say about it. (Nice to see Cammalerri make an appearance before the door DID NOT hit him in the A** on his way out of town, good look to Cammy in the C)
