But Joe, what have you to say about your very own Raiders? Embarrassed by Miami??? Really, Miami? And it wasn't even close!! Now there's a team that will not make the playoffs...again but they're used to that in Raider Nation. Lol.

Iggy- Much obliged, if you want to make a lot of money this year just follow my picks, stay tuned my good man.

But, but, but SK, nobody expects the Raiders to make the playoffs but a lot of people are picking the Pats to win the Superbowl, which will be the bigger disappointment?, good luck against the angry Ravens next week, the Pats are going to need it big time.

BTW- I already have the Ravens penciled in for the win, In fact, I might pick them for my sureshot of the week pick.

Hahaha, that's true, nobody ever expects the Raiders to win because they're a suck franchise and have been for decades now. Lol. If betting were legal on the board I'd be happy to wager that the Pats make the playoffs with you but unfortunately we can't do that ;)

The Raiders have sucked donkey balls for a long time now. They have been drafting a lot of guys who turned out to be busts, the biggest one being Jamarcus Russell. He was the overall #1 NFL Draft pick in 2007 and out of the league after 3 years. He had a passer rating of 50.0 for the whole 2009 season, among the worst NFL seasons of all time. If you ask me he is the biggest NFL bust of all time. And since then they took Darren McFadden very high (#4) in 2008 and he has not set the world on fire either. When you keep picking busts with high picks it is not a recipe for turning a team around.

Beav- On Mcfadden, he has been injured every year, that's his main problem, he can't seem to stay healthy, Carson Palmer has stated that the thinks that Mcfadden is the best player in the NFL, if he stays healthy he will lead the league in rushing this year(My prediction).

If he has not been healthy since 2008 why do you think he will suddenly start being healthy now? It may have something to do with his upright running style. Some guy are injury prone because they have brittle bodies, some because of how they play, some because they don't take proper care of themselves in the offseason and training camp. In the final analysis it does not matter if the result if they are not out on the field. I like guys who are durable. The Giants have a guy Ahmad Bradshaw who is tough as nails and a warrior but he gets continual injuries (I think because of his running style) and he is becoming completely unreliable. I love him when he is healthy but he is never healthy. McFadden cannot lead the NFL in rushing from the injured list.

I heard on WFAN coming home from work that Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz were the 1st receiving tandem to both go over 175 yards in a game in NFL history.

Cruz: 11 catches, 179 yards, 80 yard TD
Nicks: 10 catches 199 yards, TD

The above damage was done even while being held, grabbed, pushed, shoved and punched ON EVERY PLAY in the second half because the Bucs could not cover them.

I heard Eli Manning on WFAN being interviewed by Francesa. Eli said he communicated to the TB defense on the last play that he was taking a knee. He has no idea what they were thinking other than to take a cheapshot.

After a "TERRIFIC" week 2, (3 out of 4), here are my picks for week 3.

Carolina +1.5 over Giants
Oakland +5.5 over Pittsburgh
Jets -3 over Miami

My sure shot guarantee to make you money pick of the week is really a no brainer, Baltimore -3 over New England, expect the knives to start flying out of Brady's pockets after the game,(known for his backstabbing and blaming others when he plays terrible(remember last year when the offensive coach had to be restrained from going after Brady?), this team is absolutely horrible and is in a terrible mess.

Is Tom Brady finished?, it sure is starting to look that way.

Joe.T,

The Giants are missing 3 offensive starters (Nicks, Diehl, and Bradhsaw) and their #3 receiver and punt returner (Hixon) for tonight's game. On defense, starting CB Prince Amukamar returns. Giants need a big game from their D tonight. On offense, I look for the Panthers to double team the shit out of Cruz, meaning Eli will need to go to Martellus Bennett a lot. Ramses Barden, who has barely played in 3 years, starts at the other WR spot. He is big at 6'6" but has so so hands. Reuben Randle is the new #3 receiver, a rookie from LSU. Randle is 6'3" and has good size, and may see a lot of time.

Andre Brown starts at RB for the G Men. He played well last week, and the OL looked good last week, no sacks in 51 pass plays, how about that Joe?

Your pick is not unreasonable, but I think the Giants will foil your pick with a big game from the D.

Eli played well last night but the Giants are on fire right now. They lost their 1st game against Dallas mainly because Prince Amukamara was out at CB and the replacments were torched by the Cowboys. However we see that the Giants depth at other positions is much better.

I think after last night Dominik Hixon lost his job as 3rd wide receiver to Ramses Barden. You should not lose your job due to an injury in a world that is fair, but in this case Hixon likely did. Hixon in his entire career never came close to having a game like Barden did last night. And I really don't think it was all due to Cruz being double teamed, because the Panthers were playing a lot of zone coverage from what I could see.

As far as Martellus Bennett I very much like what I see. Historically, the Giants want Tight Ends who can block first and catch passes second, as opposed to the Patriots who want guys who can catch first and throw an occasional block when needed second. Bennett looks like a very interesting package of both skills. He is an enormous man and when the Panthers face masked him and ripped his helmet off he looked like a wild animal whose cage had been rattled with a sabre. Gotta love it!

And as far as Jason Pierre-Paul, what can I say except that he is a one man wrecking crew on NFL offensive lines, QBs and RBs. Teams are very frightened of him and they have to game plan to keep him blocked because the dude is an animal.

I am going to give Joe a pass on the Giants game because nobody could have foreseen how the Giants subs would perform. Joe probably should not have touched the game, in hindsight. I have to be honest that the performances of Ramses Barden and Andre Brown shocked me. Less shocking was the performance of the Giants defense and JPP in particular. The man is a beast, and when a beast is unleashed, destruction is sure to follow.
