I do know that the Patriots are off to their worst start since 2005 and the way that they were picked apart by the 29th rated QB tells the whole story of their defence, they are in a heap of trouble, like I said many times before, this team will not make the playoffs, I can't wait to see them get beat by the Jets next week, go Rex Ryan go!!!!!.

Iggy- Not only am I on a roll but I am on fire, not a single losing week all year, enjoy June bro, I heard that she's a sweetheart.

Patriots-Jets next weekend looks mildly more interesting but I am picking the Pats in that one.

Giants-Skins could also be an interesting game. Skins had Giants' number last year, and don't look now but RG3 is number 3 in the NFL passer rating rankings behind Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning with a QB rating over 100. To me it is almost unbelievable that a rookie QB has a rating over 100 6 weeks in, but he does. I look for the Giants' defense to calm him down a bit.

The Pats D is going to be the death of them. Going on 3+ years they've had one of the worst secondary's in all of football! It's unacceptable. How can you not patch that up in previous seasons? It's so f'n irritating to watch.

And they will be matched up against the worst corps of receivers in the entire NFL. Santonio Holmes was the only WR on the Jets roster talent-wise capable of starting in the NFL, and he is now out for the season. I would say it is a wash and the Patriots O prevails in this one.

I can't believe that the spread is at -13 for the Patriots, I believe that Ryan will have his guys fired up for this one as First place is on the line, also the Patriots might have the worst pair of starting CB's in the NFL with the 28th ranked pass defence(pathetic), I think that the game is a toss up, look for a big game from Antonio Cromartie, I'm taking the Jets plus the points big time.

Joe.t,

Here are the NFL passer ratings, note that Mark Sanchez is #31 out of 33:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/p...sort/quarterbackRating/year/2012/seasontype/2

His 49.7% completion percentage, although assisted by many dropped passes by his receivers, is the worst in the NFL. Even back in the halcyon days of the 1970s when defenses were permitted to abuse QBs and WRs, a completion percentage under 50% was considered to suck donkey balls. In todays NFL, it should get you benched at least. I guess the Jets think it is the receivers' fault.

If the game is a tossup on the field, then taking the Jets and the points is the way to go. Personally I think the spread is just about appropriate. I think the Patriots will put up points on the Jets, win the game and possibly cover the spread. I would say it is 55%-45% that the Pats cover. The Pats do not need to worry about the Jets passing attack, because it sucks.

Have you seen the Pats secondary Beav? They couldn't stop your high school QB from putting up points!!

Pats passing defense is #29 out of 32, so it is bad, but not the worst:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/passing/position/defense

Meanwhile, Jets passing offense is also ranked #29 out of 32, yet to me I think they are worse than their stats:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/passing

Since losing Santonio Holmes, the Jets have no reliable wide receiver and they are not a threat to hit a deep pass. They will likely go to the TE Keller a lot who will presumably be picked up in coverage by a linebacker. However I don't think Keller is 100% healthy. The Pats can actually suck against the Jets in coverage and get away with it, because the Jets WRs cannot catch the ball. Furthermore, Mark Sanchez is completing less than 50% of his passes, the only NFL QB with an under 50% completion percentage. So there is some real sucking going on in the Jets passing offense.

I've got the Pats over the inept Jets. The Pats' defence sucks, but their offense still dominates half the teams in the league. The Jets are still a very dysfunctional team, led by a dysfunctional head coach. I can't believe they're considering playing Tim Tebow at running back for Sunday's game. Oh, how he must regret refusing to be traded to Jacksonville!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats beat the Jets by more than 2 touchdowns.

3-1 last week which officially makes me "On Fire!!!!", still have not had a losing week, my legendary picks for this week-

Jets +10.5 over New England(Rex should have his boys all fired up for this one as first place is on line, expect a huge game from Cromartie, I would not be surprised to see the Jets take this one).
Tampa +2.5 over New Orleans.
Indy -2.5 over Cleveland.

Sureshot pick of the week is Buffalo -4.5 over Tennessee.

Jets contact NFL to complain about Pats offense

The New York Jets, concerned about their ability to substitute between plays when the New England Patriots shift into their up-tempo offense, reached out to the NFL to make sure the game officials properly enforce the substitution rules.

"We have already talked to the league office and Rex (Ryan) will be in the ref's ear about this all game," a member of the Jets' coaching staff told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio Saturday night.

The Jets will emphasize the point during the pregame meeting with the game officials, as they always do, a senior team official told Paolantonio.

This story has grown in recent days. It reached a crescendo Wednesday, when linebacker Calvin Pace told ESPNNewYork.com that the Patriots' no-huddle is "borderline illegal."

By rule, the defense is allowed to substitute if the offense makes a substitution. The Jets say the Broncos were burned two weeks ago against the Patriots because the rule wasn't consistently enforced.

"If the officials permit (the Patriots) to do that, then the game is going to become chaos,"” defensive coordinator Mike Pettine told the New York Daily News.

On Friday, Ryan discussed the issue publicly.

"Sometimes when they substitute, you're supposed to be allowed to substitute with them," he said. "We'll see about that, but they move at such a quick pace that you have to be alert, and if you have to sub, you have to make your substitution extremely quick.

"What they do is super-quick. Still, the rules are (that) you have to be set a full count. They're set a full count, but you have to know it's a count and here it comes. It certainly is a challenge ... After the game, I'll be able to tell you more. The fact they're playing at home, I think (you will) see more of that no-huddle than perhaps you (will) on the road."

Two teams that i dislike. It's not surprising to see Rex Ryan using such tactics to try to get the opposing team's focus off the game. Bushleague!

Blazing Finish To Giants-Skins

Amazing finish to the Giants-Skins game. RG3, who had another tremendous game, threw an amazing pass to Santana Moss for a go ahead TD that put the Skins up 23-20, only to see Eli Manning hit Victor Cruz in stride for a 77 yard TD pass that won the game. Cruz seems to be able to get open whenever he wants in late game big play situations. What a stunning finish to the game.

Says you, frankly i think he is a great coach and just cause he gets under your skin does not make him a jerkoff, makes him someone I admire lololol... Jk bro, your harmless, lol.

Hate to say it, but Eli Manning is fast becoming the NFL's BEST Qb in the entire league, the Giants are the team to beat in the NFC.
Yeah,

Ryan is a jerk-off and always has been. Cheers,

Merlot

He threw a couple putrid INTs in the second half but he came up with the winning play when needed. He seems to always do so. It does help to have Victor Cruz at WR. He is the best slot WR in the NFL and is not coverable even with a gimpy Nicks not needing extra attention at this time at the other WR spot.

2-2, although you were close to being 4-0 if a few things shook out differently.

You had the Jets game locked up on points but I thought the Pats benefitted from a pass interference call in OT. I did not see it nor did the one of the refs. However the Jets OL cannot allow a jailbreak rush and a bone-crushing tackle on Sanchez that dislodged the ball. It ended what was, by far, Sanchez's best game of the year, even if Stephen Hill dropped a TD catch on him.

That drop had game over written all over it, the Pats got lucky on this one but they are royally fucked for the rest of the season with Devon Mcourty and the rest of that god aweful pass defence, a defence that made Mark Sanchez look like John Elway today.
