Hey BOYZ!!!

Yeah right Mr. GOOSE EGG.t. That's O-fer this week, 1-7 in the last two weeks. So when you say you're a "genius" it's the same as Iggy calling Burke a genius. BTW-try not to use the word "genius" or like with Burke Iggy will be kissing your butt. Oh wait!!!

Serious question for you Merlot and don't take it the wrong way- Don't you ever get a sore ass from sitting on that fence?, just wondering.

a very impressive performance by the Steelers defense. That is the best defense anyone has played against the Giants this year. Giants really got lucky on one of their TDs which was by the defense. They could not sustain any drives against the Steelers who seem to have a really good secondary.

I was listening to a sports talkshow on Sirius Radio yesterday & they were debating who the top QB's are in the league right now. Ben Roetlisberger got many nods for possibly being among the top 5, along with the Mannings, Matt Ryan & Aaron Rodgers. After giving it some thought, i have to agree. He's been simply amazing throughout his career, and continues to play as good as he's ever played.

The Steelers are basically the same team year after year, even with different players. Same running game, same passing game/wide receiver types, same tough defence, etc. They're really an amazingly consistent team & i wouldn't be surprised to see them go to the Superbowl once again this year.....as long as Big Ben stays healthy, that is.

That took me down to only winning $50 for the weekend but still ahead 50 so all is well.

Believe it or not, i'm actually waiting for Joe to give us his picks for next weekend's games before i hand in my own. So now, my strategy is:

Bet against Romo, don't touch the Bills game, bet on the Steelers & Falcons, and wait for Joe to make his picks. ;)

Time to review my picks for the season, out of 9 weeks I have had 7 winning weeks and 2 losing weeks which is a 78% winning clip, which is absolutely fucking fantastic if you ask me, I'm sure Jimmy the Greek would he proud of me.:thumb:

My picks for this week-

Oakland +9 over Baltimore.
Philadelphia +2.5 over Dallas.
Cinncinatti +5.5 over New York Giants.

My sure shot pick of the week which is dedicated to Doc Holliday is his beloved Buffalo Bills +13.5 over that overrated, sorry excuse of a team from Masschussets with that pathetic secondary and whining, crybaby QB , anybody that thinks that New England will cover against the Bills probably couldn't tell the difference between a football and a golf ball, I would not be surprised one bit to see Buffalo win this game outright, go Bills!!!!!

"Happiness is seeing mASSachusetts in your rear view mirror when crossing into another state" (been there many times, and it is euphoria everytime!)

A $20 wager with those picks will win you $300 on POINT SPREAD.

The Bills played their heart out today, but literally shot themselves in the foot several times which wound up costing them the game.

The officials also made some very questionable calls against the Bills in the first half, but the bottom line is that bad turnovers cost the Bills their first win at Foxboro in years. Good thing for the Patriots that the Bills' defence is as bad as theirs. I was surprised that Gronkoski barel y touched the ball today, while Wes Welker had a couple of drops. I'm always impressed by the Patriots running back Ridley everytime they play Buffalo.

Buffalo lost the game on questionable playcalling which led to a game-ending end zone interception. The Bills two running backs dominated the New England defence all day long, and i kept calling for a dump to Spiller with less than minute left. He has amazing quickness & speed and i was certain he could have found the end zone on a short dump pass at around the 5-yard line or so. Instead, Fitzpatrick threw twice in the end zone, which ended in a game-ending interception.

The bottom line is that it's obvious that the NFL wants pretty boy Brady in the playoffs for it's ratings, week after week there have been terrible "non calls" in favor for the Patriots, disgusting!!!!!.

Joe, you did well my friend with the picks you sent me.... i declined on your Cowboys pick however and did better because if it.... just had a feeling "Da Boys" were gonna breakout and win a huge game on the road and boy was i right! That poor rookie qb on the eagles looked like a deer caught in the headlights all game once he replace the concussed Vick... Philly is hurting now and it could not happen to a worse fan base than eagles fans HAHA!

Notice how I nailed my sure shot pick of the week yesterday?, I got a dandy of a sure shot pick for you this week iggy and it involves that lousy team from Massachussets again, stay tuned for a huge money making opportunity coming your way.

The Patriots backfield defense was awful again. They will reach the playoffs simply because everyone else in the division stinks. But when a team makes bum quarterbacks look so good it looks like a one and out year.

Merlot- You definitely know your football, I'm impressed.:thumb:

Mike Ditka suffers stroke

ESPN NFL analyst Mike Ditka is in the hospital after suffering a minor stroke on Friday.

Ditka was at a suburban country club in Chicago playing cards Friday when he suffered the stroke.

Seth Markman, an ESPN senior coordinating producer, posted on Twitter that Ditka "wanted everyone to know he's OK."

Ditka, 73, will not be on ESPN's NFL shows this weekend in Bristol, Conn., but expects to return soon.

Ditka, who coached the Chicago Bears from 1982-92, hasn't had any health problems since suffering a heart attack on Nov. 2, 1988, after the Bears lost to the New England Patriots. He returned on Nov. 13 that season to oversee a 34-14 win over Washington.

When reached Friday night, Ditka told the Chicago Tribune that he was feeling "good right now and it's not a big deal."

Ditka was the fifth overall pick of the Bears in the 1961 draft out of Pittsburgh. As a tight end, he was named rookie of the year and made five straight Pro Bowls.

Ditka was was traded to the Eagles in 1967, and finished his playing career with the Cowboys.

He was named head coach of the Bears In 1982. Three years later, he led Chicago to a Super Bowl victory over the Patriots. The Bears finished the season with an 18-1 record.

After going 5-11 in 1992, Ditka was fired.

He coached the Saints from 1997-2000, before retiring with a record of 121-95.

Considering the temper he has, i'm surprised it's only the first time he's suffered a stroke.
