If you replaced "douchebag head coach" with Belicheat and "pompous punk" with Tommy Boy Brady then i think WE would agree :thumb:

BTW totally agree, they are a "couple of dickbags" Bwhahahaahahaahahahaahahahaahahahaahah

GO BRONCOS!

Next weeks AFC matchup should be a classic as always. If the Pats don't win I really hope Manning and the Broncos can take care of business against Seattle or SF. If there's one team I pretty much despise now it's the 49ers and their loudmouth douchebag head coach and that pompous punk Kaepernick. What a couple of dickbags they are!

Actually, I think the 4 best teams in the NFL are the 4 teams left and I think that is neat. Regarding the Patriots, when you consider all the things they went through this season- Aaron Hernandez nightmare, Gronkowski injuries, Wilfork injury, Brandon Spikes situation etc. - the fact that they are 13-4 is nothing short of miraculous. After watching their first few games I thought there was no way they would be in the playoffs. There is only one way to explain it: Beleichik can flat out coach and has a knack for picking up players suited to his system.

To me Denver looks a little shaky on defense and the Patriots may be able to score on them. I expect a high scoring game.

San Fran-Seattle looks like a good one too. SF right now looks to me like the team I would bet money on to win the Super Bowl if they were all playing neutral site games. But Seahawks have a huge advantage on home field. Still I would not count SF out as they have all their weapons on offense healthy and their defense is as good as anyone's.

BOYZ,

Absolutely on fire!!!!!, 3 for 3 with a push, God, I just love getting laid for free.

Joe.t GUARANTEES: A Lesson In Brain Farts.

1. The Patriots will never have a winning record

2. The Patriots will never make the playoffs.

3. The Patriots will never win the division.

4. The Patriots will never win a playoff game.

5. The Patriots are my sure shot pick to lose every game I say they will.

Damn Joe, you stink like hell.

...the Patriots...will get absolutely DESTROYED next week in Denver(no swirling wind to help the Patriots this time),...

More of the same? Unless he gets lucky. The question is will the two-faced fence sitter say one thing then bet on the Patriots anyway? One day you may need people to believe your word has any value.

According to former Patriots players like Christian Fourier, who were interviewed on WEEI, most teams focus more heavily on stars and starters before each game. The Patriots are far more unique on making sure they challenge the play knowledge as well as the skills of newer and secondary players so that they can step in more ably if needed. It's also not a matter of IF needed, it's a matter of when because they expect all players to be ready to go each game. Belichick personally puts these players through verbal knowledge readiness challenges to test them. He expects everyone to be a Pro from the time they join the team. That's why OchoStinko rarely got a shot because he was not ready. Belichick and his staff are also highly skilled in making the right adjustments to counter what the other team is doing.

I also see the game as high scoring, depending on who makes the best in-game adjustments.

Cheers,

Merlot

Alright boys, the AFC/NFC championship odds are out and the expert(yours truly, 3 for 3 last week) will make his deadly, accurate predictions.

San Francisco +3.5 over Seattle(I'm expecting this game to come down to the wire, it will be the more interesting game of the two to watch).

My sure shot pick of the playoffs is the Denver Broncos -6.5 to absolutely squash and demolish the overrated Patriots, anybody who saw the previous meeting knows that MVP Manning was handicapped by a swirling wind which hamapered his passing game(Denver built up a 24-0 lead before the weather took over the game), anybody who thinks that the Patriots has even a remote chance of winning most likely couldn't tell the difference between a football and a golf ball, Denver wins this one easy.

anon- For the love of God do yourself a favor and take the Broncos(you are always complaining about losing and paying your gambling debts), you will regroup some of your obviously huge, huge losses that you had this year, so do yourself a favor and listen to my advise just this one time, you will thank me for it, I even have a sneaking suspicion that rumpleforskin, LennyBruce or whatever the hell he calls himself today will be taking the Broncos after reading my post, I just wish that he would stop changing his handle and just stick to one name.:D

Yea Joe...that's a wonderful fantasy line you've found there, too bad it's bogus. The REAL line as of now is -4.5. Either way it shouldn't matter to you if it's -10.5 since you're so confident that Denver will whoop the Pats. Lol.

What's "hamapered" there mr. twitsky.

This could be the dumbest thing you've ever said, and your record was already unbeatable.

http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=331124017

First I live near the area. The weather was bad the whole time. But what you are suggesting is idiotic. Brady was 34-50, 68%, with a 107.4 RTG; Manning was 19-36, 53%, with a 70.4 RTG. So you are suggesting Nature or God hates Manning and made the wind blow only when he had the ball. BTW: the game is at Denver not the dome in Indianapolis swifty. It's winter. It gets windy and cold there too.

...you are always complaining about losing and paying your gambling debts...

With your non-payment record this is the last thing you should say.

Really Joe, this is why you word cannot be believed. You'll say any nonsense and your scruples are crap.

The line is back to 6 and I'll take the Pats and the points and SF +3 1/2. 4 FOR 4 LAST WEEK.( NEW ORLEANS AND THE UNDER, S.F. AND S.D.) The books got toasted last week as the 2 biggest public plays came through- S.D. and S.F.) Wanted to bet the Pats but at 7 1/2 the extra half point scared me away and I was happy with my profits. Totals will have to wait until game time and receipt of inside info as to whether the Pats will still emphasize the running game or focus on the porous Denver secondary. The Hawks/Niners game should be brutal with LOTS of trash talking on both sides.

I beg to differ, my payment record is excellent, just ask rumpleforskin when he get's back from his 18th ban, a MERB banning record that will never be broken this side of Tony, you also might want to ask him about the word "welching", also didn't MOD 8 warn people to stop talking about personal betting or they would be banned?, surely your constant mentioning of this is a bannable offence.

I am strongly advising against this move, it will be a grave mistake on your part, the Patriots have no chance, the team is overrated and according to the latest reports Brady is not 100% healthy, they are going to be crushed like a bug on the ground, but I do love your SF pick.:thumb:

We'll agree to disagree and we'll see what happens Sunday. I do expect a Denver win but I also expect the Pats to get the backdoor cover. "Overrated"? They were left for dead with all their injuries. They lost their top 3 receivers, several key defenders and somehow managed to get this far and they are overrated? Belichick and company did a masterful job this year even if it ends on Sunday and at this time of year no player is 100% healthy. Enjoy the games.

That's his big mistake in sports wagering, letting his emotions dictate his plays. I was like that in my 20's but I smartened up. He may win with Denver but for the wrong reasons. That's why I rarely bet Habs games, I'm too big a fan to remain objective. I think they come out fired up tonight against Ottawa but I won't be betting on them. I'll concentrate on my real specialties, NBA and NCAA basketball.

You are correct for once, the line has dropped to 4.5 because a lot of silly people(who have not studied the two teams carefully enough) are betting a lot of money on the Patriots, so the line has come down, no matter what the line is the Broncos will annihilate the Patriots and all those people who put money on the Patriots will lose, the breakdown of the two teams clearly indicates that the Broncos are the better team, the charts don't lie.

Boyz,

That's his big mistake in sports wagering, letting his emotions dictate his plays.

We sure luv Joe.t for the incalculable entertainment value he provides with his silly picks, but it's too bad it's also a pitiable situation. Poor Joe never got that Tuck Rule thing in the 2002 playoffs removed from his backside so his hate of the Patriots festers. If his Raiders hadn't gotten destroyed in the 2003 Super Bowl XXXVII he might have been over it, though I doubt it. But since the Raiders have been a nothing team year after year all he's got is hating and crying over the Patriots like Old Whining Faithful. I've tried to talk him off the ledge of eternal bitterness, but he's grown so darn comfortable there.

Seriously, you're right, but the boy rejects sense even at the price of losing escort money.

:noidea: Poor Joe,

Merlot

Surprisingly decent defensive performance by the Broncos today. If you noticed they were getting pressure up the middle on Brady. I don't know if this due to good play by the interior DL of Denver or poor play by the Patriots OL, but what happens with the pressure up the middle is it is very difficult to elude. In fact this was the problem the NY Giants had this year. The middle of their OL was terrible, and all year long Eli Manning faced pressure from up the middle. While Eli is very adept at sidestepping pressure from outside, when the pressure comes up the middle he is effectively crippled as a QB. Brady faced a lot of the same type of pressure and made a few plays where he got rid of the ball quickly, but you can't expect him to perform miracles against that type of pressure.

Well I went 0 for 2 on the team picks but 2-0 on the totals so the day was okay from a betting standpoint. The Denver total climbed to 57 on Sunday(opened at 55) so I jumped on the under. Although only 42 points were scored the total was in a little jeopardy as I'll explain later. The Seattle total also jumped up on Sunday to 40 1/2 (opened at 38). Once again I jumped on the under but I'll admit I was lucky on this one as the game ended on 40. In the 4th quarter when Seattle did not lose that fumble to crushed knee Bowman as it wasn't reviewable, I was sure they were going in for 7. I couldn't believe they fumbled on the next play, then Kabnernick gives it right back with an INT. Fortunately, the D held them to 3 making it 23-17 setting up a thrilling finale. I though S.F. had them but Kabernick blew it with an ill advised throw and plenty of time left to get the winning TD.

As for Denver, they clearly outplayed the Pats but I put this one on Brady. The Pats defense did its part but the Golden Boy missed 3 open receivers deep in the first half that clearly would have made a difference. Full value to the Broncos for the win but I wasn't that impressed by them ( except for the 8 minute drive to open the second half) and they'll be playing a REAL defense in the Super Bowl.

I know it's early but the line is Denver -2, total 48. I'll definitely be on Seattle and hope that it climbs to 3 and probably the under as well, which is 8-2 in the playoffs . Only the second time in 20 years the two #1 seeds have met in the Super Bowl. They've bucked the trends but they both very much deserve to be playing in the Big Game.

Brady's throws were rushed due to pressure up the middle. It's easy to miss open receivers when you feel that pressure coming up the middle and have to get rid of the ball. Maybe the O line should have done a better job.

The only reason the NY Giants defeated the Patriots twice in the Super Bowl was due to getting sufficient pressure on Brady to throw him off his game. If Brady has protection he is deadly as anyone. I think Denver has an excellent O line and they also have 4 excellent receiving targets not all of whom can be covered by Seattle.

I think Denver gets 24 points max but I am concerned about Seattle's offence a bit as Wilson hasn't played that well the past 5-6 games. He's essentially been managing the game with little or no turnovers and we've all seen great defenses win a Super Bowl with a " managing" quarterback (Brad Johnson, Dilfer, etc) The "beast" will run wild eventually and the Seattle D gets at least 2 turnovers in a close hard fought victory. Can't wait to see the weather in N.Y.C., hope it works out but I'll be on a beach that Sunday able to watch the game with U.S. commercials included. It sucks watching the game from Canadian suppliers as the commercials are sometimes the best part of the day. Let's at least hope we have an entertaining close game that goes down to the wire.

The Pats defense did it's part? Really? They gave up the most yardage they've ever given up in any game (507) since Belichick has been the coach!!! They were putrid. Denver scored points on every possession except the first 3 and out. Brady did not have a good game but to put the full blame on him is ridiculous. The defense SUCKED!
