This is deceptively stated. I listened to the interview twice and read the links. Incognito made a claim to Glazer. There's no confirmation from Glazer there was a murder threat, only confirmation he received the texts and Incognitos word. Funny how the best excuse he could come up with was...he (Martin) said it first.
What I find strange about Incognito is he talks very calmly and politely about comments of racism, killing and raping to someone he claims is his best friend like every else is supposed to say, oh yeah, it's the NFL, it's okay to talk like a vile animal there and call that friendship. You know, in reality there are many guys in the NFL who if told that kind of thing would have put Richie's face through a door without a word said.

For those who can comprehend English. The statement says only that Glazer has seen the texts. Yesterday I made the same basic post but withdrew it to look for specific details of the text where allegedly Martin made the same specific insults to Incognito. Unlike ESPN which printed the specific content of the texts sent from Incognito showing the gross insults to Martin, the only thing available says Glazer has seen texts incognito claims Martin sent. No details have been provided yet. Anyone who says up to now that Martin said what Incognito claimed is being DECEPTIVE since the texts have not been described or printed.

I used to travel to Las Vegas twice a year on business and would take my sales manager with me. She loved the slots and had awful luck. She'd lose $500. Then she'd win back $100 of it and be thrilled that she won $100.

This is a sports thread and it should be understood (as Mod 8 did in the past) that trash-talking/locker toom talk is more prevalent in such threads as it is in real life. I'm ashamed of some of the thngs i've told opposing players when i played hockey, and the same when i played baseball and basketball. Trash-talking and sports go hand-in-hand.
Therefore, i think the moderator (as was the custom in the past) should be more lenient when it comes to imposing discipline in sports threads and understand that a lot of the trash-talking comes with the territory within the wide world of sports. It's part of the game.
It is my belief that suspending Eagerbeaver for simply asking Merlot (during an exchange between the two) if he's a moron is way out of bounds considering the circumstances i've already mentionned. I don't even think he warranted a suspension. This is a sports thread, after all. It is my opinion that the sports theads might as well totally be banned if a prominent member such as Eagerbeaver is suspended simply for asking a member (with a long history of being a troublemaker) if he's a moron. This is ridicujous and makes all of us wonder if the offended member in question isn't in cahoots with the moderator(s).

What you do not seem to realize or understand is that MERB rules in regards to RESPECTING OTHER MEMBERS apply to ALL sections of the board. You also fail to realize that this is NOT a FREE FOR ALL thread where such rules are slackened.

I'll state my opinion as well. I don't know the Beav's rationale, but I think he was asking to be banned. He's done and said a lot of obnoxious and arrogant things over the years, but he's never gone off the rails like he did earning both this and the last ban.
How do you define prominent? If it's defined by writing reviews, then the Beav is hardly prominent. On top of that, the rules, as the mods will attest, apply to all equally.

He doesn't believe the Dolphins can protect him or win games without Incognito. There's a popular belief you can't consistently win football games without a few "thugs" like Incognito in your locker room. The Dolphins tagged him the "Big Weirdo." The Dolphins held up Richie Incognito as the ultimate role model for offensive linemen. Incognito was a Pro Bowler. He was a member of the six-man leadership council. It makes perfect sense for a kid like Martin to befriend Incognito and try to fit in. I'm sure they were best friends, for a time. I'm sure Incognito offered Martin physical protection on the football field. It's standard operating procedure for a prison-yard bully to cultivate a relationship that is equal parts fear, love and disrespect. It's how you turn a guy out and make him grab your belt loop.
Martin was confused. He probably thought the bullying and hazing would pass after his rookie season. He wanted to fit in and make it in the NFL. The paycheck is incredible. He tried to laugh off the abuse and disrespect. He participated in it. He coughed up $15,000 for a trip to Las Vegas he didn't want to take.
Finally he snapped. He wasn't raised to be a full-blown idiot. He was raised to think and solve problems with his mind. He was savvy enough to figure out a physical confrontation with Incognito was a no-win situation. It wouldn't curb Incognito's behavior or change the culture inside the Miami locker room. It would confirm it. In order to win the fight, Martin would have to physically harm Incognito. It would not be a one-punch or two-punch fight.
Martin walked. If the entry fee to being an NFL offensive lineman is adopting the mindset of Incognito and Pouncey, Martin wisely chose not to pay it. He has a developed brain and a supportive family unit. He's not desperate. He has options. People with limited options and no family support may not understand or respect his decision. That's on them and illustrates the vast impact of Mass Incarceration and Hurricane Illegitimacy.

Even if no sides are taken as to who is to blame there's a basic fact Incognito and management point to. Incognito was charged with helping make Martin a better player for the benefit of the team. The results show his methods failed utterly, and the Dolphins team is suffering for it.

No mistake, this money is earmarked for a beautiful SP to wrap her beautiful lips around my big cock(at least that's what they keep telling me, not that it matters but still, I'm flattered LOL) this weekend, the devastated people of Philippines are beyond repair no matter how much I would give, I prefer to give by donating to medical care and research for children which I have done in the past, a much more worthwhile and satisfying cause.

It’s gotten past the “considering stage”. Being a loyal Dolphins Fan since 2 years before I sat on the 30 yard line and watched the entire 17-0 Season, they’ve not given fans much to cheer about. Few people understand that it's all about management. Simply the owner, nor the general manager, are not up to it. So until we have a new owner and manager I'm shopping for a new team to cheer on. My current canidates are the Patriots and the Bears. I'm leaning towards the Bears (really enjoyed their game last weekend). This is my first change in 42 years so I'm taking suggestions.......

Duh, it keeps coming back to management. Joe Robbie & Danny Thomas first founded the Dolphins in like 1965. Joe bought Danny out and he was a great Owner.

You have a great point about the “entry fee”. I played football in high school as a defensive end/Linebacker. I was the “Matheson” in my school’s “53 Defense”. The few times that I was really good was when I became enraged. As a Junior it became clear that either I toughened up and developed a killer attitude, or I should just quit. Obviously I did the later.
P.S. This was back in the days when you could still play both ways...LOL. So I played Offensive Guard and Kickoff Squad. You got it, I was on the field a great deal of the game. That Florida Summertime Conditioning really helped..LOL
No offense, but let's just say that if you'd totally disappear from the boards, almost no one would notice. I'm simply stating fact & i'd add that there's nothing wrong with not being a prominent member no one cares for. As for EB, he's been one of the most prominent members on the boards for over a decade and also one of the most interesting. He's a little sex machine who has great taste in women. He usually speaks the truth & speaks his mind. He's not a bullshitter, and tells it like it is. He can be controversial, but he's never boring. This board needs more people like the beave in order to be an interesting board.
So basically, that's why Eagerbeaver is prominent. His absence would be missed, while a non-prominent person's absence would be barely noticeable.
Totally Agree with everything you've said. EB's posts are usually well worth reading and usually well considered.
