There are over 30 games left to play in the season. Anything's possible, of course. But that's not what you said. You said it was likely that the Bruins would get either the first or second pick overrall. But you have to remember that in the final 15 games or so, the Leafs will likely continue to improve, while other teams in the league's basement will likely want to tank the season. The Leafs will likely be picking up a few expensive players during the next couple of months (in order to help other teams free up some cap space in order for them to make a run in the playoffs) and the only players i see leaving the Leafs are the upcoming unrestricted free agents, Ponikarovski & Stajan. Maybe Stempniak also.

Continue to improve? When did they start? The way they're going, they're going to improve right into last place overall. I wonder if Burke will announce the Bruins first overall draft pick at next year's draft?

Komisarek is an ordinary defenceman & he's another free agent at the end of the season. I'm sure some team will overpay him.

As for Toronto, you forgot to mention Kubina, who in my books is as good as Kaberle. Anton Stralman is a top prospect & Jeff Finger is a solid #3 or 4 defenceman. In my books he's better than Komisarek.

That bum Kostitsyn & the lousy Komisarek are supposed to be benched for tomorrow's game against the Toronto Marlies.

Mike Komisarek??? Not only shouldn't he be on the starting lineup, but he shouldn't even be on the all-star team, PERIOD!!!


Komisarek will likely be gone to free agency....very overrated

Komi's rumoured to be heading to Boston. I hope it's true, since i don't want him with the Leafs.

but no matter where the Leafs finish this season, im happy with Burke as GM, he has done alot more good than anything bad and it takes time to overcome JFJ and Cliff Fletchers boneheaded decisions.... time will tell all.......

Yes, he's a rookie - but he's not exactly having a rookie season like Sawchuk, Brodeur, Tony Esposito - or EVEN Andrew (ha ha) Raycroft.

"Very good"? Well perhaps - that is, if your definition of "very good" is 35th out of 46 in both goals against and save percentage (???!!!). I'll give him a pass on the other stat of 37th in wins, since he plays for the Leafs, so it's a guarantee that any goalie's win record will be poor.

And you're sure as hell right about his "durability" being a question mark! No one can argue with you on that!

Don't you ever get tired of repeating the same old nonsense? I've said time and time again for years that I am a Wings fan and I am not a habs fan. If I DID root for the habs, I would not be at all ashamed to say it. There is no shame in being a fan of the habs or of any one of 28 other teams. There is ONLY shame about being a leafs fan. Haven't you noticed that you and your good friend Doc are the ONLY two leaf fans?
As for the Wings, there's not much to say other than that they have the best ownership by FAR in the NHL, the best GM, one of the best coaches, and several GREAT players including Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Lidstrom. They are, as I have posted several times, in a rebuilding mode and will not be serious Cup contenders for a few years (2? 3? maybe 4?), but they are rebuilding the RIGHT way, not like a certain team in Canada's largest city. Also, Detroit has a great and respected past - Howe, Lindsay, Abel, Sawchuk, Delvecchio, Yzerman, and countless others. And in case you didn't notice: 4 Cups in the last dozen years. Aw, but shit - last year they "only" made it to the final before losing to the Pens. Could Toronto (last APPEARANCE in a final in 67 - but hey, I guess you have to MAKE the playoffs before you can get to the final!) can only dream of this type of success. There - are you happy now that I wrote a little bit about the Wings?

the point is that the Monster just isn't very good.

The Monster has been very good & would possibly be up for rookie-of-the-year if he had been able to play more. Mtl would trade Price for him anytime (and maybe even Halak) and the same goes with your other team, the Red Wings, who can't shut up Osgoode right now.
