In no way was I picking on Tom. and I think he can speak for himself. I was asking a fair question, and since he only comes to talk sports when his teams win, it was warranted. Tom, I agree everyones schedule is different and why it may be harder to find time for some to post than others, I figured since you had the time to post about the Bruins winning today, why not also post in baseball about the red sox :noidea: Anyways your free to post anyway you so choose and I was not trying to pick a fight, just like to hear more from you to enhance the sports threads is all, and I have a sense you have good knowledge about sports, just a hunch I feel.

Good for the Flyers, I still dont know which team will show up each night but they got the job done. The Preds were BEASTS in sending the red wings home in 5 games. Blues look very very scary. Rangers are about to blow it to the overachieving Sens and the Kings put the Canucks out of their misery tonight. Caps blew it, no way do they win G7 in boston.
Oh ! c'mon Iggy... why pick on Tom ?
Anyway... now we have Preds, Blues and Flyers moving on...
Who knows ? might have Kings also tonight !
At least we got a game 7th between the Bruins and Caps + we had an orgy of goals (56) with the Pens and Flyers series !

Don't be so much on your guards Iggy !

I was joking as always !

Anyway you got Preds and Kings right !

We could see both Chicago and New-York out of the playoffs tomorrow.
But the best game to watch is Wednesday for sure !

It's getting one of the stangest playoffs so far... and it's fun !

Well Sens are 1-0 going into 2nd period.

Looks like we might see Rangers out also since Ottawa is playing hard.

Anyway the fucktard Cherry is coming up so I'll switch chanel until 2nd period begins !

Fiou ! we got a 7th between Sens and Rangers.

But frankly I'd like to see Rangers to move ahead for the sake of having Ottawa's fan STFU for their classless attitude in booing Rangers when they get the puck.

Not only that, it's clear that Neil shoved the puck with his skate.
His outer left skate kept the puck on the ice while shoving it and no matter what they say, his feet motion was clearly to shove it inside.

So I agree with Rangers when saying that it was decided by (referee) to keep Sens in the game.

Other than that, I can't complain for a 7th game since I like to see more hockey games.

Well Panthers vs. Devils game was very civilised !

Only 5 penalties but enough for Devils to get 1 power play goal and then win in OT.

While 3 series out west finished in 5 games...
This is the 3rd series in Eastern conf. to go for a 7th game.

I like it !

I predict bruins will be eliminated 2night. I'm never wrong.

You should bet if you are so sure then cuze Boston is 8-4 in a game 7 for the last 25 years while Washington is 2-7.

So Caps are +160.

You could make a bundle !

Myself I'd like to see Bruins move on.
Lately I started to like Washington's play but.. I prefer see Boston moving on.

Hopefully I'll see Boston against Flyers in the Eastern final.
That would be awesome.

Well is Caps 1-0 against Bruins at the end of the first period and I must say I am shocked

Not because of the score but to hear Boston fans booing everytime Caps have the puck.

Classless fans :D

Anyway the Fucktard Cherry is coming up so I'm switching chanel !

Damn,

I can't believe it. Seidenberg didn't get a goal for stuffing Hendricks in the net. What a #@&%*# rip-off.

The perfect opportunity was missed on a questionable penalty leading to a power play with 2:26 left. This is where the Bruins missed the likes of Horton and Corvo.

Well go BLUES! :D

Wait for it. Here comes mr. 26th place

Cheers,

Merlot

Mmm... Sorry Merlot there was no rip-off from either side. Bruins goal was also a fluke since Bruins often get goals by shoving the other team's goalie and tonight it was more than obvious.

So although I would have like them to move on...

Speakin' of thugs, Boston fans really showed a classless act tonight with all this booing all night long.
At one time it was like.... Shut the f*ck up and let them play.

But hey ! this year clearly is the weirdest from a regular season that went haywire up to playoffs where the undedogs are winning !

Congrats to Lovemaker.
Hope you did some good betting.
You could have won a bundle !

I didn't bet lol, not much of a gambler when it comes to sports. Poker, now that's another story:nod:

Stanley Cup champs eliminated in the first round by a group of underdogs. In playoff hockey, it doesn't get any more humiliating than this.

And had the bruins had Kessel, a top scorer in the entire NHL this season, instead of "Tyler" they would of been onto the second round a game or 2 ago and likely would be gunning for there 3rd cup in a row, oh well, The Leafs thank you!

I prefer Rangers and Panthers but so far these playoffs are underdogs' game !
So lets see who's gonna eat some 'Tender slices Kibbles n' bits' tonight !

Nope, I refer to the same Allstar Phil Kessel who at 24 is a ppg player in the NHL and was 6th in scoring in the entire league w/o a bonafide #1 centre, that Phil Kessel and I dont need google to know that. The bRuins scored ONE GOAL in 4 different games in the Caps series and could of used a high scoring explosive winger like Kessel. Seguin is gonna be a very good player, but he also has a better "team" around him, and once Phil finally has the same, well, lets just say it could be very scary, for other teams. Caps snuck into the playoffs and it would not surprise me if they make a long run at the cup, possibly winning it.

I still would like to see the Blues win it with Halak in goal to further show what a huge mistake the Habs made by trading him for a guy named Lars and also would Love a market like Nashville to win it all as well, the more shots of Carrie Underwood jumping up and down is always a good thing in my book. :thumb:

Iggy, Iggy Iggy ! the mistake was not the fact that they got Lars. Even Crosby or Malkin or whatever.

The mistake was to trade your best guy who battled the playoffs and offset so many predictions with an explosive play...basically trading your best player.

This is where there is a difference between you and me.
You boast on your knowledge of Hockey by knowing all the stats of the players.
My knowledge of hockey is the passion of playing hockey !

This is why I'm loyal to a certain degree to any team when they lose what's most important in hockey which is the passion to play !
They should have kept Halak because he made Montreal, Habs fans and Habs players proud to play !
While Gauthier made us feel like we got screwed.

It's the same mentality of all these statisticals geeks that got them to try and trade him for 'so call better chance for the next playoffs'.
Same mentality that Leafs are going thru right now...

SO I wish Blues to win the cup but no matter what now... Halak, already proved he could play with another Goalie as good in Elliot and share the credit with the entire team to go that far.

Anyone who is a true Habs fan who watched this team getting back to back Stanley cups understand what true hockey is all about.
And it is not a business thing !

Now in the west we'll get 2 series that should be very exciting since it should all be a battle between goalies.
And I'm gonna enjoy watching Quick, Smith and Rinne also.

So give us a break with your Kessel stuff... we'll all know the song !

Absolutely disgraceful!!! Such people come from a very low form of the "human species" in every city. No excuse is possible. However, they don't represent Bruins fans any more than those who burn cars and stores, or the racists French and English who've been on this board attacking on each other represents Canadiens fans.

And had the Bruins had kessel, a top scorer in the entire NHL this season, instead of "Tyler" they would of been onto the second round a game or 2 ago and likely would be gunning for there 3rd cup in a row, oh well, The Leafs thank you!

The same "top scorer" Kessel whose talents led his team to 13th in the conference and 26th in the league. :thumb:

That would be a #1 getting eliminated by a #8. Say hey Vancouver. Do you even have a team? Or are you following the rules by avoiding talking about teams that didn't make the playoffs!!!

There's disappointment, but no humiliation. That belongs to a #1 going out in 5 games to a #8.

Damn,

I can't believe it. Seidenberg didn't get a goal for stuffing Hendricks in the net. What a #@&%*# rip-off.

Mmm... Sorry Merlot there was no rip-off from either side. Bruins goal was also a fluke...

So although I would have like them to move on...

So you mean no team can score by hitting the opponents player into their own net. :D C'mon Gentle, I thought you would catch that. ;)

Lucky maybe, but hitting an unprotected puck into the net counts whether it's pretty or not; and since when is it illegal to fight for position to score.

The Bruins both didn't play up to their potential and the Capitals stepped up their game. I found the Bruins flat a significant amount of time during their games. They failed too often to attack aggressively on the opponents side, last night they didn't set up and make crisp passes even on the power play with the series on the line, and their physicality that made them fearsome much of the season was largely lacking. The Caps simply outdid them in determination and sharpness.

So we lose the Cup after one year. It's not comforting, but that puts the Bruins on the same level with 7 of the last 10 defending champions who lost in the first round the next year, according to WEEI.

Sooner or later we'll get to see how the teams of others here do....DEFENDING A CHAMPIONSHIP. Much, much later in some cases.

Cheers,

Merlot
