For many people the Old Dublin Pub on University is a historic watering hole in Montreal. Well, tonight/tomorrow morning at 3AM it closes it's doors forever to make way for yet another highrise hotel in the heart of downtown.
While the name will continue in the way of a new establishment opening soon, it will never really be the same Old Dublin. For anyone who ever spent a St. Paddy's day in Montreal's best Irish pub, it will never be forgotten! Then again, most people who spent a St. Paddy's day at the Old Dublin probably didn't remember it the next day anyways.
So here's to the Old Dublin! Thanks for the memories.
