Up north
Gee I wouldn`t be so happy if I had your attitude.
Many girls are waiting to come back when restrictions are eased. Some are already back and seeing regulars.
The escort world is not doomed and the sky is not falling.
Of course they are!
Getting paid cash without declaring plus an extra 2k$ per month from government. That is a great deal!

I don’t know what percentage of Montreal customers are from the northeastern US, but my guess is that it is considerable, with many from the NYC/NNJ area. In this area (NYC/NNJ) prices have either remained flat or dropped, and many agencies are seemingly quite negotiable on prices within reason. One popular agency owner told a couple of her girls (one whom I text with) the trend is downward for sure and the owner anticipate an influx of supply (strippers to escorts).

That said, why would any NYC area guy make the trip north if rates increase substantially and service is non-GFE, let alone with a mask? You’d have to have a screw loose to cross the border to hobby if that’s the case. . Montreal agencies are doomed if rates increase substantially and service becomes silly (mask, limited rosters, non-GFE). Sorry, I don’t see much changing in Montreal.

Further, any entrepreneurial mind would launch a new agency and get things back to normal in a heartbeat. I think some of us are overthinking this. I’m not anticipating any real changes up there. Just my 2 cents fwiw.

I completely agree with you and hence why I said if it requires a mask might as well stay closed. The only thing is will girls be willing to serve with the covid-19 scare? I see some are but I am sure the supply will go down considerably. Even the agencies that continued to operate I saw their rosters very limited.

Patron,

About your post on the German sex industry that is so ridiculous. They took away the whole point of sex. With those types of conditions might as well remain closed. I see no point. If it requires a mask then better to stay closed.
Cloud500,

You have to distinguish between regulated/legal sex for pay and unregulated illegal sex for pay. The restrictions Patron posted can be expected anywhere the sex trade is legal and regulated. A government that is seeing fit to regulate the sex trade necessarily must be consistent with all other guidelines and restrictions. Being a hobbyist or SP doesn't exempt you from compliance with governmental regulations on behavior that is outside the bedroom, and you can expect the regulations on behavior to be the same in the bedroom.

Why Patron is posting this stuff in a thread that is ostensibly discussing restrictions in an unregulated realm (Montreal) is a question he would have to answer. Perhaps, some unregulated cities will take their cues from Germany, but it's unlikely.

I posted that because it is of interest to some, and to show that the government is not the friend of sex work.

There are always those diehard legalization folks who don’t get that concept.

I doubt that services will change one bit in Montreal or in New York or in New Jersey, just like they don’t seem to have changed in Lisbon.

And they won’t change among German agency/independent outcall (or quasi-legal incall) escorts either. Just at places regulated by the government with an address published online and findable on Google Maps.

You want the escort herself deciding if she wants to offer oral sex, not Mr. Trudeau, Ms. Merkel, or god forbid Mr. Cuomo deciding that.

Precisely Patron. I think the bigger question is “when do agencies open (the specific date James and Sam start taking calls)?” not so much what the hobby scene looks like after they do. From my perspective, the scene looks very much like it did prior to COVID pretty much everywhere except where sex work is regulated.

And the bigger question still is, “What do strip clubs look like in areas of NJ and elsewhere that offer full contact lap dancing?” That’s a regulated industry that I am certain will take a hit and perhaps become more regulated. I guess what I’m saying is, until there is a vaccine, that industry is fucked, much like the businesses cited in the article you circulated.

I don't think it's going to be business as usual even with the SPs who choose to work. I think it's going to be a restriction buzzsaw in many cases and I am looking forward to reading the shocked reviews when that happens. I personally am abstaining as are some others I have spoken to, but that is my choice only. I think if an SP chooses to work with German type restrictions that will be her choice, and her choice will have to be respected.

I would advise anyone choosing to participate to be very clear in communicating their expectations before booking any appointments. I think agencies should also post Covid 19 disclaimers on their website to insulate themselves from the inevitable accusation that they caused someone to get infected.

EB, I’ve always respected your opinions, but I must say that if the Montreal scene turns out as you project then kiss Montreal goodbye as a hobby destination for many. GFE is still the norm in NNJ and NYC so I’ll be damned if I make the trip north. Why?

I’ve been on the sidelines as well through this pandemic. Yes, girls choices must be respected, but I can respect a choice and vow never to return, and I’m betting most others would make that same vow as well. But I don’t think anything will change.

I didn't say nobody would be GFE. What I am suggesting is some will be and some will not be, and some will try to work with a more restrictive acumen. The notion that they will do anything because they need money, which is permeating some posts here, doesn't hold water in many cases.

I would add that if an agency allows some girls on a roster to be non-GFE, then the trend or pull will be towards non-GFE assuming rates are the same for both types of services. And if restrictions re suddenly introduced, then that’s a concern. I’m not comforted by what you are saying may happen.

It was already the case before the pandemic. Some very popular girl were not GFE. We kind of just pretend they were ;)

Nothing will change except some important logistic details.
No more multi-partner parties, bachelor, etc..
Keep the same girl in the same condo for whole shift (it was not the case). Deep cleaning of condo between change of shift.

Regarding price I have no clue. We will probably face a whole summer without americans so the biz will be way down (like everything else).

I don't agree that nothing will change. I will say it again because it bears repeating: go and read the profiles on SA that say no meetups, online only. I read a ton of SA profiles daily and understand the pulse. Those new profiles stating meeting restrictions have increased dramatically. You guys are all potential walking carriers to any SP who doesn't know you. I don't think you guys are fully smelling the coffee yet. Those who were previously GFE, who choose to work, some will not kiss, some will not do BBBJ, some may only do German type activities. I am suggesting to you guys that you communicate really well with the agency and lady on expectations and don't be putting up shocked reviews if you don't, as it's buyer beware now more than ever. You have been warned.

I can't talk for my coworkers, but I will say this:

- Personally, I would rather not work if it means no kissing and no BBBJ. That's just how I like my dates.
- With that in mind, the only thing I have control on is how many clients I see & the rates I am willing to charge for the increased risk. I have decided to impose a 90min minimum for new clients, as I wouldn't want to risk my health for an hour booking only. I also will increase screening (references mandatory to ensure I can somewhat trust the client). I much prefer seeing someone I've already met (and will be waiving the minimum for them) as it is most likely that he will give a shit about my health lol. I will also limit the number of appointments I take.
- I will be waiving cancellation fees and the shower time will be on me. Hopefully this will ensure that 1) the person will be honest about his health and 2) the person will take a longer shower and thoroughly clean himself (as opposed to being in a rush to not lose time with me).

No appointment will ever be risk-free anymore, so it's just a matter of deciding what you are willing to pay/ask for.

One other thing, what and when is the "Post Covid Escort World" this thread is referring to? You guys think post Covid is June 1? Post Covid is maybe a year or more away. There is no vaccine anywhere in sight. There is no "Post Covid Escort World" until a vaccine is developed.

Wake up!

EagerBeaver, I think we are indeed all aware that COVID isn't going anywhere anytime soon and that nothing will be solved until there is a vaccine. Do you expect this business to stop for 2-3 years until there is a vaccine? That just won't happen. The requests have never stopped flooding in for most providers, we've just been refusing clients this whole time.

No agency owner can force a girl on his roster to be GFE against her will. Nor is any agency owner obligated to put any escort on his or her roster or schedule. My guess is the major agencies remain with GFE service one way or another.

EagerBeaver,

Things did go back to normal after the 1918 Spanish flu that killed 50 million ppl worldwide. The flu disappeared after a year and I think it is possible the same might happen with covid-19. There was the 1957 Asian flu and the 1968 Hong Kong flu. All were contagious as Covid-19 and had similar mortality rates. The Hong Kong flu strain is still among us. The only difference is the media. With technology they are in a very good position to keep pumping the worst case scenarios and getting ppl scared to the max.. They will never allow anything to go back to normal, they make their money out of creating hype. Having said that, about SA they had to put in those rules to not be busted by LE and the girls rather get paid to do less work. I mean getting paid and to never have to meet your SD is a dream come true for any SB. But as Rosedelacourt said life must go on. There will always be a risk and the choice will be a personal one.
