And if I ever did do it, I'm pretty sure it wasn't after being on the board for just one month, after dumping on the mods and making ranting and raving posts like drinkher has done in his oh so short time here.

That's has been my point since the beginning. If all members would use a more private way to answer/ make undesired comments. Wouldn't the attacking progressivly leave the board. Why post it and bait other members into answering.

Because people have to know what's going on on the boards, it's a public review board! In my honest opinion, we need to know which owners are authentic and using a legit review system. That's why I prefer to deal with independants...

Like here for example, we have silver00, who has no reviews of SPs, MPs, SCs, or even the street scene and whose posts seem to be a collection of attacking other posters and Nadya in particular or random comments on just about anything, calling out other posters for being shills. Right now he's jumping all over Woody, who has reviews of a number of girls from Indys to various agency girls. At least this guy has reviews. If you don't have confidence in them, then ignore them and look for someone else's review.

And we have drinkher who has a circle of friends who seem to be mostly junkies. He spends his time either attacking the mods or merb or other posters. That is when his posts are actually readable. Who knows what the rest of them are about?

They seem to feed on each other, and they enjoy it. They really enjoy it!!

I don't know. I think we're the ones that feed them. I know that I have a real hard time not playing with them. It's fun sometimes but some trolls can be really nasty when cornered and you never know what they will do.

Then a fight starts, the mods have to interrupt their beauty sleep and then all hell breaks loose. So I'll try to break my bad habit and stop feeding the trolls.

Actually, kronos, I think you are exactly the kind of poster we need here. We need more posters who are willing to stand up for MERB and not give in to the losers who always dump on new reviewers and posters in general.

I've been kind of laughing at the situation here with silver00 and drinkher. I have to laugh because if I don't I'll scream. We've lost many great members because of guys like that and because no one wants to take them on. I try to but then I get posted against because I have never reviewed a SP. Then I end up going on the defensive, which means the offensive, and in some cases just make things worse.

I've been around here a long time. I posted a lot in the SC threads for a long time but I don't head out that much these days. I've really cut down since the smoking ban and only hit the clubs a couple of times a year now. So I try to contribute in other ways and in other threads. Some people probably think I should just leave the board altogether if I don't at least post SC reviews. In fact I did leave the boards for a few months earlier this year as I was totally fed up after my experiences on the other board.

But I decided to come back and try to at least keep what happened over there from happening here. It takes decent posters who care about the board to make it a fun and enjoyable place to be. The mods can't do everything. They can ban people and enforce the rules but they can't make the board fun. It takes the members to do that.

That's kind of a long way around to get to the fact that we need people like you on MERB. People who can stand up for themselves and the board without fighting and just be who they are. Stable, honest and reliable posters are hard to find but they seem to be really easy to chase away.

I for one hope you decide to stick around. Maybe if you do, then others will come and then the trolls and sh** disturbers will see that they can't win here.

Lately we have seen a slew of members apparently here strictly to criticize, disturb, complain, spit on others, start flame wars, destroy reputations, harass others, shit disturbers of all kinds, people with ties with agency owners and the agendas that goes with their status, etc..., destroying the spirit of MERB along the way, causing regular members to stay silent because they do not want to get involved in flame wars and rants of all kinds,

I'm not an active moderator anymore, but it seems current mods need help.

You can expect a few permanent bans very soon. Don't like MERB? Go play in someone else's sandbox. It's time the spirit of the good ol'days comes back to MERB.
