Pardon
The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic propelled pharmaceutical company Pfizer's earnings to a record $100 billion last year, almost $57 billion of which was driven by its vaccine and antiviral pill Paxlovid, the company reported Tuesday.

The vaccine accounted for $37.8 billion, up just 3% from 2021, of Pfizer's total sales as demand for the shots slowed. But sales of its blockbuster antiviral treatment made up for that softening, surging to $18.9 billion in 2022, the first full year that Paxlovid was on the market.

You’d rather there be no vaccine? Or cure? :D:D

Or companies, investors and scientists / researchers / workers do this for free out of the goodness of their hearts?? :p:p

You mean like some of these indy escorts in Montreal, right?:p lollllll

I would believe this if it were not coerced and mandated like they did for the last two years. This was a clear example of McCarthyism. What happend to my body my choice? Governments used the public health excuse many times to install authoritarian policies for their own benefit. One thing is clear the vaccines were not made for the benefit of the public. Now back to topic of this thread.

All that to say,

Rates are going up, clients’ salaries aren’t following and eventually some will have to stop seeing SPs/MPs. Maybe they’ll turn to something else that’s free. Maybe they’ll give another chance to dating apps. Maybe they’ll do like that Toronto guy that loves back with his mom to save money and keep seeing SPs.

I can feel you. I was being facetious when I said “not again”. It’s a genuine concern but I don’t think creating multiple threads will give you the answers you are hoping for. Some of you will always counter argue the solutions and advice.
While you're not entirely wrong you're also not reading the room correctly and you're missing some of what's happening between the lines.

You do realize that their interactions and posts here are a form of marketing right?
And I do not mean just in the specific sub forum, but in general. Some are more subtle about it, some are not.
I was always taught a business owner should not enter conversations with conflict situations, stay neutral and keep out of conversations you disagree with. The % that disagree with you will not use your business. If you keep quiet both parties may use your business.

Plenty of us find these interactions and posts a turnoff.

I’m with MR - if you actually had business, and a life, you wouldn’t be on MERB all the time.
I was on here a bit over ten years ago ( forgot user name and e-mail so new one ). There were no escorts on here then, just a bunch of guys shooting the shit.

My reply was to show Pfizer did have a profit, nothing else.

Some of you will have to change your habits soon or later. Maybe that or your behaviour.

Some people in those very same threads are able to get services for free, discounts, arrangements and whatnot. It has to do with their habits and behaviour.

I don't want everyone to be my client, especially if we don't get along. I'm not selling tires. When expressing our points of view and showing our personality, we'll attract more clients who match our energy, which is the ideal scenario.

Maybe that’s the goal ;)

Cudos since this would effectively be a very good screening method right at the source and I would chalk it up, in this domain, as sound management.

I wouldn’t call that a screening method at all. When you see an SP do you plan a long term relationship, do you talk politics? It's a loss of income. When I had a store I didn't care what someone thought about politics or any other topic as long as they were polite during our transaction. From what I see the comments are back peddling.

I agree partially. Some subtle promotional posts aren't that subtle. But overall I think most interactions are informative and give a great perspective from the other side.
Not exactly sure who "plenty" is :) but, i'm also interested in having other perspectives on those topics

I think you're missing the point. There are different markets and I'm thinking she doesn't aim to be something like an agency. It's a totally different market with completely different clients. Fine dining vs McDonalds if you will.

:p:p:p Well, “fine dine” away! Lmaooooo. The rest of us simple minded folk will just keep on keeping on. I guess. Poor us.;)

The hilarious things that cracks me up - the last time I engaged in this conversation topic on MERB (at least for me) was in the summer of last year. About the lack of talent, where we touched on rates tangentially. And I remember someone exclaiming, saying something along the lines of: “if this thread isn’t for you, you don’t have to read it!”

But then, we get these “this again??” posts. Again. :D

So… if you don’t like the topic, you don’t have to read it or engage. Lolllll.

I don't really need to change anything. You'll notice that I'm not one of the ones complaining specifically about pricing. Giselle got that right. I learned all about managing my expectations and my budget long ago. That's not really the point though. I understand that the dollars and cents is what is the priority to you and to your business, which is perfectly natural, but what I'm saying is that you're focusing entirely on that and you're missing the tone and subtext of what the guys are saying here. They're talking about more than just rates, and not everything is being said directly.

Idk why you would take offense to that. Weird.
