PS- Can we put it in our bet that the loser has to pay within one week(7 days) after the Pats are mathematically eliminated or make the playoffs, do you agree Korbel?.
Hey Joe.G,

NO...you can't get out of the bet.

YAAAAAAAAWWWWN! Sorry I have not responded until now. Just boring stuff here you know. When you find something unexpected I'll let you know.

I thought your payment to me in late November was already worked out. Didn't you agree already to pay as soon as the Pats were in. If you check the wager you will see I put that in from the start, but you were too chicken to confirm the payment part. By the way...that WILL be a cashier's check sent to Rumples so he can send it to me.

Cheers,

Korbel

PS

About Moss: terrific player...amazing speed, hands, leaping ability...forces defenses into frenzy...yeah, we want him back. However, off balance when chucked hard the line...types of pass routes he runs are limited and predictable...fails to fight for the ball against tough, skilled defenders as happened in the playoffs. Chief failing...while he did control himself to fit into the team concept he is almost as in love with himself as TO. If the Cowboys get him they will have possibly the two biggest prima donnas in football. Frankly, I think Welker is just as valuable. It's like the difference between A-Rod and Ortiz. One has huge numbers, the other you can count on in the clutch...WHEN IT COUNTS.

You are such a tool korbel, Moss(the best receiver in football) isn't officially off the team and you are already bad mouthing him, where was all this negative talk when he was setting NFL records while playing catch with Brady, you are definitely a few tomatoes short of a thick sauce.

Oh by the way it looks like Gay(Pats second best cb and Stallworth a very good wr) are gone also, maybe they can convince Seau who will be 40 next year to stay.:(

Hey Joe.GG,

NO...you can't get out of the bet...whiner.

Ah yes, I have failed to be the blind blustering fan who can find no fault among players who are sainted as long as they wear the right uniform. This is a disease commonly called "pinstripe myopia". Are you saying Moss has no faults after his very low production games in the playoffs? I forgot. For you A-Rod's numbers are holy, even when he chokes so badly in the post season. So why wouldn't you want to avoid what is so obvious about Moss' playoff performance after all the huge regular season numbers. You are so used to that cut off point. Wait a minute. You barely said a decent word about anyone in a Patriots uniform all year. But, you said plenty to deride them including Moss. So the pungent smell of hypocrisy AGAIN taints your words.

Odious,

Korbel

PS

Use the dictionary to look up the word "tool" in the context you "tried" to use it. You'll find your slavish unquestioning blind devotion between the lines.

Notice how the Bills and Jets have significantly gotten better since free agency started and the Pats have significantly gotten worse?, and its only been 3 days since it started and the Pats roster has been raided badly.

I am really really sorry Korbel and SK for taking advantage of you guys but you made it too easy that I just couldn't resist, on top of that the lawsuits keep piling on.

Rule number one about gambling is the same rule as being a successful drug dealer(don't get high on your own supply), in this case never bet on a team when your heart is involved.:(

Hey Joe.GG,

Stop whining. You CAN'T get out of the bet.

"Raided badly"...means to have raided poorly, which would indicate the Patriots are practically untouched. Where the hell did you learn syntax? Was it at an inner city American school? No wonder you are a New York fan...lol.

This One's for Joe.GG. Pats and Moss DEAL!!!

Hello all,
http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/football/patriots/
view.bg?articleid=1077462&srvc=sports&position=0

Pats, Moss connect on deal...

The Randy Moss saga looks like it’s headed for a happy ending, as two media outlets have reported the Patriots [team stats] and the wide receiver are in the process of finalizing a three-year, $27 million deal.
Both ESPN and Pro Football Talk have reported that the contract was pretty much a done deal, as the Pats have finally locked up the free agent.

Moss, who set a new NFL record for touchdown receptions this past season, catching 23 touchdown passes from Tom Brady [stats], had begun exploring outside options Friday.

He reportedly wanted to see if he could get something better on the open market. With an apparent absence of offers from teams, who were unwilling to make a bid knowing the receiver was likely going back to the Pats, the negotiating heated up today and a deal was struck with the all-world receiver.

SO...how's your little needle hard on now...if it's true...dipstick???

Cheers,

Korbel

PS

ESPN is reporting a deal is imminent.

Update: ESPN is reporting the deal is done and only the press release is left. Reports say Moss will receive $12,000,000 in a signing bonus.

Moss Signs With Patriots...Joe.GG limp.

Hello all,

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7866384/
Moss,-Pats-reach-deal-on-$27M-pact

Randy Moss is staying with the New England Patriots.

The defending AFC champions re-signed the record-breaking receiver on Monday to a three-year deal worth $27 million, his agent said. The signing was confirmed by the team shortly after Moss posted a message to fans on his Web site.

"I want to take time out to thank all of the fans for their support and for wishing me well in my return to New England," therealrandymoss.com quotes him as saying. "I'm ready to get back. We have some unfinished business to take care of."

Moss' agent, Tim DiPiero, said the deal included guarantees of $15 million, including a $12 million signing bonus to the receiver who set an NFL record with 23 touchdown catches and helped the Patriots reach the Super Bowl in his first season with the team.

"Randy was serious about wanting to stay," DiPiero wrote in an e-mail. "Because of Randy's record-breaking year, the interest in him was very high. Randy took less than he could have to rejoin his teammates."

Pairing Moss with NFL MVP Tom Brady, who broke the league record with 50 touchdown passes, the Patriots breezed through the regular season with a perfect 16-0 record. They improved to an unprecedented 18-0 before blowing a chance at the league's longest unbeaten season with a 17-14 Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants.

"What Randy did for our team last year was outstanding," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said in a statement. "He is one of our most consistent, competitive and team-oriented players and it is undoubtedly a relationship we are excited to continue."

Moss, 31, has caught 774 passes for 12,193 yards in a 10-year career, and his 124 career receiving touchdowns are fourth in NFL history.

A four-time All-Pro, Moss took a pay cut to get out of Oakland and come to New England last April in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick. In addition to his 23 touchdowns, he caught 98 passes for 1,493 yards and largely avoided the type of turmoil that characterized his previous NFL stops.

During seven years with Minnesota, where he made five Pro Bowls, he was fined $10,000 for pretending to pull down his pants and moon the Green Bay crowd during a Vikings playoff win, and drew criticism for leaving the field with 2 seconds left in a loss to Washington.

He also bumped a traffic control officer with his car in 2002, verbally abused corporate sponsors on a team bus in 2001 and squirted an official with a water bottle in 1999.

In Oakland, he openly campaigned to be traded to a winning team. With the Patriots, he avoided controversy until the playoffs, when a woman sought a restraining order against him, claiming that he committed "battery causing serious injury."

Moss denied the allegation and said the woman was trying to get money from him.

Also Monday, the Patriots signed free agent receiver Sam Aiken.
The 27-year-old has played five seasons with the Buffalo Bills with 19 career receptions for 250 yards and 61 career special teams tackles.
"Competing against Sam many times over the years, we know firsthand what he brings to us," Belichick said.

For the record...I stand by everything I said previously. We wanted him, but he has key weaknesses in big games.

Now that I backed up my previous statement...HEY Joe.GG...how ya feeling. Gone limp I guess huh. Yeah little Josey...ain't feeling too comfortable now, are you.

By the way Josey, I was listening to ESPN. It seems like the Giants have lost more critical defensive players than the Patriots. ESPN calls them the biggest losers in the free agent market this year. Are they your team??? Well, we never got an answer on who your team is....you little bandwagoner.

Toodles sweetie,

Korbel

Actually, as far as biggest losers go this ESPN article puts the Pats first and Giants second. And since the toughest positions to fill are, in order, quarterback, cornerback, left tackle and pass rusher, I would agree that losing two corners is a bigger loss than losing two linebackers and a safety. Although if Strahan retires, I might call it even. :)

Hey JB,

Look who chimed in. Must have struck a nerve. The problem here is ESPN sports casters say one thing and the article may say another. I have not read the article and don't care to. I know what he said on the air and the Patriots were not mentioned among three teams he did cite. Not that any of this truly matters. I was just pointing out the little nimrod's bias and his desperation to throw digs while ignoring all else..

Toodles,

Korbel

Acutally IMHO unless the Pats lost someone Major like Brady they are still on board to make the play off. That division sucks ass. You got the Dolphins in a rebuilding period which is going to take 3 or more years. The Bills need I say more ? and of course the J-E-T-S are L-O-S-E-R-S. So by default its a 6-0 season so far. Given the Caliber of their team they can win 4 more games easily playing any NFC Scrubs. The Pats will probably dominate that division for at least a min. of 2 to 4 years. Of course things can change if Parcel speeded up the process and give the Pats a run for their money, but that's why they play the game. Making the bet that they won't go to the playoff is a statistical nightmare. Again given everything is equal and there is no major injury they should make it back.

On top of all that Pookie mentioned, the Patriots have the easiest schedule in the NFL next year, akin to the 1972 Dolphins...their average opponents winning percentage is under .400 next season.

Looking forward to my date courtesy of the generous Joe.t...That has a nice ring to it...Generous Joe.t!!

1. Moss could get injured and we all know what happens to his team when that happens.

2. Brady could get injured, did you notice the pounding he took in the super bowl, more of that to come, hope Matt Cassell is ready.

3. Free agency is not over and I am predicting that the Pats split their games with the Bills and the Jets.

4. Spygate is getting bigger and bigger everyday and the lawsuits are piling on, go get em Arlen.:)

Problem with this stat K is that it is based on last years numbers and we all know that teams can greatly improve the following year, ex: Green Bay Packers.:)

I merely pointed to an ESPN article which seemed to contradict what you heard and made an observation as to why I think the Pats lost more than the Giants with regards to free agency.

Oh well, sorry for interrupting, you may now resume your infantile pissing contest with Joe T...

Lighten up.

Hello JB,

Thanks for stopping by. It is comforting to know you are lurking out there, somewhere, always ready to make a necessary correction. Such contributions are what I live for. If you want to raise the level of things on this thread then maybe someday you can actually commit to it with thoughtful ideas instead of chiming in with your red correcting pen...truly a worthwhile post.

Many thanks,

Korbel

Raising the level of things in this thread would require something akin to the Inquisition and perhaps a couple of exorcisms as well. Since I do not hold such powers, no thanks. :D
