1.Next to nothing in cap space, will only be able to sign one superstar(Moss).
2.Brady and Moss had record breaking years which they will not be able to repeat.
3.The defence is old and will fall apart, Harrison who is the greatest safety to ever play the game will be 38 and his age will show, Seau, Bruschi and Vrabel are also on the wrong side of 30.
4.Samuel one of best corner's in the NFL is gone and the Pats will miss him big time, Gay could also be gone.
5.Spygate seems to get bigger and bigger and I wouldn't be surprised to see pressure for Belicheat to resign at some point.
Poor Joe.G
1. The Patriots are one of the most skilled teams at getting good/great players within the salary cap.
2. Even without Moss, Brady has led the Patriots to the playoffs with average receivers.
3. Avoiding injury and keeping great players together is the real issue. The skill of Bruschi, Seau, Vrabel and Harrison easily compensates for age.
4. The defensive backfield was the weakness last year. Samuel is a key loss but new plaers were going to replace Hobbs and others anyway.
5. Nothing new has been added to Spygate since the NFL punished the Patriots with fines and loss of a 1st round draft choice. Since the NFL has settled the matter there should be no further punishment unless some wannabe Senator wants to open up every team in the NFL to the same scrutiny the Patriots have faced. As for Belichick, as distasteful as the taping issue is, I doubt he will leave and if he does he will find many takers for his services.
Hey Joe...who is your team anyway...or are you claiming you were Gaints fan all along...bwahahahahahaaa. Why are you cowering here in this thread and avoiding the Clemens issue? Clearly you save your criticism for rivals and haven't got the courage to stand up and be real when issues implicate your teams.
Bronx cheers,
