The ticklish subject of sending e-transfers to SPs

What great things I have learned so far about the sex industry, thanks to the great people here at MERB. Now the subject is about e-transfers. Two situations: Case 1) I'm trying to set up a date with an SP connected to an agency in the East of Montreal, Anjou, where she works out of a hotel in the area. I want her to do an outcall in the West of Montreal. First, she asked for an e-transfer deposit of fully half of the price for that night. I balked, and then she had an alternative plan: just send me through e-transfer cab fare $50 to get to my hotel location here in West Montreal. Any thoughts, MERB community? Case 2) I just found an attractive SP who demanded that I pay half of the price through e-transfer of our time together, stating that she was ripped off by a customer paying cash. She insists on never being paid in cash, only through e-transfers. The funny thing is, she never mentions this fact in her abbreviated ad --- that she'll only accept e-transfers. I don't want to nickel and dime the particulars of this situation, but one must be cautious these days. She told me, "I don't like it when people doubt me!" Well, I believe in trust --- trust, but verify! Incidentally, she asked me for the password ahead of time. Thanks.

I usually ask a one time deposit of $50 for my first time clients or a referral from another SP that has already seen the person wanting to book me.

This partial deposit reassures us SPs that the potential client is serious in wanting to book us and won’t stand us up or is a “Time waster” as we call them.

She told me, "I don't like it when people doubt me!" Well, I believe in trust --- trust, but verify!

This is a typical saying from potential clients also!
It is complete circular logic because both parties can say the same thing. They are just words until you gain trust!

You need to verify her legitimacy through cross-referencing her socials / if she has any links & well obviously here on merb on her review thread.

Note: There are other options when sending a partial deposit such as; gift cards or wish lists to avoid disclosing your personal info if ever you aren’t comfortable doing so!

I personally don’t like when people are insistant with me, there’s no reason to be! I like to find a middle ground for all and provide different options that best suits everyones needs!

It shouldn’t be a complicated process.

Also, unless you are booking a multiple hour… there is no reason to send HALF of a deposit (that is just my opinion). Usually a 12 hour or overnight is a 20% deposit of the total rate. If it’s for HH or 1H half seems a bit much but to each their own!

Nobody wants to get scammed - it goes both ways;
You, the client, getting scammed by sending money.
Us, the SP, getting scammed by being lied to and having no shows.

I find this off putting because how could you be ripped off by paying cash?
You count the cash before the session.

If anything it’s the opposite - you’d be ripped off by e-transfers. It happened to me that I received an e-transfer and instead of accepting it right away before commencing the session I decided to accept it later. The minute he walked out the door after our session ended, the guy cancelled the transfer right away. He never came back to see me. Thankfully.

So again, in my book, cash is King. You can’t go wrong with it.

Thanks, Valentina. Very wise words and observations. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about what happened to you, Valentina. It's true: this kind of thing happens both to SPs and clients. At the end of the day, cash is indeed king.

Thank you! And hey - it’s a learning experience for me too :p
I now accept the transfer (if ever they choose to give the donation that way) before they leave hahahha.

Whenever you have a meeting with an SP you trust that she does not have STDs, there is no unauthorised recording, and there is not some pimp hiding in the adjacent room. What is the problem of giving an advance payment? At most you lose a couple hundred dollars. With the interact transfer she will also know your real name but nowadays this is the requirement of many SPs anyway

It can go both ways, I wanted something new from my regular SP and spotted an SP downtown Montreal anacosta 69 she does not seem to be around anymore.

She ask me for 50$ deposit for gas which seem legit since she was coming at my place St Eustache during that time from Montreal. I sent her the deposit, she said ok I have one more client and I am on my way.

1 hour later she said mmm the weather is pretty bad I will have to reschedule, I said ok no problem but please transfer me my 50$ back, she said sorry honey can't do that.

The next day I try to rebook her but no answering my text, I came on here and did a very negative review about her, but one of her white knight regular snitch on me.

She went ballistic tried to call me text me the story had change now she had a medical emergency even sent me picture of her at the hospital and said I was cold hearted.... I said I don't care send me back my 50$ and I will remove the bad review which she did. After she sent back my 50$ she tried to justify herself again. I said listen you said bad weather and now its an medical emergency sorry please stop texting me and I block her.

This is why I don't send deposit anymore and I rather do in calls with the SP

As someone who pays deposits all the time, this sentence is a tad dismissive to me. No one likes to be ripped off. We all work hard. I recently had to deal with a SP canceling on me and returning the deposit. In between taking her time returning the deposit and said something about having to prove her identity on the app (which sounded highly curious to me), I fully never expected to see the deposit again. But surprisingly she returned it.

Yes losing a few hundred bucks won't send anyone into bankruptcy. That doesn't mean one should be delighted about paying money and getting nothing back for it.

With my regular, I send her by e-transfer only. She prefers it. I prefer it. And yes, your full name appears, but no big deal with her

And there are 2-3 others I do etransfer with, but I had seen them multiple times before.

I don't think I would do it with someone I haven't repeated with
