I read these bombs were paid for but held for delivery until now.

Bombs provide very very cheap demolition for future real estate projects.

I see it often, employees that should be fired but it makes it very hard for the company to get rid of due to the union. Employees keep on doing bad things or infractions and are still on the job. The jobs weren't lost. They will all still be there, only for less pay and harder working conditions. I've heard most are just changing ownership.

There are several loopholes like "contract workers" that make up a good percentage of people working in unionized companies.

They went on strike during the holidays and at the end it is the public that will suffer and businesses incur losses. The government did the right thing to order a back to work order. Already with so much inflation the last thing anyone needs is higher prices for food and products. Canada Post got a $1 billion loan and taxpayers will get the bill. The crown corporation is incurring losses each year and striking workers is making it worse and making Canada Post loose even more money. Taxpayers will get the bill. Many charities rely on donations that get send via mail. Unions are no good. I hate them.

This is about the only issue I agree with you and a few others on. It was a great day when Reagon fired all the controllers. Unions were needed for abused and underpaid factory workers or in the 19th century but not today.

I have a client who owns a large IT firm that works with one of the major auto companies. He told me when he delivers computers to the floor of an assembly plant, he has to wait maybe for hours for someone from the Electrical Union to .....plug it in...... He has seen the vast rooms union folks sit around in idle until they need a computer plug to plug in, just as an example.

Years ago, he had contracts in Russia and described how the negative US attitude gradually grew over the years from the very friendly Russians with whom he had interacted.
