Only a genius/crook will not actually pay for any of this from his own money.
And he's banned from running a business in New York for 3 years. Yet he wants to run the country for 4 years. Only morons or MAGA extremists would vote for someone like that.
No one finds it odd that a bank would not send in an auditor to assess the value for a loan that size? It is Trump and that should have set off alarms to banks.
A few things: rich people generally get the benefit of doubt and don't get the scrutiny someone of lesser means would get.
Secondly, I don't doubt that other real estate investors have done similar. The difference is they probably didn't do at the extremes that Trump has done.
Immediately related to this is those in the same field as Trump didn't invite legal scrutiny by running for and governing in office in the bombastic, something-the-country-has-never-seen-before way. Remember that Trump got away with all this underhanded stuff with the Trump organization for decades! What changed? He ran for office! He would still be getting away with all the shenanigans he's been doing for decades now had he never run for office or run/governed as most US presidents have been: boring. He unwittingly bought himself this headache.
So days after another multimillion judgment against him, he's now selling $399 gold, high-top sneakers. Yes, ugly ass basketball shoes that cost $400.

If you pay your mortgage every month, but committed mortgage fraud by lying about your assets it's still mortgage fraud.
Ask yourself this: if Trump thought he could secure either the loan or favorable terms for the loan with his actual assets, then why fabricate anything?
