Maybe I'm a Luddite, but some of these older things can't be had anymore and I miss them.
In no particular order:
The small triagular window vents in cars that opened so that they blew tons of wind your way on a hot summer day.
Odometers that rolled rather than digital.
Lawnmowers without a safety kill switch that turns off the mower when you let go of the handle. (A little wire fixes this problem lol).
Dial timers vs digital.
Directory Assistance
Yellow corn, not that peaches and cream crap.
Fax machines instead of scanning, saving, finding the stored file, attaching the scan file, writting an intro, and sending an email.
SP's under $200 an hour.
Being out of range with a cell phone.
Having no cel phone and thus being totally out of reach.
Album covers with real artwork, instead of whatever passes now.

What do you miss, or is newer better?

2. Action movies from the 80's without all the over exaggerated special effects like the movies from today
3. Mens clothes that are made a reasonable size not like todays clothes where a t-shirt is so long that it goes close to my knees
4. Quality products that were made on this continent or Japan
5. Your money went a lot further then it does today and getting a less advanced education was enough to have a decent pay not like today where you need at least a Bachelor's

I made some search this morning and I realize that I misspelled the name of that product.

It is Dippity-Do hair gel.
Actually, I don't know if today I really miss that gel or the hair that I had back then to apply this product. :(

I also miss the era when there were FS stripclubs in Montreal (and Laval) :

Mo-Li Bar: On Des Laurentides Boulevard, on the West side of the Street. Now it is a vacuum cleaner shop (well..we could even say that they keep the same line of products...good vacuum cleaners!). It was located just besides the old and gloomy Motel Lido
Bar Le Tutu: Still on Des Laurentides Boulevard, on the East side. Formerly on the basement of the Motel Le Vicomte.
Café des Milles-Iles on the North part of the Island (in Sainte-Rose) [I even had an affair back then with the barmaid]
There was also another FS stripclub that was located on Des Laurentides Boulevard, on the West side, near Dagenais (Unfortunately I don't remember the name of that joint)

In Montreal there was, for a very brief period, a FS stripclub, in Saint-Leonard on Des-Grandres-Prairies, on the South side (was it on the corner of Salvaye...I don't remember the name of the corner street). I do remember that the actual building hosts right now a day care center (garderie)!!!!!!
Still in Saint-Leonard: Le Tango Vert on jarry Street and Le Castel Tina. Le Castel Tina was not really a FS club but as I knew back then the owner, Salvatore, I had several afterhours private parties with the staff.

I also remember that there was a stripclub (not FS) on Lacordaire (West side) near Couture. Any Stripclub experts??????

I spent many dollars at Le Tango Vert. It was walking distance from my home. I actually dated a stripper from there.

The only club that I remember that was near Couture was on Langelier. It was called Le Jardin d'Eden. I worked just around the corner from there. We spent our lunch hours when we were on strike there (only about a week) but good times none the less. It had a pretty good buffet, and the food wasn't bad either.

Yessss! Le jardin d'Eden was the name of the club.

Thank you ! For a reason that I cannot explain I always mix the name of Langelier and Lacordaire.

There was a little club too, on Langelier near Le Jardin d'Eden. It was on the same side (West) and just a little bit South.

+1, boy do those places bring back good memories!
That FS club on Des Laurentides/Dagenais was just called "bar sexe" as far as I remember - a white shack of a building.
Moli bar was weird at times, everything in the open but still fun.

I miss
-when I was a kid and I would get stiffies all the time for no reason.
-The old soft-core porn on Bleu Nuit
-Ruffles Salt and Vinegar.
-The playboy Lingerie issues in the days when models had real breasts and pubic hair. And they had 1 or 2 pictures each of a lot of model instead of having 5 pages each of only a few model.

Talking of restaurants,

There was a time (I think it ended in the late 80's) when you could still have a (decent) lunch for 3.25$ : Soup, main course, dessert and coffee.
Remember that at 3.25$ you were not paying taxes. That's the reason why restaurants had a 3.25$ special.

Oh God, how I want my bear. But he's gone, gone forever. I'd give anything to know what happened to him.
