I put Tofu sometimes in Spaghetti tomato basil sauce. Cut in small cube. Kids love it. Me I find the Tofu does not ruin the sauce so it's all good ;)

Look behind you.
With Tofu IMO it is great to bake natural, throw it into a Thai soup and let it absorb the soup. It is good.

I integrated tofu in my routine during the last year and i like it. One a week in average. I usually cook it in a pan with a bit of oil and Montreal Steak spices. Sometimes i add sesame seeds. If you grill it long enough, it's really tasty. Sometimes i swap the steak spices for Lemon and Herbs spices, but anything you like will do.

I used to make teriyaki tofu when I was a teenager. Was really good. You can find many recipes online. I also like to put a slice of tofu in a sandwich or burger it kind of reminds me of cheese, texture-like lol

Well if you are looking for a different style of tofu I use a creative and flavourful option to preparing it.

I use firm or extra firm tofu, then cut it into large cubes. I season or marinate the cubes, with my desired seasoning , then spray a cooking pan with Pam or olive oil.
Put the cubes on the pan, and bake it from 15-22 minutes at 300 degrees , to desired texture.
.
Make sure to flip the cubes, and add olive or pam to prevent sticking, when needed
I then use the cubes as substitute meat, in version dishes.

I hope you enjoy

it's also good practice to paper towel off the tofu, like we may do for fish, if we are crisping up tofu, or even, flash frying them.

Recipe for 4
500g of tofu
1 onion
1 red pepper
2 garlic cloves
Olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Maple syrup
Soy sauce
1 garbage can

Cook all the ingredients, add the oil, vinegar and maple syrup.
Don’t pretend it looks or tastes good, do this right. Throw it in the garbage can and order 1 XL all dressed pizza and enjoy !

Being a vegetarian, I use Tofu a lot. One of my favourite is Vegetarian Tofu Cashew Coconut Curry

The recipe:
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
1 jalapeño, diced
1 medium sweet potato, diced into 1 inch cubes
½ head of cauliflower, cut into small florets (about 2-3 cups)
1 bell yellow or orange pepper, diced
2 carrots, thinly diced or chopped
2 tablespoons curry powder
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon cumin
⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
1 (15 oz) can lite coconut milk1/2 cup tomato sauce
¼ cup roasted cashews
1 package firm or extra firm Nasoya tofu, cubed

Instructions
1. Add coconut oil to a large pot and place over medium high heat. Add in garlic, ginger, jalapeno, sweet potato, cauliflower, bell pepper, and carrots. Saute for 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until carrots start to soften.

2. Next stir in curry powder, turmeric, cumin, cinnamon and salt.

3. Add in coconut milk, tomato sauce and ground cashews. Stir until smooth.

4. Gently add in tofu and stir. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes or until sweet potatoes and carrots are fork tender. Serve immediately with cilantro.

Maybe s.s neo is on to something. No disrespect to those who like tofu , but I find it too bland for my taste . I know that’s the whole point so as to easily absorb any added flavour but still . It is a healthy source of protein though and I’m guessing tofu’s very popular in every vegans or vegetarians diet .
