Genius? Hell no. He was born into extreme wealth and invested money. I'll bet many of his investments aren't even his idea but decided by a team of people he pays that actually know shit. They probably told him not to buy twitter, but Musk being the 50 year old edge lord that he is just couldn't resist. Twitter is worth a fraction of what it was before he took it over.

I appreciate your thoughts. I, too, have great difficulty in speaking with MAGA supporters who are angry, fearful and full of revenge, and who appear to have been radicalized with ideas that have little, or no, basis in reality. Unfortunately, because of the convoluted way we elect a POTUS, only the voters in about 7 states will decide an election that may impact the future of America and the world. From that prospective, we all have "skin in the game".

I know of someone who used to run a high end service that catered exceptionally high end girls who the average (even wealthy) client could never see. Pretty sure none of my fellow Merbites are running for office. If they were, I'd judge them the same way I do Trump. Are they cheating on their wife? That would tell me that they're easily tempted, selfish, a prime target for blackmail, and quite possibly have other skeletons in their closet. But since no one here is likely to be in a position of power like PM or President, I don't much care what they do in their relationships. I will judge them though. I've never cheated in my life. It's really not that difficult an accomplishment.

Trump is a lousy businessman. As I already mentioned earlier in this thread, he's bankrupted at least 6 of his businesses, one of which was a casino. How the fuck do you fail a business where the house always wins? If he hadn't been born into wealth and power, he'd be in the same boat as most of us - working some boring job that pays the bills, maybe work his way up to middle management.
Same for Musk. If he hadn't been born into wealth and power he'd probably be some low-level IT guy that spends his nights playing WOW and trolling forums. The guy doesn't have any great ideas or insight, just a lot of money. I believe that if most people were given the advantages he was, they'd be just as successful.

I got hit with "word salads" from that one too, but she wasn't educated like Harris is, so it was relentless drivel and guttural dialogue for 2 hours nonstop. That is not how people behave or are expected to behave who have been professional prosecutors. Also, where was the closing argument she was trained to make? I have never heard of a debate where a trained attorney didn't make any closing argument.

Of course I am being serious. I think Harris made very clear, cogent, and convincing arguments.You are highly critical of Harris, which is your prerogative, yet you are silent when it comes to trump and his obvious deficiencies. I am curious as why that is so.
There was nothing Presidential from either candidate during that debate.
Trump was being his usual arrogant asshole self attacking Harris the whole time and Harris was acting as a troll baiting him sometimes successfully.
Neither offered anything of substance policy wise or to make the American public choose them.
Again two horrible candidates neither of which Americans should be proud of and both proved it during that debate.
