Musk is proving that a genius businessman can be a miserable and idiot politician !
Genius? Hell no. He was born into extreme wealth and invested money. I'll bet many of his investments aren't even his idea but decided by a team of people he pays that actually know shit. They probably told him not to buy twitter, but Musk being the 50 year old edge lord that he is just couldn't resist. Twitter is worth a fraction of what it was before he took it over.

So you really don't have skin in the game? I have friends and formerly family in Canada... but I don't feel I'm adequately qualified to talk about how much of a selfish idiot Trudeau is. My opinion means nothing to those who live and are affected by his policy.

Bottom line is that I don't like hypocrisy, and Kamala, Newsom and Co. seem to do that better than anyone else by a country mile. Hyperbole? Your apparent TDS doesn't seem to far from it, no? And maybe you should worry about who is running your country before you get on your soapbox and preach about who should be running ours. Anyone can armchair quarterback.
Like I said, I have family in California. America is also our neighbor, so I do have some skin in the game.

If you don't like hypocrisy, why would you support Trump over Harris? Remember that time Trump had his security clear out protestors with tear gas so that he could go get his picture taken holding a bible, standing infront of a church? Pretty sure he was holding the bible upside-down. This coming from a man that's been married 3 times and cheated on every single one of them.

I'm guessing TDS means Trump Derangement Syndrome and not The Downward Spiral? I wasn't aware it was considered deranged to be against having a rapist as the president of America. If that's deranged, then I'm deranged as fuck.

Actually I think TDS really means Trump Denialism Syndrome. I'm of the opinion that many of his avid supporters have a terminal case.

And I respect your disagreement. Not sure where you gleaned that I don't want to hear opinions from all countries, but that is hardly the case. My own family consists of immigrants (legal) from several countries across three continents, I'm very well travelled, speak more than a few languages, have good friends on both the Right and the Left (some quite far from center), and associate regularly with people in the sex worker industry who much of society unfairly criticizes. I regularly have open discussion with all of them, though I'll be the first to admit it is often difficult to talk with certain liberal friends who get very heated and sometimes angry that I don't share the same opinion as them. Doesn't mean I have skin in the game in matters through which they live daily, even though it may have an impact beyond their immediate circle. I love diversity of opinion -- preachiness or thinking for me, not so much.
I appreciate your thoughts. I, too, have great difficulty in speaking with MAGA supporters who are angry, fearful and full of revenge, and who appear to have been radicalized with ideas that have little, or no, basis in reality. Unfortunately, because of the convoluted way we elect a POTUS, only the voters in about 7 states will decide an election that may impact the future of America and the world. From that prospective, we all have "skin in the game".

Hmmm.
First according to you Trump is a lousy business man, Musk is not a genius.etc….
Here is some reality for you.
Trump was President of the most powerful country on the planet and is running for President again.
He lives in places and travelled to places and yes fucked women that you can only dream about.

Musk is one of the wealthiest people in the world known by just about anybody with a cell phone and who hasn’t got one.

You on the other hand are criticizing these successful people on a hooker board lol.
So far the only thing I know about you is that you like to have your face painted by SP you hire, oh and that you have TDS.
Reality does suck sometimes.

That's not much different from Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, lol. Doesn't matter what you think, those who will be affected the most are the citizens, legal residents and illegals of this country, not yours. As much as I think it's important to be worldly and as unselfish as possible in our views, we can't take care of others (and we certainly do -- a whole 'nother topic altogether) if we cannot take care of the people who make up our country. And that transcends politics, no matter what side you are on.

You're making a supposition you simply cannot back. Who said I supported Trump? Or maybe that's just something you assumed when I called Harris a hypocritical idiot. That she seems to so easily flip her previous beliefs doesn't help that opinion either. Now it's my turn to make an assumption (see how this works, lol?) I assume that the way you get your information is far from neutral and is largely colored in a certain way. I certainly hope that Canadian media isn't as skewed left as it is here. And herein lies some additional hypocrisy -- accusing Trump of philandering is no different than casting judgement on many of your fellow Merbites for partaking of services while in a relationship, no? Everyone has a story, and for me, I'm in no position to cast judgement on others while my shit still stinks.

I know of someone who used to run a high end service that catered exceptionally high end girls who the average (even wealthy) client could never see. These girls mostly saw politicians and government higher ups. Epstein-level shit as I understand it. The service to clients was blind to political party, but I'm quite certain their client list didn't cater to businessmen like Trump. And before you mention Stormy, one of my closest buddies used to work for her fixing mistakes. If you really think you know the whole story based on wherever you are getting the information upon which you preach, I have a bridge I'll sell you cheap ;)
I assumed you support Trump because there's really only two options in America and you seem pretty against Harris. I guess you could be a supporter of whoever that third party candidate is, but if that's the case you may as well not vote.

Pretty sure none of my fellow Merbites are running for office. If they were, I'd judge them the same way I do Trump. Are they cheating on their wife? That would tell me that they're easily tempted, selfish, a prime target for blackmail, and quite possibly have other skeletons in their closet. But since no one here is likely to be in a position of power like PM or President, I don't much care what they do in their relationships. I will judge them though. I've never cheated in my life. It's really not that difficult an accomplishment.

I think I'll take the word of the courts over your buddy's.

Trump is a lousy businessman. As I already mentioned earlier in this thread, he's bankrupted at least 6 of his businesses, one of which was a casino. How the fuck do you fail a business where the house always wins? If he hadn't been born into wealth and power, he'd be in the same boat as most of us - working some boring job that pays the bills, maybe work his way up to middle management.

Same for Musk. If he hadn't been born into wealth and power he'd probably be some low-level IT guy that spends his nights playing WOW and trolling forums. The guy doesn't have any great ideas or insight, just a lot of money. I believe that if most people were given the advantages he was, they'd be just as successful.

Funny how the Trump supporters jump so quickly to TDS. Typically right-wing behavior. When all else fails, just use a phrase off the list of buzzwords. Surprised you haven't called me woke yet or accused me of eating pet cats.

Facts haven’t changed, Trump was the President of the most powerful country in the world and maybe again and lives the lifestyle of a billionaire not bad for a so called lousy businessman such a fucking under achiever.

Musk again most people can’t even fathom the lifestyle he lives, such a loser lol.
Cats? for all I know you may be vegan.

TDS for sure, you are all into the lopsided left leaning media bullshit.
The only thing I like about Kamala is her looks, she was gorgeous in her youth and I would still fuck her as long as she promised not to release that cackling cringeworthy laugh of hers.

I thought I made myself clear but I guess not - Trump and Musk were already rich the second they were born. Remaining rich when you have access to million/billions of dollars isn't that great of an achievement.

How come you don't hold that same respect for Harris? She was born with much less yet climbed her way up to VP and is now running for President. Not only did she not have the advantages that Trump and Musk did, she was actually at a disadvantage by being a woman, Black, and Indian. Unlike Trump and Musk, she had to work hard to get to where she is instead of having it handed to her on a silver platter.

Back to the TDS. You can't address the points, so you instead attack my character calling me deranged. I guess that makes debates much easier. Person doesn't agree with you or presents something you can't refute? Insult them and accuse them of consuming bias media.

"LaMe-StReAm MeDiA!!!" lol. Let me guess - MY media is lies, yours is the truth. And you know it's the truth because you're so smart (and also because it tells you what you already believed).

Like Fradi I think Kamala Harris is a physically attractive woman (even now and probably more so in her youth), but things do go south when she opens her mouth, especially that hideously cringeworthy cackling laugh. As I think I may have mentioned earlier in the thread, she reminds me of a half African/half Indian woman I went on one date with from SA who had the same quality of her solid looks disappearing when she opened her mouth. It was the only date I ever went on where I came home with a relentless, pounding headache from listening to her. I got hit with "word salads" from that one too, but she wasn't educated like Harris is, so it was relentless drivel and guttural dialogue for 2 hours nonstop. Harris is good at playing a troll as she showed in the debate, but she will not be good at being the dignified, respect commanding statesman a President is supposed to be. She lacks the decorum, polish and professionalism.

Seriously? Have you watched clips from a trump rally? Talk about "word salad", gibberish, and gaslighting. Did you watch and listen to the debate? There was only one participant who acted and spoke 'presidential', and it wasn't trump.

Are you serious with this post? We are attorneys and she was neither Presidential nor professional at all. That is not how people behave or are expected to behave who have been professional prosecutors. Also, where was the closing argument she was trained to make? I have never heard of a debate where a trained attorney didn't make any closing argument.

Of course I am being serious. I think Harris made very clear, cogent, and convincing arguments. You are highly critical of Harris, which is your prerogative, yet you are silent when it comes to trump and his obvious deficiencies. I am curious as why that is so.

There was nothing Presidential from either candidate during that debate.
Trump was being his usual arrogant asshole self attacking Harris the whole time and Harris was acting as a troll baiting him sometimes successfully.
Neither offered anything of substance policy wise or to make the American public choose them.
Again two horrible candidates neither of which Americans should be proud of and both proved it during that debate.
