So a survey came out today, if the election was in Quebec, Trump would get 10%. 10%!!! Ok do not judge us all you Trump supporters as I can perfectly understand your frustration. But you got to understand that Quebec and especially Montreal would never be what it is if we would be suporting people like Trump ;) We are "vivre et laisser vivre", so far away from people like Trump.

Cheers,

Trump likely lost not one vote tonight and the wicked witch from the west likely gained not one vote. Status quo and this will go down to the wire most likely. Was a fun debate for sure.

He lost it tonight. No surprises there, it went down just as I thought it would. He isn't gonna win in a debate against her whn he's this gullible and incoherent. His only hope is that the wikileaks do a big expose on her or that she has another major health episode.

I really hope he gets elected. Back in the 50s the United states had one of the best education systems in the world. Trump as president is what you get for cutting down education and antagonizing the less fortunate. Enjoy the next 4 years america this is going to be a fun ride.

More on the Trump sniffles here:

Sniffling, snots and boogers have long been an occupational hazard for political debate candidates. Just ask Teddy Cruz:

Trump should have taken some non-drowsy Claritin which would have dried him up. His medical staff has to do a better job than this.

Donald Trump loves his country? Yes. He's used it's laws to escape bankruptcy 6 times, allowing him to exploit the housing market collapse (which he actually said he hoped for) and exploit it for billions while 9 million people who lost their jobs were forced to worry about simple survival. How could he not love a country where the laws help a billionaire evade all responsibility for his choices while millions get stuck with the consequences.

Hillary is a liar? LOL. When you don't like her pointing out the truth of your candidate above then you say that.

Listening to reactions this morning the results of polls often taken by the individual news organizations seem to reflect who tends to watch the organization. In one Fox public poll Trump won by 15 to 20%. In the CNN poll Clinton won by 35 to 40%. Notice the great disparity in the size of the margins between the two polls.

Of course partisans will like the poll on their side. But here two reports and analysis from pro-Donald Fox News that are a bit surprising.

Debate night: Trump struggles, Clinton clings to facts and figures, Holt stumbles

Hillary won the first debate (it helps to be prepared)

By Douglas E. Schoen Published September 27, 2016 FoxNews.com

Now the same people can say FOX NEWS IS LYING.

I was surprised "The Donald" kept his composure fairly well. Obviously he was strongly coached to keep it that way. But the immediate reaction nation wide is Clinton gained a few points nationally. If so that will be something Trump will use to say the stay composed argument didn't work and it will increase the likelihood "The Donald" will then go back to being the real Off the Wall Donald. Though there was the usual flakiness about the "Birther" issue and stepping on himself when he said it was smart he didn't pay taxes.

Best move: Great tactic by Clinton to tap Trump's deep insecurity about the source of his so-called success by referring from the start to his father's money and the idea his father was the kind of businessman Donald would have stiffed. It put Trump on the defensive (which everyone seems to agree about) from the start.

Cheers

You forgot to comment on the second part ;)

You are Correct! I tend to blind myself from Hillary ;)

Yes she is a liar, but she is a politician, pretty much the same. I have said it a few times, Trump would not be as bad as everyone think. The only thing I do not agree with you is that he is not doing it for his country at all, he is doing it for his big ego ;)

As I watched I was taken by the fact that neither of them appeared to be Presidential . That being said and picking the best of the worst, I do believe that Mrs. Clinton won the debate by a small margin over Mr. Trump. I would hope that the next two debates will focus more on the policies and less on the personal back biting. While e-mails and tax returns are important how the candidates will achieve their election promises is far more important. Let's not forget that America is choosing a leader for the next 4 years.......minimum. I would hope that he or she has a solid plan as to how to govern the country over that period.

Look behind you.
A plus for me is that Trump does not believe in all the doomsday climate change hoax. Yes the climate is changing, it always will and no amount of taxes will change what is happening.

Name me a politician or a lawyer that doesn't lie. That's also why so many politicans just happen to also be lawyers. They have a lot in common.

I went into the debate with an open mind as I am an undecided voter. I felt Clinton was calm and forceful with her statements and command of the facts. Trump constantly interrupted Clinton and commented on her replies in a manner that was rude, arrogant and undignified.

Clinton got in the best early zinger with her comment about "Trumped Up Trickle Down Economics."

Trump annoyed me with his answer that his income tax returns showing no taxes paid demonstrates that he is "smart". Fuck that! If you make income you pay taxes, it's that simple. I have paid tens of thousands of dollars in taxes every year to federal and state governments, while making an honest living and reporting all of my income.

American taxpayers don't want to hear that shit. Nobody is above the law.

My assessment of the debate:

Hillary Clinton destroyed Donald Trump!!!!!!!!!!!!

-It reminded me of the infamous Muhammad Ali-Chuck Wepner fight, where Wepner got pummelled all night long and managed to stay on his feet to the end. In a boxing analogy, let's just say that Trump nearly was decapitated by his opponent.

-Trump supposedly didn't prepare much for the debate and it showed. Badly. But don't blame his people for not preparing him. During the primaries, some of them confided that they tried and tried to get him to sit down with them to discuss and learn policy...especially foreign policy...and he was bored and couldn't get their attention.

-Trump was caught in a blatant lie several times, Clinton once on the TPP question where she stated she had never referred to it as a 'gold standard'

-When Clinton implied he had never paid federal income tax since 2007 and that he had a reputation of being a misogynist and had called women fat pigs, Miss Piggies and said said bigoted comments about one of them, he doubled down and didn't dispute Clinton's claims. Trump hurt himself badly on this, and continued to double-down this morning on this which even seemed to shock the Fox & Friends hosts.

-After it was pointed out by Clinton that Trump has a long history of discriminating against blacks, he did not dispute her attack and instead talked about the great country club he built on his Mara-lago Resort in Palm Beach (which i visited once, actually). Clinton should have come back with "how many of your members are black?", but she did not and Trump left watchers bewildered.

-He didn't fare well when faced with her attacks on his past comments about NATO. Same thing about Russia and the hacking. Trump doesn't seem to realize that it's very easy to go back in time and take a look at recordings of past comments he made either on tv, radio or twitter. In what century does he live in?

-He refused to admit that he at first was pro-Iraq war, although even the moderator called him on it. Anyone who has a brain knows fully well he said on the Howard Stern Show back in 2003 that he was for the Iraq War. Sure, like many people, he changed his mind after (like i did). What's important here is that he's continuously attacked Clinton for signing up for the war, although he basically was for it and same thing with getting rid of Ghadafi in Libya.

-Trump did okay early on when he talked about trade and trashed NAFTA. Clinton should have pointed out that Mike Pence is very pro-NAFTA and never did. Missed opportunity there. She also should have pointed out when he was berating companies for taking their business elsewhere to countries such as China and Mexico that Trump has done exactly the same thing with his ties and shirts over the years. She should have pointed out that it's like scolding a kid for going into the cookie jar when the parent does the same thing. It reminded me of an ex-gf a few years ago who scolded a male friend of hers for fucking around on his wife when she was doing exactly the same thing on her bf (with me). I found it very hypocritical.

-Trump brought up ISIS a few times, but it wasn't effective. Clinton easily rebutted his attacks and at one point Trump even said that he agreed with Clinton on some stuff. But Clinton missed an opportunity when she didn't retaliate after Trump's assertions that ISIS was born under the regime of Clinton and Obama. For historians like myself, it would have been an easy point to retaliate against since ISIS was actually born in 2003 under the Presidency of the great George W. Bush. Okay, i'm getting about 'great' part. Back in those days, ISIS was better known as 'Al-Quaeda in Iraq'.

-Trump kept repeating that she had 30 years to prepare. I could have started a drinking-game over this, along with his many repetitions of 'stamina'. Actually, maybe i did have a drinking-game going on. Clinton could have defended herself very easily by replying "Sorry, i was a First-Lady, then a Senator and then a Secretary of State. Never a President (yet)." She also could have come back with "During those 30 years i served the public, what did you accomplish other than discriminating against blacks, not paying contractors, bankrupting your casino, filing for bankruptcy 4 times, shipping out some of your companies to China/Mexico and not bothering to pay taxes?" Maybe in the next debates you'll see her coming back with this.

-I don't understand Donald Trump's obsession with Rosie O'Donnell. He brought up her name again last night. Okay, she's a hottie. But why always bring up her name?? He's a sick man.

-Someone tweeted after the debate that Trump's knowledge of foreign policy made Sarah Palin look like Henry Kissinger. Wow. That tells you all you need to know.

-By the end, Trump was panicking, constantly interrupted her throughout the evening (nearly 30 times), and was once again his usual whiny little bitch afterwards by complaining he got tough questions from the moderator (who's actually a Republican), that some of the questions were not fair, that the mic wasn't working right (he claimed the same thing in a primary debate when he didn't do well) because we kept hearing him clear his throat, he drank massive amounts of water throughout the night (why was i reminded of Marco Rubio?) while she never drank even once, and made himself look extremely foolish when he brought up the fact she had no stamina and didn't have the look to be President when just the optics showed otherwise. At the end of the debate, she looked like she had once a 100-meter race, while he looked like he had just run the Marathon.

-There are still two more debates left, and some of his cronies are already saying that they're advising him to skip the next debate. Who's surprised that 'Richie Rich' wants to take his ball and run away from the sandbox when things are tough? And this guy wants to be President?? Look Donnie boy, things will get much tougher if you ever become President!

-The final poll for the debate was that Clinton handily won it 62%-27%. Those in that 27% are the ones seen as the 'deplorables'.

-In future debates (don't worry, Kellyann Conway will coax him to stay and he'll likely agree to be prepared this time around), expect the tax thing to come back, expect her email thing to return (although he did bring it up last night), expect the Benghazi b.s. to be talked about, and the Clinton and Trump Foundations. All easy questions or topics for her to answer successfully. Trump University will likely be brought up, by either the moderator or by her. And if he does raise the Bill Clinton past affairs, which he very well might, it'll make him look terrible and also make him very vulnerable since he has a long history of having affairs which later led to the termination of several marriages. If he does bring it up with the intent to embarrass her (and likely her family, who are ready for the attacks), he'll end up not only embarrassing himself, but his current wife (who's marriage is rumoured to be on the rocks) and his children.

-If he does come back and say that he'll bring Gennifer Flowers at the next debate(s), Clinton's camp should say "Fine, we'll invite his ex-wives and a few of the women he's had affairs with...including the pornstar".

Anyways, it was a great entertaining night and i can't wait for the next debates!!!! :thumb:

Heard it at my gym so I missed a lot, dammit.
He was wrong to attach conditions to the release of his tax returns. And how many times did he repeat "against the advice of my lawyers"?
He doesn't pay taxes because he is "smart". Just what middle class families snowed under with debt want to hear, another billionaire paying no taxes.
He takes credit for finding Obama's birth certificate? I did not hear all of that bit. It sounded like he took credit for finding it last year even thought it was released years earlier.
Fun debate overall, very entertaining.
