Turkish speaking people - need one word translation

I have a friend and someone who's of Turkish decent used the word micana in reference to him. My friend believes the word is something negative. Do note that the word is spelled the way I think it's pronounced, therefore if anyone knows what this word means in English a response would be appreciated.
