Types of web sites for agency and indys

Hi all

I don't want to hijack the previous threads about the info we should see on Maria's site so, here's a specific thread.

• Some sites are simples but direct to the point.
• Some are high tech with all the bells and whistles, including music blasting your ears.
• Some are mid-range and very easy to navigate
• Some have all the bells and whistles but, they miss the critical info or are so slow to load or so complicated to maintain, they're basically useless since containing generic or inaccurate information. (They're all 5'4 and like pizza, uh?)
• Some have the good idea to offer a simpler interface as an option.
  
  So peoples, what do you like?

I like the simplier websites just because I'm able to pull them up on my cellphone and see who is currently working. I also like the use of RSS feeds by Asservissante which I'm also able to pull up on my cellphone.

Although it wasn't a lot of times, you don't know how many times that I didn't have access to an unmonitored PC at work and called Martin from XXXTase asking him if so-and-so was working only to be informed that she wasn't and I thanked him and hung up. Although I didn't do this a lot, Martin (or whoever answered the phone) has never gotten upset when I did this.

I wish that agencies would put simplier webpages (html only websites) with the specifics (current schedules) in addition to what they currently have. This way, people can pull up the webpages/schedules on their cellphone without having to resort to calling and finding that the lady that they are interested in seeing is not available and then hanging up.

Maybe something along the lines of:
http://www.agencywebsite.com/main-flash.html (for computers)
http://www.agencywebsite.com/main-cellphone.html (for cellphones)

Jimace, you're right. Mine is the "polite" way...

Simple please. I don't like all the neon glitter, animation, multiple pop ups, complicated backgrounds, etc. Easy navigation betweeen who's on or the week's schedule and pics of the girls, that's what the site is for.
Sadly some sites seem more to show the designer's newly acquired computer graphics skills. A little like a presentation during a meeting on power point. You can always tell who just discovered some features such as animation...

Il confirme ce que j'avais cru comprendre, c'est-à-dire qu'en ce qui concerne les sites web, les hommes préfèrent la simplicité au "flafla" (traduction personnelle de "fluff" ).
