What are you getting for 140 (146) a month?

I have unlimited 1G download for like 80.

I've never had videotron randomly raise their price during the contract's duration. It usually happens at the end of the contract and that's a cue to get another deal/contract or swap provider.

I mostly stay with videotron because I found their customer service to be way better. Had some issues with my internet connection last year and their technicians came back multiple times and tried a lot of different things before actually fixing the problem, which they did.

146/month is only for using HELIX wich including cable/tv and internet....on the other bill/Vidéotron i pay house/phone plus my cell.... so each month i have 2 separate bills to pay with VIDEOTRON....a bit annoying..lollll

STAY WITH VIDEOTRON!!!
Bell just causes headaches and are sending you the bill that is incorrect. Look outside you house you'll notice that there isa always a bell truck around, well in my area.
Videotron has great customer service.

When my Bell internet contract came up, I called twice to negotiate a price, both times the agent was trying to sell me a different service. Afterwards I went to videotron and switched all my services to them. Better prices and customer has been MUCH better.

Ah, the battle between Bell and Vidéotron for cable and internet services. Bell, the big player with its extensive network coverage and fancy services. They'll make sure you pay a premium for their innovation and top-notch customer support. Just don't forget to read the fine print of their contract terms and conditions, it's like a thrilling novel! And then we have Vidéotron, the local hero with competitive pricing and a touch of charm. Sure, their coverage area is limited to Québec, but hey, who needs the rest of Canada anyway? And who needs all those fancy features and cutting-edge technology when you can have a good ol' reliable connection and a friendly customer service rep? So, take your pick between Bell's expensive extravaganza or Vidéotron's cozy Quebecois experience. It's like choosing between a luxury yacht and a cozy cabin in the woods. Have fun making your decision!

If you need the best internet money can buy then the only option in Quebec is Bell. They have 3gbit symmetrical (so both down and up) and moving towards 8gbit. Assuming you need it and have the gear to handle it at home, there is just no competition compared to Videotron which maxes out at 1gbit down and 50mbit up.
/agree Videotron has nothing that competes to Bell Pure Fibre ..but Pure Fiber is not available everywhere (it's not here because wires are not underground on my side of the street ). It would make a big difference for my off-home backups ..but then again I'd have to deal with Bell again..a scary prospect.

totally agree. Bell has a great network and products but their customer service is horrible. they send their call centers overseas and the reps are poorly trained and rush the calls. The worse is the billing, each time you call the rep answering the call has a different story.
