I remember going to a SC in St.Jean that had a similar aquarium/swimming pool around the stage. Much cleaner and classier than Nicks Palace though.
Jost, the club in Lasalle was originally called the Venus bar. I spent a lot of time there when it first opened because I lived pretty close at the time and dropped in now and then every time it changed name to see if things had gotten better but it just kept sliding downhill. Other names were Goldfingers and then Goldfeathers. It was lots of fun in the beginning and we used to party with some of the dancers into the early morning at a restaurant nearby that was open 24hrs a day. Brings back some great memories!

I can remember going to Nicks when they had the aquarium, there was a stink that was given off by the aquarium water. I remember I could not stay long with the stink in the place. I was reading this thread and I think I was born in the wrong time. So many stripclubs, bars, and clubs back in the days. Must have been fun times. Now government paternalism, feminism, the internet, and social media ruined it all. All we got is boring OnlyFans and TikTok.

In the early 2000s there was a large strip club on Crescent just below Ste. Catherine. I don't remember the name but it was a good club in a great location.
It consisted mainly of a big, open room with raised areas around the edges of the main floor. You could sit somewhere along the highest level and see the entire room. You could scope out the girls and track their locations and availability. The booths were located in a side area. I think contact dances cost $5 (maybe $10) at the time and the mileage was good.
