What does it mean to be a Gentleman?

Many providers ask their clients to be gentlemen, but they don't provide specific details. I decided to search online to understand what it means to be a gentleman and found a list of requirements that one must meet to qualify as such. The list is quite long, and I believe that not many men would meet all the criteria. Therefore, I'm asking providers on this forum to shed some light on what being a gentleman means to you. Please share a couple of points so we can summarize them later

Here are some general points I discovered on the internet:
  1. Manners and Etiquette - (seems important and makes sense)
  2. Respect - (likely important)
  3. Personal Conduct - (unsure of its importance)
  4. Character - (uncertain why this is important)
  5. Social Responsibility - (seems irrelevant)
  6. Personal Growth - (I don't think it's important)

✅ Most important

  1. Personal Conduct - (unsure of its importance)
Kinda ties in with manners & respect. You can’t just do whatever you want when you want.

Here’s an important one to add to your list:

6. Wash your ass

There’s no reason that in 2025 I still need to tell people to smell themselves / wash themselves.

Did you know that in the 69 position - fumes from your hairy ass cracks rise up into our faces? If you ain’t fresh we get a nice whiff of your warm, musty lunch you had that day.

This is why some reviews are gonna show one SP will lick someone’s nuts but skip yours. If she doesn’t wanna lick your nuts or eat your ass you need to question yourself on your hygiene.
I’m not YMMV but YCMV (Your Cleanliness May Vary). If you’re not extra fresh I’m not performing my best on or with you. Too bad.

Don’t forget to use soap. Not just water. Wash your groin + pubes (full of sweat accumulation / bacteria) & dick cheese in your hoodie. We don’t want a snack mid-session - we’re good.

I really don’t get how people just rinse the dick and think it’s okay… Or spray perfume on it? Wash your whole private parts!! It’s as if you shat your pants but change your shirt instead and think you are fresh. Doesn’t work that way.

Anyway, here’s a tutorial:

Another important note:

Many guys have yeast infections aka Jock Itch. That is essentially a yeast buildup / infection. Sweat + pants rubbing in the groin causes that. Please check your groins. Getting a yeast infection in our mouths or the corner or our lips can hurt since we constantly have to suck cock - not you. Oh. And can’t work after. Put ointment on that shit and take care of yourselves.

I'm surprised this is #6 and not 1A or 2A?

A gentleman is a man who treats a woman like a lady.

Yes very important.
  1. Personal Conduct - (unsure of its importance)
If you ever want to see her again this becomes important.
  1. Character - (uncertain why this is important)
many men weed themselves out by this one. Showing red flags and bad character in messages, can often lead to being ghosted by providers.
  1. Social Responsibility - (seems irrelevant)
Example: At an appartment building, I think it very pleasant when a man comes and greets me at the door, and walks me to his appartment, rather then just buzz me in. I refer to it as I adore a gentleman.
  1. Personal Growth - (I don't think it's important)
Everyone needs personal growth. Being a shit person, and expecting everyone just has to deal with the bad attitude presented, no we don't.

Most of these points about being a gentleman are for people who want repeat visits. You get 1 chance to make a first impression. And you don't want to be in the situation, trying to beg someone you liked to come back and see you again, when they were left with a bad taste from poor behavior from the first visit. You may never get a second chance to see her again. Most indys book their own appointments, and we know who we enjoyed time with and who we didn't. It isn't someone else (booker) sending us back to see someone we didn't enjoy our time with.

1. I would assume that your personnel hygiene would be a priority, nobody likes the smell of sweat and body odor just before an intimate encounter.
2. Respect your provider's limits....yeah....your paying for it....but that does not give you the right to do what you want. Discuss any "fantasies" before hand with her.
3.Treat them with dignity, these are people with feelings who have lives apart from their profession.

At first glance I thought some of those points were dead ends, but you nailed them one by one - with eloquence I might add :))
Thanks
