Nothing else recent really stood out for me.

Am looking forward to American Gangster and some others.

I've been contemplating seeing
the heartbreak kid. But, it got such bad reviews. Why'd you think it was good?

Borne is great as long as you know the first three movies.....

Kingdom is freaking intense.....makes you really think after and be more paranoid walking down the street....not you regular action thing.....serious intense until thwe action in the last 1/2 hour

I've been very busy these past few months & haven't had the chance to watch as many movies as i'd like to, but i absolutely loved "Disturbia". I also enjoyed "We Are Marshall" & i'm looking forward to seeing "Michael Clayton", "Rendition" & "Kingdom".

I could care less what critics think

Made me laugh from beggining to end

A bit predictable towards the end but I still thoroughly enjoyed it

Surprisingly a few explicit sex scenes as well!!

For me, Bourne Ultimatum was not as good as the previous 2.

Oh, I'm a major Bourne fan, and it was a fine movie.

I just personally prefer the previous 2 movies.

Just saw Heartbreak Kid last night. Laughed my ass off. My date thought it was hilarious too, even the crude parts. Also liked Bourne III.

Rendition

Rendition

Excellent movie! Really thought-provoking; enjoyed it. Not too pro-American, not anti-American. Definitely not a shoot-em-up Chuck Norris cartoon.

Everyone in the movie, from the terrorists to the Americans, is shown as human, not cartoon caricatures. Everyone has their stated objectives, sure, and their human sides.

The terrorists have suffered grave personal losses and have been oppressed, yet they are easily manipulated by their leaders. Same too with the Americans (Jake Gylenhaal and Reese Witherspoon). They are trying to catch the terrorists, while at the same time realizing the horror of torturing an innocent man. And they also must deal with their stubborn, hawkish leaders.

Meryl Streep was excellent as the power-mad CIA director, a female version of Dick Cheney. Everyone in the Montreal theater laughed when she said the line, "The United States does not torture."

Two thumbs up from me.

Little Children (2006)

Just saw Todd Field's recent movie entitled Little Children. Interesting with a real-life atmosphere. Actors are well directed. Narrative and rhythm somewhat reminds me of Magnolia and late Robert Altman's Short Cuts but the comparison stops there.

Focused on individuals, couples and parental psychology. Also rehashes Madame Bovary thematic...

Not recommended if your idea of a chick flick is anything less violent than Saw 4 :D , otherwise a very well done and thought provoking peace of work.

I just saw Letters from Iwo Jima the other day. What an interesting concept. This was a companion movie to Flags Of Our Fathers (Flags Of Our Fathers was an excellent book by the way along with its sequel Fly Boys by Bradley). Letters of Iwo Jima is supposed to be from the Japenese POV. I am haunted by the mass suicides with grenades in the caves of Sarbachi.
