We've recently found out that it can also be easily transmitted sexually. It's only a matter of time before we hear of cases popping up in Canada, and many more will follow. Could it potentially destroy the sex business as we know it now? Will it affect your hobbying? Is it making you afraid?

And in english http://www.cdc.gov/zika/

Zika virus is spread to people through mosquito bites. The most common symptoms of Zika virus disease are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting from several days to a week. Severe disease requiring hospitalization is uncommon.

Spread of the virus through blood transfusion and sexual contact have been reported.

so common protection is de rigueur...
well not different than HIV

Questions and Answers:Zika and Sexual Transmission

CDC said:
Can Zika virus be spread through sex?

What we know:

There is evidence that the Zika virus can be sexually transmitted by a man to his sex partners.
In the two cases of likely sexual transmission, both men had symptoms.
In one case, transmission occurred a few days before the man developed symptoms.
The virus is present in semen longer than in blood.

What we do not know:

We do not know how long the virus is present in semen in men who have had Zika.
We do not know if infected men who never develop symptoms can have Zika virus in their semen.
We do not know if infected men who never develop symptoms can transmit Zika virus through sex.
We do not know if a woman can transmit Zika virus to her sex partners.

How long can Zika virus live in semen?

We do not know how long the Zika virus is present in semen. One report found the virus in semen at least two weeks after symptoms of infection began. No follow up testing was done to determine when the man no longer had Zika virus in his semen.

Can a female sex partner transmit the Zika virus to her sex partners?

At this time, there is no evidence that women can transmit Zika virus to their sex partners.....

So the virus is present in semen. Does it mean that a gentleman who has the virus could potentially transmit it to his female partner via a blowjob?? And if so, does it mean that the infected female could potentially transmit it to her next male partner via saliva (if her previous infected lover came in her mouth and she didn't use mouthwash afterwards) during the next blowjob or through dfk???

Over 5000 pregnant Columbian women have Zika virus

More than 5,000 pregnant Colombian women are infected with the mosquito-borne Zika virus, the country's national health institute said on Saturday, as the disease continues its rapid spread across the Americas.

There are 31,555 cases of the disease in Colombia, the national health institute said in a epidemiology bulletin, among them 5,013 pregnant women. The disease has been linked to microcephaly, a condition marked by babies being born with an abnormally small head size that can result in developmental problems.

Much remains unknown about Zika, including whether the virus actually causes microcephaly. Brazil is investigating the potential link between Zika infections and more than 4,300 suspected cases of microcephaly.

If there is spread of the disease during the Olympics, we will know how communicable it really is.
