Random thought but how does everyone deal with fake people in their personal lives?

I feel lately I've been encountering a lot of fake ppl in my personal life. I've been trying out different activities & events to meet new people and I just find it's hard to find "real" people, down to earth humans.
I think the further away you move from big cities, the more "real" people you will encounter. Food for thought...

I think the pandemic has really changed how people interact with others. People are more wary of connecting with strangers. I've definitely noticed a big difference.. I think it also depends what type of events and what ''scene'' you're in. I quit the nightlife scene specifically because it was full of fake people who seemed cool on the outside but were actually judgemental social climbers. I have met really genuine people in the last few years and slowly rebuilt a social circle.

At the rate mods are locking threads for obscur reasons, or no reasons at all, makes me wonder where is the orientation of this site is heading to.

I mean, recently I have seen threads getting locked even though the comments were staying very civilized despite insistant disagreement. People kept making their point without crossing any limits or falling in the distespect zone.Am I the only one who is confused about this way of ruling things?

Is debating has become a canceled thing?

nah they did the right move by locking it down before it got out of hand again tbh. When one of the « debaters » is literally going in other threads to bait the other one and cosplaying as an evil mastermind…sometimes you just have to stop it from escalating further. Also all the threads keep going in one direction that has no correlation with the intended subject..

I am all for open debate, no need to penalize everybody for the behaviour of one person, these situations can easily be handle by the mods, on a one on one intervention. We’ve seen it in the past.

Now it seems like at the slightest scent of controversy people seeks refuges behind a mod! They systematicaly feel threaten by anyone who dare to differ!

When I posted my comment, I knew I wouldnt get a lot of feed-back, if any. I will just add this to how I see things.

There is a Georgian proverb going like this:

""The sheep spent his life fearing the wolf but, in the end, its the sheppard who ate it!"

I don’t know if a debate is needed on a do you like bj sessions thread, that’s pretty much the point. Why does every thread turn into a discussion on if whores deserve rights…The forum keeps being brought up in conversations about legislation around sex work and it doesn’t paint a good picture of the industry and clients. No wonder mods are closing down threads, a good forum is regulated fortunetaly.

Anything can be subject for debate and discussion, thats why forums exist. It is supposed to be a space where the main activity is to exchange ideas with civil manners. I don’t think you understand what I wrote. Nowhere I suggested to cancel moderation.

That remain within the subject ? You can’t possibly be amused by the same debate that slither its way into every single thread to the point you want to cry about being persecuted by the mods lol. Maybe it’s a sign for you to find another place to conversate on.
You’re dancing around it but you’re specifically talking about the bj thread that was closed down. Why? Because people can’t remain on topic.

I didnt read the other thread but as I clearly said, and I will repeat just for you, this kind of issues can easilily be solved by a direct intervention by a mod, without feeling the need to delete an entire thread. Thats like killing a fly using an elephant hunting rifle!

Same thing as being off topic, mods used to delete posts that were off topic and send a notification to the concerned person.

As for me finding some other place to talk and debate, who the fuck you think you are? Your comment is so pointless and irrelevant that I cant see how you didnt realize it while writing it! Dont humiliate yourself like this, its very destructive for your self esteem.
