I'm fairly new to this board, and about to take my first trip to your fair city. In the USA where I live, both independent and agency escorts are more and more requiring some form of verification/background checks process before an appointment can be made. I havent encountered this in other countries, e.g. Brazil or Thailand, and I was just wondering if this process is typical of Montreal escorts/agencies.Should I expect to be asked for information about my employment when making appointments? Also wondering about best areas of the city to find a hotel especially if I dont have a car. I read thru the hotel forum but didnt run across info regarding best locations for easy access to the hobby scene. Would appreciate any info you can give me. In return I will post reports on my experiences there.

No, there is no filtering of which I'm aware by any agency in the city. I can't answer for independents. There don't seem to be nearly as many indies working as there were a few years back.
Most anywhere in the city. One agency, MTLGFE.com, specifically states the geographic boundaries within which they'll serve you without a travel surcharge. If you stay within their boundaries of their no-extra-charge zone, you'll be fine.
1. Verification not used by most outcall agencies, outcall is legal in Montreal
2. For a first time visitor I would recommend bidding on a hotel in the Priceline designated City Center/Downtown zone.
You have not indicated exactly what it is you want to do, so nobody will be able to provide more specific info unless you do.
Thanks to both Rumple and Eager for your quick responses. What I plan to do is utilize an agency or two, and perhaps visit a couple of strip clubs. Other than that just typical tourist stuff, good food, perhaps the art museum, or any other sightseeing worth doing. I will only have between 2-4 days there, depending on flight availability. (this is a last minute decision)
For that agenda I would stay at the Sheraton or a City Center/Downtown area hotel which puts you close to strip clubs like Wanda, Chez Paree and Le Club Downtown. The Sheraton is your best bet there.
If museums and history is you thing, stay in Old Montreal. I like the Intercontinental a lot, and the Hyatt is not far from Old Montreal.
I would stick with one of the well reviewed agencies here on MERB, MTLGFE is one mentioned by Rumples but there are at least a half dozen others including Montreal XXXtase & sister agency Delight, Eleganza, Montreal Sex City, Satin Dreamz, Asservissante and a few others....and if you want to go high end FKS.
For food check out the New Montreal Restaurant Thread. Last trip I ate at a couple of good restaurants in Old Montreal but there are many all over Montreal. I prefer Asian cuisines and there a number of good Asian restaurants in Montreal.

Good guess. I have made several trips to Rio, just didnt have the time or money to go this fall, and thought Montreal would be a good bet for a short trip. Good Girls is one agency I was considering, based on reviews from another site. Thanks for confirming it as a good choice.

No background checks will be asked by agencies here, but possibly some Indies would. Stay anywhere downtown and you will not have to worry about outcall to your hotel.
