2009-2010: FAILED to make playoffs
2010-2011: FAILED to make playoffs
2011-2012: FAILED to make playoffs
2012-2013: Made playoffs...in a SHORTENED SEASON...and staged an historic EPIC COLLAPSE in game 7 of the FIRST ROUND to be ELIMINATED in HUMILIATING fashion
2013-2014: FAILED to make playoffs...YET AGAIN!

LOVE IT!!!!

The Leafs have not won a playoff round in more than 10 calendar years !

A big reason Toronto snuck in last season was Reimer's play. This year, Caryle throws him under the bus and Leaf fans do this ...

James Reimer's wife attacked on Twitter by Leafs fans

But one thing is almost certain: THE DETROIT RED WINGS WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AND THE NEXT FIVE YEARS WILL BE PURE HELL FOR THEIR FAN BASE

A very amusing prediction from March 13.

Oddly, however, it proved to be incorrect, as the Wings have now clinched their 23rd consecutive season to make the playoffs (with 4 Cups and 2 other Finals so far in that streak), while the leafs have FAILED to add to their one single solitary playoff appearance in the past DECADE and have extended THEIR streak of 47 YEARS without even making it to the Finals (let alone the absurd leaf pipe dream of EVER again winning a Cup).

That is a good start Rev, but something tells me that night when the " deadthings " miss the dance is gonna be a meltdown for the ages! Stay tuned my friend!

"deadthings"? Well, for the 23rd consecutive season, they did NOT miss the dance. As usual however the LEAFS did. Kinda makes you wonder WHICH of those two teams is "dead", doesn't it?

2nd preseason games 2nite, LEAFS get another point, scabs, well, not so much as they fall badly to the hated and BIG Bruins.......not a good yr ahead for the smallish scabs lol :D

Another typical prediction from a leaflover.

I guess they brag early because they know they can NEVER brag at the end of the season. In fact they usually disappear from the hockey threads as soon as the inevitable LEAF COLLAPSE begins.

Look behind you.
Another shitty year for the Oilers. I plan to have the Oilers as my pallbearers so they can let me down 1 more time.

Look behind you.
Being an Oiler fan I normally do not post against other teams but saw this on facebook. Toy recall ( Dion Phaneuf action figure ). Total choking hazard.

I guess brandon shanahan and steve WHY could care less about the integrity of the game as long as they remain buddies, what a joke shanahan has become.

Will you still be calling Shanny "a joke" when he becomes President of the leafs...or will he MAGICALLY become your latest hero?

The Panthers played the leafs 4 times this season. The Panthers won 3. 'Nuff said, as the expression goes.

Leafs = no skill, no guts, no pride - ZERO!

Brendan Shanahan joins Leafs

Brendan Shanahan is leaving his job as NHL disciplinarian to become the Toronto Maple Leafs' president, the team announced Friday.

He will begin his new role immediately.

News broke Wednesday that the Leafs had communicated interest in Shanahan for a potential job. A source told ESPN.com on Thursday that talks had intensified between the Leafs and Shanahan over the previous 48 hours and that, barring a last-minute hiccup, a deal would get done.

The Leafs were eliminated from postseason play earlier this week, missing the playoffs for the eighth time in the past nine seasons.

Shanahan, 45, was an eight-time All-Star and three-time Stanley Cup champion in 23 NHL seasons. He has worked in the NHL's head office since 2009. Shanahan was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame last year.

The Leafs are still expected to suck.

Quite true.

Not only that, but the leafs have been so bad and so gutless for 47 YEARS that they never even made it to the Finals.

And yet every year without fail their brainwashed fans, who know almost nothing about hockey, start off by bragging about how great the leafs will be and how the other teams all suck. And THEN every year without fail these same fans, who were constantly bragging at the start of the season, VANISH at the end when they belatedly realize that their joke of a team has FAILED yet again.

A Fitting End to a Pathetic Season for the Worst Franchise in Sports

Quite appropriately, the toronto maple leafs - the most pathetic franchise in all of professional sports - ended its typically miserable season by putting in its usual unskilled and gutless performance to be shut out by the Sens.

The misery is over for the leafs and their hockey-challenged fans...at least until the NEXT season of hopelessness and failure begins. And as always, at the START of the season, the leaflovers will be posting incessantly about how great their team is...until, as ALWAYS, the truth inevitably sinks in and the delusional fans will run and HIDE from any and all hockey threads.

We've all heard of Groundhog Day...but for the woeful leafs and their Koolaid-drinking fans, it's now almost Groundhog Half Century - just 3 years to go until that milestone of ineptitude is reached!

No Guts and No Pride

As each NHL season draws to a close, the teams are trying their best to gain playoff position and to end on a high note. It's about guts, pride, stamina, skill and sacrifice.

Well...for TWENTY-NINE teams at least! But for the hopeless and embarrassing toronto maple leafs, this KEY part of the season is all about taking it easy on the ice and making sure that their golf clubs are ready to go.

Toronto LOST an incredible TWELVE of its LAST 14 games, thereby confirming that it's a team with no skill, no guts and no pride...and also confirming that it has nothing but contempt for its rapidly declining number of fans.

Why oh why is this TRAVESTY of a franchise allowed to stay in an otherwise excellent NHL? Kick the bums out!

Quite true SK. In fact people with A LOT of time could read all 148 pages and see how the posts of the now-vanished leaflovers have constantly been proven to be laughably incorrect.

Well maybe the first part should read: GONE leafs GONE?

As for the second part: Were you referring to the team that won the Presidents' Trophy (1st in the league) while the "gone leafs gone" came 23rd?
