At least the Leafs have a future. The Dead Things' only future is out of the playoffs for years to come.
The Canadians WILL NOT make the playoffs this season unless some major changes come soon by that AHL gm named Bergervin.
if things persist the way they've gone, it's going to be a dogfight between the Habs, the Leafs and your Wings, in the stretch leading to the end of the season.
Just wait til the meltdown when the Deadthings miss the playoffs and the Leafs make it! You aint seen nothing yet my friend lol.
Bad hit on Paul Ranger tonight, hope he is ok but when a stretcher is brought out it is never a good sign. Prayers for PR.
Another typically inaccurate prediction - the hockey threads on MERB are filled with these classics of humor.
I think the Habs will do fine...but the Leafs will start at THEIR REGULAR time.
Golf course owners in Toronto were VERY surprised last year at their unexpected drop in income...although it DID rebound after a mere 7 playoff games.
THIS year, even though the end of the season is still months away, Toronto's golf course owners are ALREADY smiling and planning where to spend all that cash!
I hadn't realized the Leafs had lost so many games due to suspension. Now it better explains their current slump. I totally agree.
Detroit is a very bad team....extremely over-achieving. The only guy with courage got knocked out for a couple of months last night. Abdelkader. His great-grandfather served under Hitler. Anyways, he'll be out for a while and that useless european team will miss his presence dearly!
JC always being his sarcastic, negative self again!
Crawford is injured, so he couldn't play. On top of that, he's not that highly regarded around the NHL. He's lucky to be on a packed team and would be a 2nd string goalie on most of the other teams around the league. Heck, he won't even get a sniff for Team Canada, who'll prefer the likes of Price, Luongo and Fleury ahead of this bum!
It's Chicago's fault for not upgrading their goaltending during the off-season, like many other teams did. Now their 2nd stringer will be some bum named Lebarbara, whom they acquired from the lowly Edmonton Oilers. He's also terrible!
That's what happens when you give all your cap money to superstars like Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa, Duncan Keith, Patrick Sharpe and Brent Seabrook. You have nothing left for goaltending!
p.s. Name the only team to lose twice to the Florida Panthers this season.
Leafs took 4 out of 6pts on da west coast, Merci Beaucoup! Me is very happy these days!
The Leafs losing to boston was a learning experience for a very young team and they have come out strong this season and i think alot of that is because of that defeat. Good things come from bad things many times, and so be it. Nobody gave them a chance to even make a series out of it and they did. They are better because of that game 7 and that is how it should be.
