Hey Leafs: Don't Let the Door Hit Your Ass on the Way Out

Now it feels like the REAL playoffs are starting.

The first round had 15 respectable teams plus the biggest joke in professional sports.

The Leafs lucked out by having a 48 game season so they made the playoffs before their usual late-season collapse.

They saved that COLLAPSE for game 7... and it was an EPIC COLLAPSE of historic proportions.

Congrats to the Bruins and good riddance to the Leafs!

Now the second round will begin, with the crap eliminated, and the top-notch teams like the Wings, Hawks, Penguins doing what they do best: play AMAZING hockey!

22 consecutive years in the playoffs for the Wings - what a phenomenal record! Meanwhile the Leafs now have 46 YEARS of complete and utter failure but their brainwashed fans are having orgasms because the inept squad actually lucked out and made the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade - not that it mattered of course, as they had their EPIC COLLAPSE to blow their chance at actually making the second round - which would have been the upset of the century.

It bears repeating: Good riddance to the Leafs!

Congrats to Bruins who managed to almost lose it in OT in the 7th game to the world's biggest losers !
This team is good in playoffs although they often needs the complete 7 games in every round to move on

Oh well the Leafs can at least take pride in the individual trophies they are nominated for this year:

Art Ross, Richard, Hart, Lindsay, Vezina, Jennings, Norris, GM, Conn Smythe, Calder....OOPS - my mistake! The Leafs are NOT in the running for ANY trophies. (As usual for this sad sack collection of the world's biggest losers!)

The only award the Leafs are likely to win is the one that "captain" Dion Phaneuf wins by a landslide every year: MOST OVERRATED PLAYER IN THE ENTIRE NHL (as voted by the players themselves!)

Of course they can also take pride in the fact that their EPIC COLLAPSE in game seven will be remembered - and laughed about - forever!

Thanks Gentle. It's easy to overlook their accomplishment because they are ALWAYS in the playoffs (and often in the finals).

For the Wings, the Cup is the only achievement that really matters, while for the Leafs just finding the RINK is considered a major achievement!

Well at least, I think Leafs was able to match Boston's playoffs appearances this year.
Last time I checked it was around 66 or 67 times ? Isn't it ?

So they just have to pray that Mtrl doesn't make it for te next 17 years while their team goes in playoffs for those 17 straight years to match Habs record appearrance !

It is not a coincidence that Joe T. and his echo Ignarant, are both fanatical devotees of the Yankees and the Leafs, rich teams which specialize in epic collapses.
