I feel bad such a good guy as Jimmy Howard is stuck in sucky detroit........ Howard for Scivens? Might as well, old kenny holland wanted his man and got him, THE MONSTER! that turned out well......
Yeah, must be awful to be stuck in a WINNING hockey town. MUCH better to play in leafloserland where there are ZERO expectations and where you get to play golf early every year.

Gotta admit that taking on the Monstrosity wasn't wise - probably the only bad move ever made by the great Kenny Holland. It's NEVER right to take anyone who's been ruined by playing for the leafs.

I see that in the other hockey thread ig defines "youth" as mental weakness and lack of guts.
I see that he is also bragging about how great it is that the leafs LOST against the B's. Well, I agree with him on that: it's ALWAYS great when the leafs lose! Toronto is the best source of laughter in professional sports.

They were lucky last time but the way this team has been playing since last year, we could always be heading up to another big surprise.
Anyway, tonight I can't wait to see who wins between Detroit & Chicago.
Since I like both teams and I wanna see a long serie between them, it would be nice for Wings to even the score right at the start.
As for the Leafs ? nah ! talking about them at this point of the season is like living in the past.

Great game in Pitt last night, and Sid the Kid is just incredible. Best player in the game and not yet in his prime, hard to believe he at 25, has already played 7 seasons.
Meanwhile, the canadians "great one", Carey Price, was bound and determined to get an early start on his offseason to improve over the meltdown he had in the playoffs. Here is "red light" hard at work just yesterday....

Bravo Detroit! Way to go in showing the world how hockey is supposed to be played! (Maybe it helps that Detroit's captain is a total player who has courage and determination as well as world-class skill...unlike some COWARDLY, OVERRATED "captains" who got knocked out in round one and "led" their gutless squad to a MASSIVE COLLAPSE in game 7.)

Something just occured to me... wouldn't be great if Wings would go all the way to win the cup this year ?
That would put them at what 2-3 cup shy from the Leafs overall ?
That means it's highly probable that I see Wings beat Leafs 2nd overall wins of Stanley cups record in my lifetime.

Yeah, I bet he's pissed about it too, especially considering that the Wings are only up 2 games to 1 so far in the SECOND round of the playoffs (or, as it's known in Toronto, "the middle of golf season.")
Not sure since Ottawa will probably get away again with some dirty cheap shots to the Pens.
Betcha all the douches will want to see good 'real' players like with the Pens to get injured badly.
Anyway if OTT ever wins against Pens.... I hope Boston will kick their a$$ bigtime !
So far so good (despite the fact they took half of the season away), with the Wings taking the lead it makes these playoffs very interesting !
