Actually no, fired because he has done NOTHING since becoming the GM of the Lightning, unlike all the good Burke has done. Many say Burke was let go to soon and they were right as his only fault was telling everyone the team he took over was much better than ppl thought and he admitted he was wrong about that. Steve Why? is clearly not the brain you think he is, but with your dead thing homer glasses on all the time it does not surprise me you think he is so great lol.

Fired? Oh you mean like the leafs fired Burkie?

I'd love to reply but I'm laughing too hard to type - sorry. I'll just point out that typically I gave you a string of facts and typically you replied with ZERO facts, just 100% pure BS as usual.

Now please excuse me - I can't hold the laughter any longer. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.............

Thanks. Since you were so pleasant, I almost feel guilty in pointing out that your lack of reading skill again shows through, as you clearly misunderstood my post. Oh well, chalk it up to "IQ level of leaf fans".

Correct, it was NOT easy under the JFJ years but now, 2 studs in net With Bernier and Reimer, a much improved defense and added Paul Ranger to the roster and under 2 great defensive coaches Carlyle and Dave Farrish things have changed. Meanwhile the dead things are sporting out an iffy defense and a one punch in howard, not a 1-2 punch...who's that backup that now that he plays for detroit is so great? lol, homer.
Very true: just look at the leafs for proof.

Certainly not. It was also not easy under the four years of complete and utter failure with Brian Burke. In fact it has been "not easy" for 46 YEARS of dismal ineptitude for the worst franchise in all of professional sports, namely the hopeless and hapless maple leafs.

ROFL,, thats all you got? even you are smart enuf to know it does not happen overnight, and that like i said was Burkes #1 mistake, telling the media and fans it would not take long to get back to the playoffs. He even owned up to it and is a very good man and a good gm. He deserved more time in TO but i wish him well and am totally fine with Mr. Nonis in charge. Certainly beats having steve why? as a gm.... poor Tampa fans....sad

Here's another HOCKEY lesson for you, oh hockey-challenged one. In the JFJ years the leafs had 103 points (03-04), 90 (05-06), 91 (06-07) and 83 (07-08, with JFJ and Fletcher). In the BB years they had 81, 74, 85, 80. In fact JFJ teams did WAY better than Burke teams. Heck, JFJ's leafs even made the playoffs in 03-04 which is not only a freakin' MIRACLE for a leaf team but is also something your sainted savior Burkie could never do in his FOUR YEARS OF COMPLETE AND UTTER FAILURE.

Consider yourself schooled junior...one MORE time!

It was a response to your post, or are you too dim to understand even that simple concept?

Oh, and since this is a HOCKEY thread, here's a HOCKEY lesson: Gordie Howe of the Detroit Red Wings is known as Mr. HOCKEY, and Detroit is known as HOCKEYtown.

You're schooled yet again, junior.

Newsflash, you cant "school" someone when all you have is the same things to say over and over pretaining to Burkes so called failure... lol... he built this team that made the playoffs and is considered by many to be on the rise, and the farm that has some gems on the way soon.... if thats failure in your mind then clearly you should never be hired to run a company or manage others.

I think you should go BACK to "school" and learn a little about the game of hockey and not just watch it with red colored dead thing glasses on. It clearly takes time for the damage the JFJ years did... if you dont understand this (which likely you do but it is the only thing you can ever bring up, even tho we both no points in jfj's seasons and burkes seasons do not tell the true story) you should quit while you are waaaaay behind before you fall off the deep end, again. ;)

As usual, ZERO facts. And as for insulting the great Steve Yzerman, try coming up with a reason that actually makes sense and is not just your usual witless gasp of hot air. I gave you FACTS that show BB failed in TO. You've got nothing....except a hard-on for the biggest joke in the NHL, the ONLY team with 46 YEARS OF COMPLETE AND UTTER FAILURE.

You're fine with Nonis now...just like you were "fine" with BB and predicted success EVERY YEAR of his four there...only to see him FAIL every year of his four there! Pathetic!

Maybe you're right, but for the wrong reason. You can't school someone who's too illiterate and dim to be schooled. By the way, the word is "pertaining", not "pretaining". (Free lesson, junior.)

2 studs in net With Bernier and Reimer, a much improved defense.

Studs? Bernier and Reimer? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....

And if you want "a much improved defense" maybe you should start by dumping that pylon who wears the C.

I do give you props though for getting rid of Komi - you know, the same Komi that you were saying would be great when he first came to Hogtown? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha......
