I see you still haven't gotten over your fantasies ig. It's well documented on this very website and in your own posts that YOU are the one who introduced your favorite themes of cowboys, disco, and Village People to a freakin' HOCKEY thread! It's also well-documented in MY posts that I want you to stop fantasizing about me. Live your life as you wish, enjoy your cowboys and your disco music and your Village People, no problem and no judgments on your choice of lifestyle - but please, please, please leave me out of your thoughts and dreams.

What the HELL does the post I just quoted have to do with the HOCKEY post I wrote before this "response" of yours?

Leafs fans actually like Women, bub.

Thanks for clarifying: Your posting history in the hockey threads has usually indicated the opposite and maybe if you would stop constantly referring to your recurring themes (cowboys, VP, mirrors, etc) people would take your claim seriously. Good luck to you on that...and again, no disrespect intended towards whatever your lifestyle choices happen to be. Good luck and best wishes.

Same to you "Cowboy" or did you dress as the "cop" tonight  you dead things fans sure are a "funny" bunch tho ... in more ways than 1

1. I've repeatedly asked you to stop fantasizing about me but apparently you find it impossible. Can't you and your "friend" find other things to do together? (Again, no criticism of your chosen lifestyle, but please leave me out of it.)

2. "Dead things"? You know, I think I've also tried to educate you on this one, but I do realize that you're a very (VERY) slow learner, so I'll mention just a couple of key points. A. The great Red Wings have been in the playoffs for 22 consecutive years while the pathetic leafs have made the playoffs a laughable once (!!!) in the past decade. B. The great Red Wings have four Cups in the last decade and a half while the pathetic leafs haven't even made it to the finals in an abysmal 46 YEARS. 3. The great Red Wings lost to the eventual Stanley Cup champions in a courageous and highly skilled game 7 while the pathetic leafs made history with the most gutless and EPIC COLLAPSE in the history of NHL game sevens...and of course they went out in the first round. I could go on, but why bother? The plain truth is that if ANY team in professional sports should be called "dead things" it's the failure ridden joke called the Toronto maple leafs (aka Canada's National Embarrassment").

3. You ARE aware, I'm sure, that hockey's worst scandal ever involved your beloved leafs? You know: the maple leaf gardens sex scandals that are STILL an embarrassment to the sport even after all these years. But hey, you LIKE them, you really LIKE them...don't you?

4. I recall reading about Brian Burke's son but never about Kenny Holland's. How about you and your "friend"?

5. Maybe you could learn at least a LITTLE about hockey if you spent more time on HOCKEY and less on cowboys and disco. (Again, I'm not criticizing your chosen lifestyle, so please don't take it the wrong way. You have every right to live your life according to your personal preferences...but please stop trying to make "friends" who are not interested.)

6. This is a HOCKEY thread. The posts are supposed to be about HOCKEY, not your personal fantasies. How about making HOCKEY-related posts and HOCKEY-related responses? Time and again I have posted HOCKEY comments and your only response has been bullshit about cowboys and disco. Try responding with HOCKEY arguments and you might gain a little more respect. If you want to start a thread about cowboys or disco, please go ahead and do so. I'll make sure to ignore it and you and your "friend" can have a great time amusing yourselves together in it...but please keep the HOCKEY threads about HOCKEY.

GO LEAFS GO!

As usual you write SQUAT about hockey, just more of your fantasy world drivel. You're welcome to live your life as you please but I'm thanking Heaven I'm not like you and your "friend".

Please cut the shit and try writing about HOCKEY in this thread, and take your little fantasies elsewhere.

GO LEAFS GO!

What part of that ^ does not 100% have to do with hockey? Btw learn to read starting with the name of this thread there, CC ;)

Here is some more hockey for you...the Dead Things wont make the playoffs this season unless major injuries to some of those expected to make it. The dead things are old and will see some of their grampa's watching from the press box as they heal those old bones while other teams will pass them. You aint in the west anymore toto, good luck in the tough (minus the scabs) east now bub. :thumb:

(ok now you can cry because you did not like my hockey talk, ROFL!)

(ok now you can cry because you did not like my hockey talk, ROFL!)

On the contrary, I actually commend you for putting your fantasies aside and actually writing about HOCKEY in a HOCKEY thread - well done!

Unfortunately there was, as always, a total absence of fact, logic, or knowledge of the game...but at least you did talk about HOCKEY - again, well done!

You've proven for years that you know nothing about the sport. Way back when Burkie was first brought in as savior (ha ha ha...HA HA HA), you bragged about how the leafs would terrorize the league, how your new savior would turn things around, how (after a year or so) it was now "Burke's team"...and of course "Burke's team" NEVER even made the playoffs in the four years he helmed it.

You praised players like Komi, Connelly, and every other stiff who came to your wretched organization...only to look completely foolish when they inevitably crapped out.

You pleaded "Do NOT trade Versteeg" but when he WAS traded you praised the move. Unbelievable!

When the Hawks won the Cup a couple of years ago, you predicted Philly would take them down while I correctly called a Hawks win.

THIS year, a couple of games into the final you said "The Hawks won't win another game" Close...except it was the BRUINS who never won another game, as the Hawks took ALL 3 (!!!!!) after your asinine prediction and won the Cup.

All you've ever done is brag about how the leafs are gonna dominate and all they've ever done is sucked.

In the season that just ended you were talking about how the Wings were old and wouldn't make the playoffs but as usual they did and of course they did better in the playoffs than your gutless leafs.

Read your posts and see how wrong, wrong, wrong you've consistently been. Apart from blurting out childish unoriginal insults and spitting out bragging that you can't back up with facts or intelligence and that NEVER comes true, you can't do squat (sorta like your beloved heroes).

But...I'll give you your props again: Even though as usual you said absolutely NOTHING that was intelligent, it was at least about HOCKEY - well done!

Oh and by the way: the Wings are a relatively YOUNG team with a few older STARS ...so as usual your hockey Ignorance is showing.

Wait till the end of the coming season and see if you're still bragging...or if you're scurrying off with your tail between your legs as usual while your beloved heroes are again getting an early start on golfing season and the Wings are again contending for the Cup.

Thanks for proving my point yet again with a post that typically contains ZERO factual information and absolutely nothing but loudmouthed, pointless bragging and predictions that - as always - will never come true.

Then, to top it off, you write in your usual ungrammatical, barely literate style and repeat your childish, totally inaccurate, and completely unoriginal "dead things" insult. Even kids in kindergarten show more progress, more originality, and more wit. They probably also know more about hockey than you do...not that that would be very difficult, since your hockey knowledge is about as deep as your knowledge of spelling and grammar.

In your defence, however, your very limited intelligence and complete lack of common sense are probably the main factors contributing to your inability to understand even the simplest concepts. I try not to be too critical of you because I truly do pity you and wish you only the best - after all, it must be VERY difficult being you, so you do have my sympathy. Best wishes to you and your "friend".

*Hey, the Dead Things are old in places FACT

*The Dead Things lost players, good ones, and replaced them with only a older and declining Alfie and a injury riddled Weiss..FACT

*The Dead Things are a soft team compared to most of the east and will be tested nightly when they go against the bigger and more physical eastern conference teams... FACT

CC,

*The Dead Things lost players, good ones, and replaced them with only a older and declining Alfie and a injury riddled Weiss..FACT

*The Dead Things are a soft team compared to most of the east and will be tested nightly when they go against the bigger and more physical eastern conference teams... FACT

The first "fact" - maybe, maybe not. We'll see. I remember a guy named Lemieux who seemed to do okay even when he was "older" and even when he was "injury riddled". I think his first name was Mario.

The second "fact" - pure BS. The east is EASIER than the west and has been for some time. Of course, the east will now be tougher for the OTHER teams now that the Wings are coming.

And by the way, oh illiterate one, the correct initials are JC not CC. But why don't you just call me Sir - it'll be easier for you to remember and it will convey the proper respect that you should always show to your betters.

Good luck on the upcoming season, when you're GUARANTEED to extend your record to 47 YEARS of complete and utter failure.

But hey : well done on actually writing about HOCKEY in a Hockey thread. We very seldom see you do that, so even if it's BS it's still a gigantic leap forward in your attempt at progress. So, once again, well done!

The east may be easier for the dead things when they play florida, montreal, buffalo and that weak tampa bay team (steve Y should be fired after this season if he even makes it that far) but come time to play the big tough teams like Boston, Toronto, Philly and the Rangers just to name a few, good luck :thumb:

Funny, i was thinking the same about when the Leafs play that old and soft team from that dirty rotten horrible cesspool of a city they play in called detroit. They should move that team to Quebec City! :thumb:

Luck will not be required against Toronto but thanks for the thought.

Move it wherever you want - it'll still be the best-run organization in the NHL.

The leafs meanwhile should be moved OUT of the NHL (where they do not belong) and OUT of Canada (where they are a National Embarrassment to an otherwise great country).

Look behind you.
Sure glad some of you do not follow ( or care ) about some teams in the west. My Oilers after many years with a first round draft pick really suck. Anyways, keep on beating each other up on the east coast for favorite teams and the Oilers will slowly slink into a playoff spot, ok well maybe.

STN,

I dont think the Oilers will make the playoffs this year, but within 2-3 season they should. They need defense and goaltending, it is not easy to make w/o those 2 things.

steve Y should be fired after this season if he even makes it that far

Fired? Oh you mean like the leafs fired Burkie?

Since you raised the issue, let's compare Stevie and Burkie.

Best GM of the Year - Burkie lobbied for the creation of this award because his gigantic ego hoped that he would win it. Of course Burkie was never even nominated (the voters weren't crazy!). Stevie Y., not surprisingly, was a FINALIST for the award in his FIRST year as a GM.

First year as GM in Detroit and Toronto - Stevie Y. took a team that hadn't made the playoffs the 3 previous seasons and they easily glided into the playoffs. Burkie MISSED the playoffs, as he did for EVERY SINGLE YEAR of his 4 year stay as Toronto's GM.

Points in First Two Years as GM in Detroit and Toronto - Stevie had 103 and 84, while Burkie had 81 and 74.

Head-On Comparisons - In 2010-2011 (Stevie's first year as GM and Burkie's third) Stevie had 103 points and Burkie (with "Burke's team" - ha ha) had 85. In 2011-2012 (Stevie's second year and Burkie's fourth and LAST), Stevie had 84 points and Burkie (with |Burke's team" - DOUBLE ha ha!) had 80.

No comparison at all - any and every way you look at the FACTS, Stevie is a way better GM than Burkie was. Yet you're calling for Stevie to be fired while you praised Burkie to the skies before, during and after his four years of complete and utter failure as GM of the leafs.

As usual you're totally clueless about hockey - which I guess explains why you're a leaf fan.

Actually, the great fans up in QCity deserve better than a old and declining dead things team, heck even the panthers would be better for them than the "things"
