I agree with Reverdy. It was an embarrassing performance (again!) by the lowly Red Wings, who once again proved that they are a team in decline. A team that has lost several of its core players from the past, which haven't been replaced. You replace the likes of a Lidstrom & a Holmstrom with an Alfredsson?? Really Kenny boy??
The very average Jimmy Howard was pulled extremely early when he allowed 3 goals on only 8 shots. I expect this will happen more frequently this season. Get used to the Monster, Red Wings fan. Beware, beware, beware!
On another note, Ottawa came to Detroit ready to play & was lead by their captain, Jason Spezza. Mr. Alfredsson will regret leaving his beloved Senators for the declining Red Wings, who are the hockey personification of the Detroit economy. Sad.
