True, so how do you explain the LEAFS winning?
Don't worry: the question will soon be void, since a crappy team like the leafs (outshot in 5 of the 7 games they've played so far and outPLAYED in at least 4 of them!) won't keep "winning" for long.
Same as last season, the thing is most of the shots come from the outside by design by the defensive coaching and the style they implement. Next? LOL!
As far as keep winning, you sure hope not or you will have no choice but to get your entertainment looking into the "mirror" ewwwwwwww :lol:

I hate to admit it but I feel sorry for the leafs: a guy like Bernier should ALWAYS be on the bench. LA had the right idea: let an NHL caliber goalie win us a "Quick" Cup and keep the CAREER BACKUP on the bench where he won't do us any harm until we can find some GM dumb enough to take him off our hands.

Gee, ain't it funny how things can change in only 5 days? Zetterberg and Datsyuk are now tied for 2nd in the league in scoring. Phil? He's WAY out of the top 10.
Let's compare Pav and Phil: Both played 8 games. Both have 6 assists. Pav has 4 goals, Phil 2. Pav has 10 points, Phil 8. Pav has 2 game winning goals, Phil 1. Pav is plus 7, Phil plus 2. Pav has a winning faceoff percentage, Phil says "Let someone else take the faceoffs." Pav has hits, Phil says "I don't hit. I slash and I spear but don't ever ask me to hit." Pav is also the best defensive forward in the NHL, Phil says "I don't do defence. I'm a sniper - can't you tell that from the TWO goals I scored this year?" Pav has a better shooting percentage. Pav's team has won four in a row, Phil's has lost one in a row. Pav's team just beat the previously undefeated Avs, Phil's team just lost to the (ha ha) Canes. Pav had two goals and one hit in his team's win and was named second star, Phil had NO points, NO hits, and NO star selection.
Oh and by the way, the Monster (formerly known as the Monstrosity) had a .950 save percentage in this game for his third straight victory.

James Norris Memorial Trophy
The Norris Trophy is awarded each year to the NHL's outstanding defenceman. Bobby Orr won it 8 times. Nick Lidstrom and Doug Harvey each won it 7 times. Other great winners included Ray Bourque, Paul Coffey, Scott Niedermayer, Chris Pronger, Pierre Pilote, Al MacInnis, Chris Chelios, Zdeno Chara, Larry Robinson, Red Kelly, etc. A pretty impressive list!
But by all means, let's not forget all those great TORONTO DEFENCEMEN who won the Norris! Oops, sorry - my mistake! In the entire history of the NHL, NO Toronto defenceman has EVER won the Norris! Now THAT is a truly remarkable achievement...even for Canada's National Embarrassment.
