It is going to be an amazing weekend watching these matches.

I feel that France is a good team but they were lucky because Argentina has a very weak defense and Mbappe humiliated them with his speed and that’s the only reason they won. It is going to be hard against Godin and co when they face Uruguay. Uruguay is too good at doing tactical fouls. That’s why I think France will lose against Uruguay.

But anyways all the matches are going to be exciting.

Uruguay’s defense is stout. By my count, they’ve given up only one goal in this WC. But France’s got too many offensive weapons. That’s why I think they will prevail. A tremendous matchup that’s so much more compelling than against Argentina.

So far behind I doubt even a late rally will help me much, but here goes:

Uruguay 0 - France 1
Brazil 2 - Belgium 1
Sweden 0 - England 1
Russia 0 - Croatia 1

Rumour is Cristiano Ronoldo may be heading to Juventus.

Apparently he is not happy that both Messi and Neymar are earning more $$$ than him and Real was more concerned with trying to acquire Neymar than compensaing their star's ego.

Lol ... maybe, but ManU is the more typical "rumour," i.e. bargaining chip ... when a star player like Ronaldo wants a renogiated contract. He did that before .... using ManU, I mean.

CR7 will go to Miami in 2 years. Want a bet a nice bottle of Sancerre on it?

Cheers,

If David Beckham is involved in the recruitment and I think he will be it’s a done deal:

Ronaldo will like Miami. Great escort scene down there. All he has to do is go to pool or Bar at Fountainbleau, and he will hook up with enough girls in one night to bang all season. I know guys who are small time Ronaldos who have done it and of course Giancarlo Stanton who is on par with Ronaldo in baseball. Stanton didn’t have to move, all the action came to him.

Sounds like it could really be happening, CR to Juv ... but can't see PSG losing both Neymar & Mbappe, maybe the former. We'll see ...

You may be right , although I think CR has a much bigger ego than that and he considers going to the US as an elephant going to his burial ground.

So did Pele, Chinaglia, Beckenbauer, Beckham, Henry, all those guys had massive egos and came to the USA and won championships and the adoration of many.

CR is still near the top of his game, too good for MLS. The Juventus money, if correct, would seem to confirm that ....

I am not a big fan of Ronaldo, however, I will grant him the title of sportsman/true gentlemen of WC 2018 for helping out injured Cavani walk out the playing field...in one of the more memorable images from WC 2018!

Cavani is well liked as a football player by his peers and Ronaldo's gesture exemplified respect towards the great Cavani!

Looks like Cavani will be on the sideline Friday... That gives somekind of an advantage to France...

Yeah unfortunately the chances of Cavani playing against France even as a sub on the bench are almost nil!...It's a big advantage for France!

It's unfortunate because he is truly one of those players that consistently plays with pain as a result of being marked so closely by opposing teams. I have seen it first hand during his stardom days for Napoli in the Italian League!...Yet he takes it like a man and does not roll over like a dog playing tricks!

I can't imagine the pain he was in when he was forced to come out of the game against Portugal!

Thought he was helping Cavani walk out faster to speed up time !!

Thanks for taking this thread back from the media-manipulated sheep. Ronaldo CLEARLY was respectfully rushing Cavani off the field. It is obvious as the sun rising in the morn:

https://twitter.com/FOXSports/statu...-edinson-cavani-walk-off-field-194306719.html

Note that as soon as Cavani was off the pitch, Ronaldo was hustling back in game mode; there were no kisses and petting, no goodbye hugs. Also it's obvious that the brisk walk was hurting Cavani.

It's appalling that some are eating up the media narrative drivel as if back in mommy's babychair getting spooned Gerber baby bananas LOL.

On another note, Neymar might win the best actor in a leading role for this tournament !
