...et autre victoire vs l'une des puissances de la ligue.....encourageant.....TAVARES is on fire..... :) .
The coaching staff has been nothing short of amazing considering all the major injuries they’ve had to deal with all season long. Is this the year Sheldon Keefe adds a Jack Adams to his coaching resume?

Great comeback win by the Oilers against the overrated Rangers! 4-3 win in regulation after they were down 3-0 in the third! Go Oilers!

Leafs win again! This time badly outplaying the Penguins on the road by a score of 4-1. 43 shots on net & the Leafs rested Matt Murray since he played in Minnesota yesterday. Their #4 goaltender Kalgren was the winning goalie. He didn’t have to face as many shots but did the job when needed.

Mitch Marner, who’s been the Leafs best player this season & possibly the NHL’s top two-way player had a goal & an assist & has a 16-game points streak going. What a talent! The Buds next play in Detroit on Monday & the two-time Stanley Cup winner Matt Murray is expected to get the start. Go Leafs Go!

Agree with MARNER...un joueur toujours menaçant et oui top two-way player....i watched the game....parfait contrôle et jeu d'ensemble remarquable....un échec -avant constant ..ont bien protégé leur jeune gardien qui a bien répondu...bref une belle/solide victoire.

The Leafs are in Detroit tonight against a very much improved Red Wings team. Marner is going for his 17th consecutive game with a point. The Leafs record is 18 held by Leafs great Darryl Sittler & Ed Olcyk. Marner may be the best player in the NHL right now. He’s scoring at a 120 pts per season pace & is one of the penalty killers in the league. He’s also occasionally played defence this season & has become a leader on this team.

The Leafs now have 4 players among the league’s top 20 in scoring.

The great Matt Murray will be back between the pipes & the last time these two original six teams met it turned into a high scoring game. Go Leafs Go!

Leafs are leading 4-1 after two periods. Detroit pulled their starting goalie after the 4th goal. This is the second consecutive game against the Leafs that they pulled the starting goalie. Marner is now one point away from tying the franchise record by scoring the Leafs’ third goal. Mathews, Nylander & Sandin have the other tallies. Nylander has been the Leafs’ most consistent player this season (along with Tavares) and is having a career season. What a bargain!

By the way which active NHL coach has the highest winning percentage of coaches that have coached a minimum of 100 games? Sheldon Keefe. He’s coached brilliantly this season in having the Leafs 4th overall in the NHL standings while doing it with long-term injuries to both his starting goalies & his top four defencemen. Great job by the entire coaching staff!

Has anyone noticed that 23 year old Jason Robertson has quietly taken over the NHL goal scoring lead from McDavid? And is second in points to McDavid, just 3 behind. He has 19 goals and has led Dallas to 1st place in the Central division. He is also a competitor with Nick Suzuki for best player of Asian descent in the NHL.

His younger brother Nick plays for the Leafs. Great offensive talent but unfortunately he doesn’t have the size his brother has. In his first game this season he played against Dallas & their parents were in Toronto to watch their sons play against one another. Nick scored two goals & was named the game’s first star. He’s had trouble staying in the lineup mostly because of his defensive lapses. Leafs fans love him & wish he’d be in the lineup more.

Indeed they’re of Filipino descent. Their mother is Filipino & their father is of Irish descent. They were born in California but moved to Michigan at a younger age in order to play competitive hockey at a higher level. Every time that the Leafs are considering a trade they always get asked about Nick Robertson’s availability. But the Leafs still consider him as an untradeable commodity since they believe he’ll become a heck of a player once he develops & learns to play better defensively.
