Kreider accused of tampering:
Isn't this a breach of contract situation?
No. There’s nothing in his contract that prevents him from being truthful about himself or what’s bothering him. He’s free to say whatever he wants. If the Rangers are bothered that he’s too open to the media then it’s an internal matter & they need to have a discussion. However it could be a breach on the part of the Rangers if they end up trading him & it turns out he’s damaged goods & they didn’t fully disclose his health condition to the other team. By the way I can’t blame Kreider for doing this since it’s obvious that at this point in his career that he doesn’t feel like relocating his family & would rather stay put with the team he’s always played with. The Rangers should have been more discreet about they’re willingness o trade him if they didn’t want to piss him off! Now Drury has pissed everyone off! The player, his teammates, his coach & the fan base! Lol

IMO .....QUENNEVILLE would b the right coach at the right place with the NYR.....un bon mixte de vétérans et de jeunes.....et des vétérans qu'il faut bien gérer.

I wouldn't mind if Laviollette was fired in order to hire Quenneville, in the same fire and hire/addition by subtraction power play that the Blues staged to hire Montgomery. The Rangers need to act quickly before some other organization gets the same idea.

That usually never happens in the NHL. The GM fires the coach first and usually not himself when things are going badly.
True but it does happen more often than we think. Teams like Pittsburgh, Montreal, Toronto, Tampa, Philly & the Rangers come to mind of more recent examples when this happened. But often when a GM is fired mid-season the coach also is included.

The Rangers gave up 39 shots. Their defense has been way too porous. Even against Montreal, the shots were even most of the game. It's been very disappointing to say the least. The most likely change I see is with the head coach. Trades are also likely, for some better defensive pieces.

The problem with the Rangers isn’t the coach. It’s the same problem the Islanders & the Predators have. They are a slow, aging team & they’ve been able to kick the can over the past year or two because they have one of the top goalies in the world who used to steal games for them. But he’s been ordinary this season. Maybe the fact he has no contract next season has been preoccupying him. Maybe he’d rather be playing elsewhere which is why he’s come out with an outrageous contractual demand to stay with the Rangers. Maybe other teams have begun to figure him out. Anyways the Rangers are no longer scaring anyone especially when the entire league is aware at how dysfunctional they’ve become internally.

These pre-game memorials must be getting very hard on the family. Maybe it’s time to move on.

The Leafs are playing like the best team in hockey right now. You expect them to win every time they’re playing. They are a very well balanced team with a very good defence that is hard to play against & have possibly the top goaltending tandem in the league. They don’t have many holes in the lineup & although they’ve recently had their share of injuries the replacements have stepped up admirably. At one point recently they had 7 regulars out of the lineup but still found ways to win the game. The top 4 players (Matthews, Marner, Nylander & Tavares) have done their job with Tavares & Marner playing their best hockey in years! So good in fact that Matthews’ 11-game absence was barely noticeable. I’m extremely impressed with the job the coaching staff led by Craig Berube, Marc Savard & Lane Lambert have done. But the MVP of the coaching staff might be goalie coach Curtis Sanford!

Well it’s not something they can say no to.
Of course they can! Its not as if they owe anything to the league or the teams organisation. It is very common for families to ask for their privacy be respected during such hard emotional times. We see this all the time.
