The vast majority of my bookings in Montreal were by text message or email..on Canadian burner phone with Canadian email....so you don't know what you are talking about. I even have a fake Facebook account that lives in Canada. Once the booking is made the rate is locked. This is SOOOO stupid. You have completely lost your minds. I agree, it's a good time to have laws on food like in Europe. Ban some additives that are cancerigen or cause addiction. Limit salt, saturated fat and sugar in restaurant. Bye to many american fast food (and some canadian). Better health for us. The only reason we never adopted those laws was because we tried to be a good ally and do like them.

Carney was Trudeau's economic advisor for 5 years, look at Trudeau's record under 9 years of Liberal policies, a housing crisis, record food bank usage, doubled down on debt. Carney is Trudeau 2.0 but on steroids.
Carney is taking ideas from Poilievre's playbook like scrapping the carbon tax and scrapping the capital gains hike and the only reason he is doing is to get elected. But his plan is to put a new hidden carbon tax that is higher.

He will add restrictions and implement environmental charges directly to industries and imports from countries that got no climate change reduction policies in place which as you know the extra costs will be passed on to the customer. His website also states he has no plans to remove restrictions and surcharges for climate change. It is indeed sneaky. You also raved about the carbon tax rebate, another trick used by Trudeau to dupe people. Carbon Tax Carney is just playing with words and renaming things and applying the carbon tax in a different way to trick people to get elected.
You also mention about the security clearance, why does Trudeau not release the names of the MPs involved in foreign interference?

Facts matter he got just under 50 percent of the vote. The 2nd most votes in history. Every swing state, the popular vote, and every single demographic in the country showed a gain in votes. He did better, outperformed in 100 percent of every district compared to 2020.
This little tiff will be resolved shortly and we can all get back to normal and have fun.

For decades canada has charged the US higher tariffs than we have on them, perhaps the most egregious being dairy products
Yet we did not boo the Canadian national anthem, throw tantrums, or make calls for canadian tourists to be charged anything extra
Nor were there any Canadian citizens making super cringe statements of how sorry they were or how embarassing it was to be Canadians
Why would that be?
Because anybody with a a somewhat functional brain understood that canada was doing that to protect their businesses and farms, and thats what canada should do, any country should do
And that includes the US! Trump is doing what he is supposed to do by putting America first in what he believes is the proper way, its tough to see entire swaths of towns just disappear along with the factories/companies that supported them, tons of family farms fold, cities like detroit decimated, mostly due to unfair trade practices, makes sense for us to try to balance things out a bit, just as it makes sense for canada to do what they did

Protectionism is bad for the customer because it limits competition and protects certain markets and sectors. The dairy cartel should be removed, it is designed to protect the dairy producers in Canada to keep the prices higher. The CRTC has the same mentality to keep competition out, the result is the highest telecommunication prices in the world in Canada. The best thing to do for the customer is to remove tariffs, trade barriors, restrictions, no carbon taxes. Open market free trade creates competition and that stimulates innovation and gets a better product at a lower price. Win win for the customer. See, Canada decided to impose tariffs on EVs from China because they were able to offer the same thing if not better at a lower price. In protecting manufacturers in Canada, the customer no longer has access to lower priced EVs. Who pays? The customer and the business profits. I mentioned this in another thread, China now retaliated by imposing tariffs on Canadian exports, everyone was silent. Another thing Canada wants to do is put tariffs or ban tires from Asian countries because the prices are too low.
