My question to gentlemen : how long does it take you to decide to book a specific provider? I know that for example, when looking on leolist, clients are looking for something quick and easy.. But I've noticed that many clients take their time to book an indy. What determines your decision? What are some things that convince you, and what are some deal breakers for you?
Not being a frequent flyer, it can take weeks to do so.
Looking for reviews is key, I've almost been scammed on one occasion, so if I can't find reviews for an SP, I don't proceed with introductions.
Rate matters, a balance between not too cheap (scary) and not too pricey - as I'm not able to sum up hidden $$ so easily.
When there are good reviews on the general behavior and services, body features seem right, then I try to engage into conversation to see if there's a fit between services and experience desired.

I'm saying that, and on the other hand, I only had one real appointment with a good indy so far.. but that's how it worked well and cleared the other less fortunate events I had before. And this is how I'm currently processing my next windows of opportunity coming up soon.

Now, I wonder.. how different it is / would be with agencies vs indy!?

Depends, what kind of appointment did you have with the indy; 1 hour, or a dinner date? Were you looking for a specific service (e.g. fetish, role play, etc.) or a simple GFE session?
Personally not for a dinner date, more of a 1hr session or so.
Prefer to build some kind of rapport with one SP over time. Even if not frequent, I feel that trust and history build for better together time when it happens. Even if it's only from my perspective/perception - as I wouldn't expect an SP to remember all of us.
A bit of role play, in the attitude and discussions, if it's to help getting the guy up.
The rest depends on the connection and available services.
Based on this, how similar or different can it be between agency and indy?
I think I kinda know/guess, but would like to get other's perspective on the subject.

Around the corner
I think you're giving him too much credit here! First overnight or not, any decent human being knows that people need to eat. There's no world in which it's gentlemanly, or even ok and normal, to spend 8-16 hours with someone without so much as offering to eat at some point. This isn't escort etiquette it's just decency and common sense... Im sorry you experienced this :(
I totally agree. I bring snacks even to a 90 minute session lol.
The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach holds true for a woman also.
There are SP who love having someone bring some of their favourite food or snacks to a session it improves everyone’s appetite and you both get to eat what you like best ;)

I am returning to this after 20 years, but what is DATO? Been trying to find a search on this acronym and others, but it just frustrates me. Thanks

An Indy is usually more comfortable and there can be better communication at times. I had an experience last year with an agency where they called to verify the address, I kept saying the address and they kept repeating a slightly different address. I then text the address also and this was the same address they had sent 2 other people to so there has been no change in address on my part. Then after doing everything I could they still send the person to my neighbor's place. I feel bad for the provider. Plenty of providers don't love the job but getting sent to a neighbor's address and like 4 women coming to the door must be irritating on multiple levels for the provider. Every provider whether it be agency or Indy is different. I hope the SP I saw is feeling better now.

Remember that ideally you follow all protocol for booking for that specific provider with Indies as there is more variation in booking with Indies but that's not a bad thing. I highly recommend seeing an Independent provider at some point. I hope for the sake of providers that I didn't misspeak about any of this. I'm not a provider so I find I sometimes make errors on this topic without realizing it.

Dining-at-the-Y/O is one of the funniest acronyms in the English language and who ever came up with it is an absolute legend. The ones I get confused on are Russian/Italian/Roman (everytime I see one I have to look it up again).

When the incall is your personal place, isn't it bothersome that you can't have too much personal things? I would assume that you wouldn't want to have too much information regarding your personal life shared.

I received from home for a long time. It was an impulsive decision that I made under constraints. I didn't have access to an incall space at first.. I only started renting an incall in 2024, by the hour. I still had to receive from home until last April.. I decided to take a leap of faith and share an incall with other escorts that I pay monthly. It's expensive, but it has paid off. I have a lot more energy to work, I feel more well prepared when I see clients and a lot less anxious. When I decided to host from home I didn't think to myself ''oh I need to completely change the place'' because I was in a tough situation financially. It's a privilege to receive from an incall space if you're independent.. The way my place is decorated is wayyyy too personal and too connected to who I am ''in the real life''. My new incall space reflects ''Luna's personality'' a lot better.

A lot of providers host at their own home and there are different types of risks associated with it for sure but some spaces are more suitable than others. For example, a lot of girls live in condos that are decorated in a classic way and in a discreet area. One girl I did a duo with lives in a small apartment, but it's in a building and there's a lot of people coming and going so the neighbors could never really know what's going on. I live in a triplex, it's not as anonymous. Some people I know have an extra room or space that is separate from the rest of their room where they receive clients. One of my friends has a space that is accessible from another entrance and her clients don't see her living room and bedroom at all.

I can't imagine the preparation before receiving to make sure that no very common personal things are visible such as a card, a letter, etc. also the stress if you realize that during a session o_O

Honestly, it did add to the stress particularly since my place has a lot of objects.. It's clean but it's hard to tidy up because all of my art materials are here and I don't have enough storage for everything I own, so I always ended up forgetting something.. and even then, I felt judged pretty often. At some point I started making jewelry which was a really healing activity for me after a depressive phase, and a regular client I used to see made fun of me and said ''are you opening a kindergarten?''. I've also had people ask me if I had children because I have a lot of stuffed animals and I tend to like cute and pastel colored things. It's quite embarrassing. lol

I had a particularly strange experience once, there was a rumor about me being a heroin addict because I used to take THC oil to sleep and it required a syringe without a needle, and it was by my bed. Someone saw it and I started having a lot of questions from clients who were trying to score H... It was pretty scary. My biggest fear honestly wasn't that a client would snoop.. It's more that he would disrespect the space or spread more rumors like this, or that the neighbors would find out. I had a client I had only seen once leave something in my mailbox several months later, too.

I still take a lot of time preparing myself before an incall date, making sure everything is clean and smells good, creating an atmosphere etc. but the stress is much lower. I like that there's a clear separation between my personal life and my life as Luna now.

Don't know if this as been asked before (probably considering the number of pages :) ), but i'll ask anyway: from your experience, ladies, what's the ratio between MERB members and not in your clients?
I understand you don't systematicaly ask the question so i know it will be an approximation.
I'm asking the question cause i often notice that there's a gap between the availability of certain ladies and the number reviews of said ladies here.
Some people always assume that merbites "hide" some ladies by not reviewing their experience, that may be so; but another reason could also be that there's a good number of clients who simply don't come here.
(Of course there are also lurkers :) )
