Australian Open--Tennis

Ready for another great season? I am. Grand Slam season begins at the Australian Open. Should b a good tournament.

Men's side....i will pick Djoko to win vs Nadal. Of course will look at Federer, Milos and Shapo......wish them the best.

Women.....i will go with Kerber..seems to b back on track...just won Sydney tournament.....should b challenged by Halep or Pliskova.....will keep an eye on Venus,,Maria,Mugu and Sloane....love those girls....long shot could b Barty-Australian player. Serena is not playing.

So enjoy those 2 weeks....good tennis to all.

Sloane Stephens has not won a single match since her US Open Victory........0-7, with some totally uncompetitive first round losses to nobody players.........very strange, if she is healthy, but I think she may be playing hurt.

Sloane is now ranked 13th.....she plays tonight---around 7 heure d'ici----vs Zhang Shuai ranked 34.....hope Sloane will start the new year on the right foot!!!

Well Bouchard plays against Odin qui n'a pas joué depuis Septembre 2017 souffrant d'étourdissements...et elle a hésité a s'inscrire a Melbourne.....devrait être une proie facile....mais oui let's pray.....et SI jamais Eugénie gagnait elle jouerait au 2ème tour contre Halep...ouffffff.....sortons les chapelets...lollllll

Mes excuses a la Francaise..elle s'appelle Dodin....et je viens d'apprendre que Bouchard a une nouvelle équipe d'entraîneurs dont un qui était avec Serena et qui l'a grandement aidé......comme partenaire d'entraînement......Milos se prépare a jouer....enjoy.

Hum Doc....juste le contraire.....Milos does not look good to me....his fitness??? Se déplace lourdement et marche comme un vieillard.....something wrong there.

Now Eugénie...enfin elle a joué comme une vraie....1ère victoire--après 9 défaites coonsécutives--- depuis Août 2017. A gagné en 2 sets avec 12 as et une seule double faute...du bon tennis. And what about her pink uniform with yellow shoes...du bonbon....she looks good.

Son prochain match probablement vs Halep number one......ce ne sera pas du bonbon.

Milos Raonic appeared injured last night. He also appeared 'heavy'. After watching two sets it didn't surprise me he ended up losing.

I did watch the Bouchard match and i must admit it was very hard to watch. Mistakes galore!!! She seemed to have improved her serve but let's face it: THESE WERE TWO VERY BAD TENNIS PLAYERS PLAYING ONE ANOTHER.

It was nice to finally see her win a match. She hadn't won a match on the tour since August. But SO MANY MISTAKES!!! It reminded me of two amateur players playing one another. I remember thinking halfway into the match yesterday: "Watching this type of tennis must be torture on the referee."

Dodin vs Bouchard matchs ennuyant. Dodin pas vraiment en forme mentalement et physiquement!

C'etait une comedie d'erreurs!

Taburn....dommage...Shapo menait 5-2 au 5ème set...il était bien en contrôle ..... et tout a basculé....son 1er service est devenu défaillant--a peine 40% de réussite et cela est fatal face a un joueur de la trempe de Tsonga....Pas pour rien qu'on surnomme Tsonga le Mohamed Ali du tennis. A 32 ans tout un guerrier....

expérience et puissance...il n'abandonne jamais et sait donner le punch fatal. Je lui en veux mais l'admire tout a la fois. Jusque la Shapo avait été super et très énergique.....va sûrement apprendre beaucoup d'un tel match...et c'est ca l'important. Tout un match!!!

Bouchard va jouer cette nuit vers 3 heures:yawn:vs Halep.....cette dernière s'est blessée lors de son dernier match.....a suivre.

La sensation de l'heure a Melbourne est l'Ukrainienne de 15 ans MARTA KOSTYUK...se dirige au 3ème tour.....elle est sur une série de 11 victoires consécutives a Melbourne tant chez les juniors que les pros. Affrontera Svitolina...tout un match a prévoir. De plus elle est jolie comme un coeur...
