Be careful of Internet Cafes

I just received this anonymous message apparently sent from my own account warning me (and, yes thank you for telling me) about this problem:

"Be carefull in internet cafes
Hey buddy i logged on to MERB in a internet cafe and i noticed that i could not use my user because the pc has COOKIES that are on your user . That's it "

Has anyone else had this problem? What is the best way to handle it? I do subscribe to Anonymizer and other proxies, but I did not use them in while using these Internet cafe's PCs.

BTW: the cafe must have been NET 24 in Montreal as that was the only one I used.
