Personally, in montreal, the best ribs are the no name ribs at provigo....quebec doesn't really know BBQ

Forgive me for being ignorant on this.

What about Biddle's Jazz & Ribs?
Is it a tourist trap? Are the ribs good?
I always see their ad on my hotel room's TV when I am in town, and I see their print ads in the local tour books.

I have never been there so I am just wondering.
BTW is is still open? I know Charlie died a couple of years back.

I prefer Ribs from Kroger grilled in my back yard. I've had the ribs at Baton Rouge and I don't think they can compete with Rib restaurants in my part of the US.

Is that the place that always has the line up for takeout? If it is, the ribs and the chicken are amazing! But the ones I've had weren't baby back, they were beef ribs like at bar-b.
Don't know if Biddles is still open but they used to have great ribs until the place was sold. Last time I was there the ribs tasted the same as Cage aux Sports, in other words not very good.
Two places I used to love the ribs at are gone...Wings and Things and Tony Roma's.

Baton Rouge - pretty good - although I had expected Cajun cuisine

There is a place on St Jean near the Comfort Inn - Maison or something similar - good ribs

There's a greek / seafood place on Sources - sorry forget the name - Excellent baby back ribs Had an amusing moment with the waiter when he asked me how I wanted them prepared. I said cooked. (was his first day on the job) His mentor quipped back "I bet you want your coffee hot too." He smiled and explained to the pup that ribs only come one way.

Salted tasted back ribs........

Back Ribs in Brazil is spiced with salt here it is sugary, which tastes very very weird for a Brazilian mouth, just a litle cultural clash.

Does anyone knows of places in Montreal where grill back ribs could taste like salted foods?

Baton Rouge...but I heard from the a kitchen staffer that the reason why the meat falls off the bone is because they use something called "liquid smoke" to tenderize the meat...I'll ask exactly what this is next time I see the guy.

the ribs at bar-b-barn are pork. that's why you can order a "baby hawg", "half hawg" and "full hawg" there (3, 6 and 9 rib racks)

Believe it or not, Scores has outstanding ribs.
Fantastic value for the dollar.
Montana's also has a darn good rack.
