The ribs at Madisons are much better quality and value than Scores. I would rank them up there with any served in Montreal. Much better than Baton Rouge. I would say that the worst ribs are from St-Hubert BBQ, followed by Cage aux Sports.

No no no no. For outstanding ribs in Montreal, you guys have to go to Bofingers (they're located in NDG on Sherbrooke, but there's another one on Université below Ste-Catherine)

You"ll thank me for it...

Techman,
I had forgotten about Madisons. Yes, they are also very good.
One of the reasons I like Scores so much is that you can be in and out in no time flat but the quality is still good. They are also much cheaper, so it's great for a quick lunch.
But Madisons is great for a slightly higher end sit down take your time kind of meal.

If we're going to compare ribs, a distinction should be made between pork and beef. I'd rather have the best beef ribs and do away with pork altogether as to me, pork has a more greasy after taste. Yet, most of the posts here don't make the distinction.

The sheer size of BarB-Barn's ribs led me to believe they were beef ribs initially. Now, I'm not so sure.

Can someone confirm which establishment carries which type of rib?
