Relaxed ambiance. music like quiet jazz.Depends how you like your coffee... I dislike the coffee at Gentile (Chabanel and Downtown). Its too bitter and tastes like it was overcooked in the machine to me. Some swear by it... so to each their own. I also don't do commercial chain restaurants ever, so I may be a little jaded.
I do love the coffee at café Neve on Rachel (and their cookies). I can't avoid it whenever I go to Romados as its just across the street. Also, café Olympico in the Mile-End is fun in the summer and Lili & Oli in Little Burgundy (tiny place).
What kind of ambiance you looking for ?
Best coffee is Tim Hortons. Smoothest coffee, no bitter taste.
You are probably right. What Tim Hortons has in its favor is it that they sell coffee fast, it does not remain idle like at Starbucks and tastes bitter. I have not had McDonalds coffee in a long time, I will try it out soon and report back.I disagree. Ever since ownership exited Canada, they changed their ingredients suppliers. Everything turned to shit ever since.
If I had to choose, I actually prefer McDonald's, seems like they surpassed TH in terms of flavour. Sadly, pretty sure all those chains (including Starbucks) add a shit ton of artificial flavours to make you think its quality coffee.
If I can avoid drinking filtered coffee altogether, I will.
seriously no.Best coffee is Tim Hortons. Smoothest coffee, no bitter taste.
That and café Club Social right next block are the 2 good Mile-End ones. Then you have caffe Italia in Little Italy and several small shops /cafés in Saint-Léonard. As you can see, my taste are entirely dedicated to the italians when it comes to coffee, I dont drink anything else.Cafe Olimpico in Mile End - St. Viateur Street
Yeah and full of GILFS !Best coffee is Tim Hortons. Smoothest coffee, no bitter taste.
