Get a script for Viagra. Tell your Dr. that you are having stress at work and it is adversely affecting your performance. Now, my performance is fine but I like to juice for the hobby. No border guard has ever asked about this. I would say you got to be kidding that is my script and that is all I would say. They could take it away if you do not have a script.

SSJ - My Dr. told me that you really should never have to take that much (maybe for my age). He told me to bite off a little corner. That is wheat I do. I go through one tablet on a 5 day hobby trip///so the 20 mg is an advantage.
Yup, you should go that route Hungry. You can get 30 tablets of revatio for $40 at Costco in the States. The only thing is your doctor would have to feel comfortable prescribing it to you off label since Revatio is for pulmonary hypertension not ED.

Some good comments here. But what about Viagra ? Clearly a narrower scope of how you could explain it and your visit.

I have never brought any with me, but am thinking about it more, as it would certainly make a positive difference in a visit of several days or more.

If it's prescribed to you and in the prescription bottle there is nothing wrong with bringing it across the border. The question would be "why did you bring Viagra with you to Canada"? The answer, I brought all of my prescription drugs with me to Canada.

Guys, remember it is not illegal to have sex in Canada, just illegal to directly buy sex with cash.

It is not even illegal to purchase the time and companionship of an escort.

If a person goes clubbing, had might score for "free", and might want to have his Viagra with him.
All valid points Patron, I think Mistral's point was more about having all these items (condoms, viagra, etc.) on you plus the border officer's suspicions about your reason for visiting. So I think his reasoning is the less things you have on you that could reinforce their suspicions the better?

Ummm, isn't prostitution legal in Canada? Coming to see a hooker shouldn't be any more of a problem than coming to buy groceries...

When I read this initially, I presumed the problem was going in to the States...

I think the issue comes into play when they ask you for your intention of the visit (business or pleasure). If it's business and more than a certain numbers of days, you need to pay taxes. If you say pleasure and have been crossing more than a few times, they can potentially question you about your true intentions which they can say you lied to them about in their initial question.

I remember going to Thousand Islands last year and booked a three night stay at a local motel. Needless to say, as a single guy taking my married coworker with kids' advice on vacation spots was a bad idea. I ended up only staying local for only one day and went across the border to Kingston and then to Montreal the next day (as planned). I was questioned more heavily on the second crossing to Canada and even the US border agent bought it up on my return trip a few days later.

Prostitution is 100% legal, buying a prostitute is illegal, but the laws are ignored for the most part as there hasn't been anyone charged for buying sex.

but still

I have never had a script for Viagra, but will probably get one in the near future. ssj124 correct my question was in relation to raising suspicion. I never bring condoms (completely unnecessary), I clean my phone and only visit Canada a couple times a year. So the main thing I see that might raise suspicion would be the V. Was curious if any of you guys had been asked about it and what you said. If ever asked, I'd probably just give some bland answer that I always have it when I travel (along with all my other supplies in my travel kit).

I've crossed the border between the US and Canada by car dozens of times.

I've found that the responses that gets me through the fastest tend to be the most honest.

Why are you going to Canada?
Pleasure

What are you going to do?
Go to Shwarz's for lunch then walk along St. Catherines.

At that point the Border Guard knows why I'm going and moves to the other questions like fire arms and currency.

It's pretty much the same thing on the way back. The US border guards have even fewer questions.

I keep my phone completely blank and safe, and save all the numbers on a separate gmail account. If they start searching for that I've got bigger problems.

I came to this set of responses by trial and error. I've tried others, sometimes they were even true (Christmas shopping, site seeing) but those brought on more questions and more complications.

Hope this helps.

Not sure if this answers your question. But, once coming into Vermont from Montreal my car and luggage was searched. They did look at all of the prescription drugs I had (viagra being one of them) and their only concern was that my name was on my the prescription label. Which it was. If it's a legit prescription there really is nothing wrong with carrying it or bringing it along with you.

Never driven but in Customs at the airport I always tell them to visit the Casino de Montreal and to visit my old boss/buddy who lives in Westmount. Which is half true btw.

Why I would hobby mostly in Montreal? Because the girls up in Montreal are waaaay above par to the U.S. counterparts! Even a mediocre Montreal girl is way ahead of a hot girl in the U.S. not to mention much cheaper too especially the exchange rate.

It is the border guards on the American side that make trouble. Ever since 911 they think they have dicks. They treat people like crap.

That is the right-wing conservative way... Militarism.

Have any of you guys been sent to secondary screening lately? I arrived the other day and for the first time after speaking to the first agent I was sent to a second line to be screened again. They asked me all the same questions again and I guess saw how often I visit and was wondering why I come here when I don't know anyone and am not meeting people here. I kept my cool but my heart started racing after the second agent started questioning me further. I might need to stay away for a while now!

My answers were consistent but I really don't know how they would've communicated because the first guy that interviewed me just took the next person in line and didn't talk to the second person at all. Unless he sent her an electronic message or something.

There could be any number of reasons for why you're sent to secondary. Could be you're the lucky 10th person with a blue shirt. The main thing is to stay relatively cool, be consistent, don't lie, and don't be a smart ass. Most of their questions are rhetorical. They know your criminal history (to a point), know where you live, how many bags you checked and what color they are etc.. Land travel is a little different, especially at the smaller ports. I love crossing at a few of them just to BS with the regular officers.

Boy this thread got me so nervous before I crossed over yesterday.

Silly me. It was one of the easiest crossings yet. Sunday on a Canadian holiday weekend seems really easy. I was literally asked 3 basic questions. Where are you going, where are staying, and how long. Didn't even ask the drugs/weapons question!

The guy was super friendly. He seemed totally not interested. Usually it's like a 30 minute ordeal waiting in line. I got through in like 10 minutes.

Just be friendly and don't act suspicious. Smile and laugh, even if they are a jerk. The guy who started this thread must have done something suspicious.
